Ios6 download

Trying to update my iphone 4 with the ios6 update and when I started update with icloud it finished and prompted me to conect to itunes. When conected it tells me that the iphone update server can not be found. I have update itunes and restarted several times plus checked my proxy setting but nothing works.
At this point I can not even use the phone and need help!

I was bummed to find out the iPad wouldn't have it as we'll. some people think it wouldn't be useful on the bigger device but I disagree.

I reset modem and router. Still have the same issue. I have a laptop connected to the network as well as a PS3. Both are working great. Did a Speedtest app test on iphone. With 3g it was working good. When i switched to wifi, it was trying to get the ping test accomplished, and could not. it was stuck in the ping test at 0% for a long time and never progress.

Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next connect to iTunes and update via iTunes. Others have had the same problem.

How do i retrieve my contacts after a ios6 download?

I just completed my iOS6 update. In my contacts all of the phone numbers are listed but no names, addresss or emails. How can I get this information back? I looked on the icloud but it's empty too. I checked my iTunes but I only see my music there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

HT1695 Wi-Fi is not working after iOS6 download

My wi-fi continues to drop after I downloaded the new software iOS6. It connects then sends me to an apple page and on the page it says "hmmmm the page you are looking for cannot be found" then it drops my wi-fi signal.
I've tried turning it off then back on i've tried turning wi-fi off then back on I even switched off my router and then back on and my laptop is working fine with the wi-fi but my iphone 4s is not. any ideas?

Since our last interaction we have gathered a bit more information on the subject.
The error appears because of a corrupted file in backup, in section "Phone and application settings" (english key icon in back up process section, where you can choose which data to save. Do not include this part in backup).
To solve this,
- you do need to make a hard reset (*#7370# ),
- then re-install Nokia Belle with the Nokia Suite and restore back up, except that part (meaning a backup without Phone and applications settings included).
It should solve the issue.
If the error remains, it's necessary to make a Deep Reset ( phone switched off, press low volume, camera and menu keys, then switch on phone maintaing hold on those keys until phone starts) before reinstall Belle and restore back up as i say before.

Problems with my wifi connection after iOS6 download.

After I made actualization for my iPad and iPhone to iOS6, I have problems with the wifi of my devices. When I use them in my room what is served with my access point, the connection interrupt after few minutes. The signal is there but I cant navigate or download nothing. But this not happend in the room where my main router is. Can you help me? I already made som changes at the devices, but it doesen't work !

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

IOS6 downloaded for iPhone 4, now phone requires factory restore?

I just attempted to download iOS6 for my iPhone 4. Not sure if it downloaded all the way. But at one point after starting the download, when I looked at the phone, it was powered off. When I tried to turn it on, it forced me to plug into iTunes. iTunes then tried to force me to do the factory restore to wipe out everything on my phone. I can't do this, because my photos and videos are not backed up anywhere. I don't understand why I have no other option than a full factory restore. Please help. I am so upset right now.

It's not normal. You may have a problem in your backup. You can try to restore as new, i.e. without your backup.

Ipad2 stuck after ios6 download-HELP PLEASE!

I downloaded the new ios6 update on my ipad2, not thinking that i would need to plug my ipad into my desktop to complete the download by connecting to itunes. My desktop has died & i have no way to connect my ipad to an actual computer to do so. So my ipad is now stuck on the screen that shows the usb cord/arrow/itunes symbol. Help..what do i do? Ive tried the hard reset, nothing.

Thanks for your reply. I tried that. It wouldn't even let me download to computer. I tried download and install first. Then figured I would download first, then try to install. No luck. On computer it said "Network connection lost" check network settings. Not sure what to check for? I had Internet conn. and wifi at all times. So frustrated!

Downloaded iOS6, now showing 'Checking for Update', does not go back to iOS6 install. Download bar was complete, phone was in verifying stage (I think).

Just an update, after a really long time (probably 30 min) the iPhone went back to the iOS6 install and worked just fine.

Help! I don't have my computer. Tried a wifi download of ios6 on my iPhone 4 and it turned off on its own. When I turned it on it gives me an iTunes connect prompt. Can I use another's computer.

TS1702 New ipad useless after the ios6 download

You would think I would learn my lesson buying apple products so very fed up with them brand new ipad worked ok for a week downloaded ios6 and its so rubbish I have far to many complaints to list all it seems fit for is the bin so angry with myself for falling for yet another one .

If you are unhappy with the iPad, return it. This is a forum for technical help for users that want help and not for complaints. Do yourself a favor - and those of us that want help and/or offer it willingly - if you dont want help with the iPad and you are fed up - return your iPad and move on.

Iphone after ios6 download not working

I tired to dowload the new ios6 but the iphone stopped after dowloading half and went black. Then I tried to turn it back on but now only a white apple icon is shown every 5 seconds :-( What am I supposed to do?

I've already tried to backup or import the videos on another Mac but it's not working.
The other Mac is brand-new and has almost no apps installed...
So the problem is obviously related to the iPhone 5.

Can't sync iPhone to calendar on PC after iOS6 download

This happened last time I downloaded iOS5 - my calendar on my PC (I use the iCalendar in Outlook) won't sync with my iPhone or iPad through the Cloud I didn't change any settings, but it won't work. Help!

Check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) on your iPhone and iPad. Here be sure you have selected the calendar listed under your iCloud account name as your default. (This is the only one that syncs with iCloud.) If you change this, add a new event on your calendar and see if it syncs to your PC now.
