Ios6 and iPhone 4S rotation option.

After downloading ios6 my iPhone 4S screen does not rotate I have updated my iPad with ios6 and the rotation option is in settings but not on my phone can you help.

Screen rotation is not in Settings on the iPhone. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi task tray. Swipe to the right and it should bring up the music icon, volume and to the left of that a circular icon. If you can see the lock in the icon, it is locked in portrait orientation. Tap that again and it will unlock it.

Ios6 and iPhone calendar sync

The only calendar that is syncing is my exchange account for work. I have over 15 other .me calendars that should be syncing (and were before I upgraded to ios6. Please help.

Figured out the problem after several trips to Apple and completely erasing the phone 3 times 2 times restoring from backup (minimum 4+ hours each time) and then finally completely erasing and reinstalling every app 500+ on the phone one by one (8 hours later). Today I came across an app that wanted to tie my Facebook calendar with my iPhone and ALL calendars "GONE AGAIN". Turned off Facebook calendars and BOOM there are my calendars just like before.

IBooks Author iOS6 and iPhone

Hi all, this probably can't be answered immediately as ios6 has only just been annaounced, but I'm wondering if iBooks made using iBooks Author might now be compatible with the iPhone/iPod Touch running ios6? rather than exclusively on for the iPad

Icloud deletes all or part of your contact informaiton; if you decied to get rid of it. I am changing my Iphone for Android. As I delete the Icloud; it deleted part of my contact list on my cell phone.
Applicaitons don't come up correctly or intermittently.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Hi Everyone. I tried everything and in the end I went to apple and in 5mins problem was solved - they gave me a new (refurb) iphone.
So to everyone with the same issues the only way to salvage ur iphone is to get a new one. Best bit was that i came with ios 5.1.1 and i am stcking with it!

I have watched the Apple presentation about Maps. It does NOT enable one to get the EXCELLENT google Street View Maps does at the moment. This is so incredibley useful to view somewhere you are looking for before you arrive to help you find it. The flypast nowhere matches it. Whart do others think?

I use the TomTom app. Unlike Google maps which you connect to online, TomTom updates their maps on a specified period. There is an advantage though, if you are driving in an area with no cell coverage you still have maps and GPS. The more up-to-date Google maps won't do you any good in that case. And with the current system you still don't have turn-by-turn.
My understanding is with the new Maps app TomToms map database will be online so it will be updated on-the-fly the same as Google. Downside: won't be available without a data connection.
Again, if you prefer Google look at one of the many Android phones. Or try the new Maps system on iOS 6. Apple's only other option was to have no Maps app at all.

Ipad and Iphones (w/ iOS 6) 802.11n AP's with TSPEC video enable

Does not work with Enterprise 11n AP's wth TSPEC (admission control) enabled.
If TSPEC is disabled, it connects and work OK. Any experiences or thoughts??.

We have Cisco branded 1142's and have noticed the same thing. It seems to be the combination. If we disable N radio....things work. Or, disable admission control and it will start working. iphone 4 on ios6 and iphone 5 on ios6 behave the same way. iphone 4 on ios 5.1.1 works.

They do.
Standby = press the Power button
Power off = Press and hold Power button then slide the red power off slider.
Reset = Press and hold both Reset adn Home till you see the Apple logo.

Try forcing the phone into recovery mode. Disable ALL anti-virus & firewalls first.
Turn your phone off, then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option of restoring from backup or as a new device.

Can I go back to an older version of iTunes that'll support both my iPhone 4S w/iOS6 and my 2009 MacBook running Leapord 10.5.8? I simply want everything to work the way it had been forever until recently. However, I can't imagine Apple would intentionally make their own products obsolete by rendering them useless through a software "upgrade." My MacBook is only 3 yrs old so I feel like I am simply missing 1 piece to this puzzle in order for things to start working again. My iPad won't connect via cell after installing iOS6 and may now think it is an iPhone!?!

Question pretty much says it all...
I upgraded to iOS6 and now I cannot connect to anything using cell/3G/4G. Error messages say odd things like 'Your iPhone is not configured properly'. Odd that an iPad would say this!
So I CAN use the iPad For now via wifi but when I turn on the cellular data under the main Settings screen, there are no options/buttons to access my AT&T data service, check my account, etc, like would normally be there with iOS5. The poly options available are to either turn on cellular data and to set SIM PIN..
When I turn on cellular data, it goes to 'Searching...' in the upper left of the screen as it would normally do if I was out of range of a cell tower or something and just keeps 'searching'.
So...any thoughts? I'm unable to find a place to look at my AT&T data account anywhere under settings to verify that it exists and the iPad is 'touching' it.
I'd prefer not to wipe clean and start again from last restore but I am at the end of my creative and technical capabilities.

I have the same problem with iPhone 3GS, it wont connect to cell data after update to iOS 6.
everytime i want to connect to internet with any apps on my iPhone, i have to connect from a Wifi first.
this is frustating...
are there any solution for this?
