IOS6 beta 2 downgrade to 5.1.1

Hi,
I have upgraded my iPad 3 with iOS 6 beta 2.
How do I downgrade it back to 5.1?
any ideas?

I was able to downgrade to 5.1.1.
The TomTom app was not working with my Dual GPS device. Now after restoring to 5.1.1 it is working great.

There is no legit way to downgrade at all.
Most have no issue with any update. What problems are you having? Have you tried the basics: restart, reseet, restore

You have to restore your phone. To do this turn off your phone and disconnect it from your pc or mac. You then have to plug in the usb part of your sychronize cable into your pc or mac. Open itunes. Now press and hold on the home button on your iphone and plug the cable into it while still holding down the home button. Your iphone will now be in recovery mode and on itunes you will see the option that says restore. Click on that and your phone will be restored to factory settings. If you backed up your itunes all your apps will be downloaded back on to your phone. Including all your contacts and text messages. It took me a couple of tries to restore my phone when this happened so if it doesnt work the first time do it again. Took me two tries. TS3989 i recently updated ios software to ios6 beta 4 and lost a lot of photos from photostream from my iPhone, how do i recover these as they are still in my iPad?

having had trouble updating to iOS6 Beta 4 i lost a load of photos off my iphones photostream, now they are still in my ipads photostream but i cant figure out how to recover them onto my iPhone. Any help would be fantastic guys and gals

If i made a back up of an ios 7 beta and downgraded could i reinstall it on to the full version

I recently made an ios 7 beta backup on my laptop and downgraded to ios 6. This wiped my phone and i was just wandering if when the full release of ios 7 came out the back up could be put onto that.

Do anyone know how to stop reminders in iCal with ms exchange under iOS6 beta?

Since I've started testing iOS 6 beta, I can't kill the reminders in exchange calendar....after restart the calendar app, they are there, again...
Nothing to see in the mac cal app or in the owa! No reminders, especially on iPhone 4 and iPad 3, running with the iOS 6 beta...ok...it's beta 1...is there anyone else with this problem?

The newest Version 5.0.1 (1547.4) of iCal, for Mac OSX Lion (Version 10.7.2), has the Sort Manually option for Reminders. As stated in the preceding reply, however, this option is not available in the iCloud Calendar. Therein lies the problem, apparently.
Yesterday, I was on the phone with Apple Support for an nearly two hours, trying to get to the bottom of this issue. Not knowing the answer, the first person I talked to referred me to someone in the iApps department. The person in the iApps department could not resolve the problem either. So, I was referred to a senior technician in that department. After a lengthy diagnosis, this person confirmed that this is a system-wide problem in which the function is missing. The case was forwarded to the engineers, and I will be notified when they have a response.
Once, I get the response, I will update this discussion thread.

I tried to downgrade my iphone4s os from ios6 (beta 4) to ios 5.0.1(factory settings).
but all the time i am getting the following error.

I am from india, ios6 maps are not at all working for india so i want to go for old version so that i can have google maps.

You couldn't go back to 5.0.1 even if you wanted to, it would have to be 5.1.1 but if you had a signed copy of the iOS 6 beta on your iPhone I don't believe you can go back.
You can try Google to see if you can find a workaround. Despite the map issue, if you are a developer don't you need the Beta on your iPhone?

it wont even turn on, it keeps going back and forth between the black screen and then the apple mark pops up for a few seconds, and then turns back to the black screen again... and that just keeps going on...

Seems like ios6 isn't any good for any of their devices. I have an iPhone 4 and recently updated to ios6 and have had all the wifi problems and apps getting hung up on load screens. Restore is your best bet and downgrade if you can back to ios 5.1. If restore doesn't help with a fresh install of ios6 then call every Apple support number you can find and be heard like the 1,000s of other people like us with ios6 problems demanding support. There doesn't seem to be any quick fixes for ios6 other than an update from Apple.

Safari 4.0 Beta always crashing on Windows XP...

I had a Windows XP partition (which ended up getting very bad malware, so I deleted it and started a new one) on my MBP, and Safari 4.0 Beta always crashed on it (this was before the malware infection). Now, jump to my new Windows XP partition: so far, Safari 4.0 crashed only once in the few hours I had it (I'm expecting it to probably crash again very soon). Is there any known bug(s) with Safari 4.0 Beta to cause it to crash this often? Am I better off downgrading to 3.x?

So I'm assuming, then, that there are some bugs that need working out with Safari 4.0 Beta for Windows. After all, I've used Safari 4.0 Beta for Mac ever since it was released and I never had it crash once. I guess, if Safari keeps randomly crashing on me in Windows, I'll have to temporarily downgrade to 3.x until they fix this issue with a finalized 4.0...

It's bigger that the new one and also more spacing between chracters too.
It's look Clean and Friendly for use.
It's very PERFECT when I'm driving, running, walking, ...
It's not make me feel like using BlackBerry, SAMSUNG, NOKIA, MOTO. ANDROID.
The Previous Thai Keyboard is PERFCT.
Anyway, Most Thai people like the new one but...How about iUser ?
And This Is Why I'm Here. Finally, Please have an Update to make iOS6 better with the function that can change to Old Style Keyboard.

Why ios6 why not android ?

Hi , I have a blackberry now but I dont want to use it anymore. I want to buy a new phone which can be iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy s3. I love Applw products a lot. I liked iPhone 5 more than Galaxy s3 but the imporant thing is galaxy has more powerful battery and you can have extra battery to replace when the battery dies. But iPhone has more useful features which are better than s3 but battery is important for me. And my big question is what is the difference that you think makes ios6 better than android? Can you please explain it to me ? I can't decide which phone I should buy.

Why is Boost being downgraded from Version 1.42 to the older 1.41?

Just ran pacman -Syu and noticed the package Boost Version 1.41 is going to replace the newer Boost 1.42. Why the downgrade, does anyone know what happened? I personally didn't have any conflicting issues with Boost 1.42, perhaps others have? By downgrading versions, many new features such as library improvements in Asio, Circular Buffer, Fusion, Graph, Integer, Iostreams, Program Options, Property Map, Regex, Spirit, Unordered, and Xpressive are being lost.

there is a serious issue with boost 1.42 and upstream doesn't have a fix yet. An user suggested that is better to downgrade boost to 1.41.
What do you think about this? Wait upstream to fix this and backport it or downgrade? If downgrade, who want to help on rebuilding?

maybe i wasn't clear. encfs is a special case and is broken because of a bug in boost. pasting the comment here:

This is not "just for encfs", but for serious datacorruption. Encfs is
an example of something that breaks, but if serialization and
deserialization doesn't return the same data as the input data, then

Go for it. It is a small rebuild list and can be moved from [testing] as soon as the build is finished (we know 1.41 works...).
I'd appreciate if this was done quickly. I have a toolchain update and the start of the gmp rebuild sitting on my here waiting to upload.

IOS beta 2 issues

Hi apple,
I am using the ios6 beta 2 version. Here are a few issues that've occured..
I cant take pictures with my camera. It crashes straight away after i launch the app. I also cannot take pictures using a third party app. Therefore its like my camera is totally useless now.
Secondly, i cannot facetime. People can call me and they can see me. But they cannot hear me...we've tried calling several times but still to no avail. Hopefully apple will solve the issue when the official ios is out. Thanks

I am having problems activating, restoring or doing anything with my iPhone. I have the iOS6 beta version on my phone and when i try to update to the gold version it keeps telling me that my phone is ineligible for the build. Any ideas on what i can do?

This firmware is expired. It cannot be used anymore. You'll need to update to the public release of iOS 6 to continue using it.
Download the firmware from Apple directly, then hold the Option key and click Restore in iTunes. Select the IPSW for the public version of iOS 6 and install that.
