Ios6 cannot auto screen lock

ios6 cannot auto screen lock even i set it to lock in 1 min,
anyone can help me?

I just noticed that my iPhone 4 with IOS 6 doesn't do auto lock screen, even I have confirmed that it is set to auto lock in 1 minute.
I am not sure how i fixed it, but here is what I did...
set auto lock to NEVER.
set passcode lock to OFF.
set auto lock to 1 minute.
set passcode lock to ON.
After setting my passcode lock, my phone would auto lock screen again.
Hope this works for everyone.
P.S. I forgot to mention that I had assistive touch enabled all the time.

Auto screen lock causes streaming Rhapsody to stop

One reason I got an IPhone is so I could listen to Rhapsody.com while I work out and in the car. It's been working fine up until recently. The auto lock setting is one minute, and Rhapsody has not been affected by that at all until now. That is, Rhapsody would keep playing until I stopped it, regardless of the screen lock setting.
Now, Rhapsody stops when the screen goes dark after a minute. Don't know why it worked fine one day and not the next when I didn't change anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Mine does that every once in a while! I just have to simply turn my device off and then turn it back on and for some reason that seems to do the trick.

And the screen light doesn't completely dim out until the screen locks. Isn't it a step of backward? I just need a 5800 with capacitive touch screen. Should i expect Nokia to fix it for every phone that with this backward step?

Am not sure about your requirement (..sorry, did not understand it)..but on Nokia 5800xm you can either automatically lock the screen after a pre defined period..or simply keep it Unlocked infintely. Menu-->Settings-->Phone-->Phone Management-->Auto Keyguard..set the period to User defined or None as you desire...But, even with this set to None.. the display will go out between 5 and 60 seconds max. (..again user defined) ..Menu-->Settings-->Phone-->Display-->Light time-out ...

Cannot disable screen lock on my galaxy 4

When my Galaxy 4 was purchased I could disable the screen lock feature by selecting "None" from the various screen lock choices. Now, the "None" choice is not shown. Is there another way to disable screen lock?

THat is rather strange the option for none is no longer in there. Have you recently downloaded any new software or applications? I have 2nd gen Ipad which I recently updated to ios 6.1.2 and my auto cover lock does not work, so is the lock button, i cannot lock my ipad manually!!

I recently updated my ipad wifi only to the new ios 6.1.2 and initially I had the auto cover lock option which can be seen in the Generals tab, but then it stoped working!! Before the update, the auto cover lock worked fine. So after trying all the options, I then did a complete reset on the ipad and now its gone all together from the General tab!! I can no longer see the "auto cover lock" option.
It got really annoying when I tried to use the lock button and it wont lock the sceen!! To test whether the button was allright, I did a long press and the message came if I wanted to shut down the ipad. So the button works fine, but I cannot use it to manually lock the ipad. Now the only way to lock the ipad is to wait for 2 mins (autolock) and still I cannot wake up the Ipad using the lock button. To do that I have to use the Home Screen button
Does any one else have similar issues and any solutions pls!! Cheers

The iPad cover lock is for when you use a cover with magnets in it to lock and unlock the iPad when you close the cover or open it. Try running a refrigerator magnet along the sides of the iPad and see if that trips the iPad Cover Lock back into the settings.
That is not the same thing as the iPad Auto Lock setting which allows you to set an allotted time before the iPad goes to sleep.
You can try resetting all settings to see if the Auto Lock feature retinrs to the iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again.

Yes, you can. You can configure the Side Switch (above the volume button) either as Mute switch or Rotation lock.
Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: choose what you like the Side Switch to function as.

What you did was sync it to a computer. The iPhone can sync to ONLY one iTunes library at a time. you can't put media on it from multiple computers. It's been this way since 6/29/2007.

Screen Lock for iP4 on iOS6

i noticed that the screen lock function is not working on iOS 6. i have set my screen to 1 minute but the screen doesn't turn off. I have to click the power button to close my screen.

i tried disabling the assistive touch and the auto lock function works fine.
for now, i will have to manually auto lock my phone until Apple fixes this issue. the reason for using the assistive touch is to prevent my home button wearing out due to frequent use. the home button is expensive to repair.

I've restarted several times. If I restore from backup, unfortunately the backup was done after iOS7 downloaded. Now, am I wrong that "restore as new" will essentially wipe me out? If so, and having backup, you're saying essentially start over and then backup?

How can I use screen lock and auto-logout together?

I'm managing a network of Macbook Pros at an elementary school and would like to use both the screen lock and automatic logout features together, but this does not seem to work for some reason.
What I would like to happen:
After 5 minutes: locked screen
After 30 minutes: automatically logged out
The automatic logout works when I don't have locked screen enabled, but once I turn on locked screen, the account never gets logged out. It does work if I only enable the screen saver to appear after 5 minutes. The computer isn't going to sleep so I'm not sure what is preventing the automatic logout.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

You can use LabVIEWs UDP functions to communicate with SNMP devices. The tedious part is converting the MIB information into the required hex message.
There is also a problem in using the UDP functions on port 161 (default SNMP port) if the Windows SNMP services is running.

5800 screen locked (cant unlock), how can i restor...

Basically i have a 5800 xpress music nokia, the screen lock slide button stopped working, so i started poking something down into the slide gap to push against the white button to unlock the phone, now that has broken and the screen is on constant lock and there is no way of unlocking it, Turn phone off, enter pin, screen auto locks before i get chance to do anything.
Is there a way i can restore factory settings through the media suite ofr any other ways? i can not enter any codes (obviously) as the screen is on constant lock!

I purchased a new Iphone 5S about a couple of months back. The phone use to hang up occassionally with a white screen and the black apple logo on it. Two days back the screen went unresponsive. I cannot enter the lock code. Everything seems to be normal otherwise. I can see the Atnt signal, I get calls. The find my iphone app on a different device can locate my iphone. I can even take screenshot by pressing the home key and power button simultaneously.
I took the phone to apple store and they say they will issue me a new phone. I dnt mind but I will loose the data on the phone. It was never backed up because my icloud is filled with data from my ipad. Is there a work around to get the data back.?

Are you sure that the battery is not empty: when the battery is VERY empty (that is when it was on and a long time off the charger) it may take an hour or even more to start charging with the charger connected. When you have an iPad charger you can also use that one, and it charges a bit faster.

Iphone 4 screen locked

my iphone's screen is locked, it says that is locked, my iphone is like in a mode. Sometimes screen unlocks and when i unlock the screen with my password , screen locks and goes black again. I turn on the voice, that voice says that my screen is locked!!!

Help - Screen Lock Password Language

I have the screen lock option activated, and today while this happened my keyboard was on Hebrew, my screen locked. Now I cannot change it back to English keyboard, and therefore I can't type my password in. I have tried using Caps Lock to type in English (small case, so it is OK) but that seems to be an issue too.

PS - I am not sure that this is my OS version, as I can't check it. However, I can say that it was bought in March 2010.

Boot with your Snow Leopard install disk and in the menu items (when installer first starts up) will be a Reset Master Password option. Do that and boot back into the Mac with that new password.
