Deselect the remaning boxes then click Reset.
Quit and relaunch Safari.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I'd been waiting for a player of this size for a few years now but Creative was behind the power curve so I temporarily switched to an Archos 80gb. After the Archos began to annoy me I ended up just going with the Zen 32gb flash based player. It works/ed great. This new Zen X-Fi2 however is unbearably slow! I don't mind quite sometime to rebuild the library once the initial sync is done but when it takes 5 minutes to load a playlist (3000+ songs) then I get upset. It takes so long to load said playlist that the player shuts off before it has time to load all the songs. I can't even just click play right away like I could on the Zen. The only way I've been able to get around it is to tap the screen twice. Once to load the playlist (which takes forever if it's more than 00 songs) and again to play once the lengthy loading process is over with. However even then it doesn't load all the songs. I've been communicating with tech support about this with no resolution in sight. All they keep telling me is how 'normal' it is for a player to load a large number of songs. My Zen which is an MTP player syncs and plays music much faster! Is there anyway to possibly upgrade this to an MTP player?

Almost 2 months on from your original post I see that you have received no reply from an administrator. Are these problems still persisting with your player? I have an X-Fi Style too and am experiencing the same problems. Like you I was hoping that firmware updates would address the problem. I don't think that the Style is a priority for Creative and unfortunately I don't see them bothering to solve these issues. Hope I'm wrong cos otherwise I love the X-Fi Style.

IPhone 6 and 6 plus camera extremely slow when using flash

I have noticed that the iPhone 6 and 6 plus camera is extremely slow when using flash, it is definitely slower than iPhones 5 and 5s.

Extremely Slow when Opening a new tab

I have just bought my new Retina MacBook Pro after my 3 years Macbook Pro 13" is total lost and get the Mountain Lion OSX with latest 10.8.2 version
After migrating the MacOSX from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion, my Mac is everything ok but without Safari.
Once I wanna open a webpage from bookmarks bar, I usually open a new tab then click one of webpage in one of the bookmarks bar. The problem was happened in this action.
After I opening a new tab which I have set to show top site rather than History (all top site are locked like a set of bookmarks), the system extremely slow down even I just move my mouse from one bookmark to another on the bookmarks bar, it still have a bit serious delay more than a second.
I have just tested, if i choose history not top site is shown when I am opening a new tab, the performance really better. However, when I scroll to somewhere all have thumbnails for those webpages, the performance still slow down but not yet as serious as the top site and I think becasue I have choose over 12 webpages for topsite (which are all have thumbnails).
My new Retina MacBook Pro is the lower default spec i7 2.3GHz and the version now is MacOSX 10.8.2 with Safari 6.0.1
one of place I want to mentioned is my Safari and Safari Webpage Content are over 500MB once I have opened. Is it common and normal? Macbook Pro gets Extremely slow when itunes is open

When I launch Itunes my mac gets extremely slow. I mean so slow that right now it is open and i am watching my words catch up to my typing. If I play a song on itunes my processor doesn't go about 40% and it is still extremely slow. I even tried to wirelessly sync my iphone and it still is like this. Any one know why. I have lion with all updates. If I don't launch itunes I'm fine When I launch Itunes It drags like a mother...lol any and all help appreciated TIA!!

How much free space on the startup disk?
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you have a minimum of 15% free disk space.

Yoga 2 Pro - extremely slow when plugged to an external monitor with Windows 10

Hi! Like most of you, I was eager to take the step early and try Windows 10 (knowing the risk of running into some problems on the way). Everything works very smoothly, and Win10 is really delightful. The only major problem I've faced is that when I plug an external monitor, every action (launching Firefox for example) takes ages and many apps "doesn't respond". Videos are extremely slow when trying to view them

Here is the situation. I have been posting course material for over a year now, and everything had been working fine. Over the last week, any video that I try to view from our iTunes U site is taking at least 5 minutes to play, when I double click on the video I get the loading bar, the videos that are less than 30 minutes long take between 5 - 8 minutes to play, the ones that are over 30 minutes take between 10 - 15 minutes to play. This had never happened before, and the weird thing is that I can go to any other iTunes U site and view videos that are two hours long and it takes less than a minute to play. So I know its not my network bandwidth or I wouldn't be able to view other sites. I use an iMac with a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of Ram, bought specifically for iTunes U administration. I don't know what else to do. Any help or advice will be truly appreciated.

I have also found our iTunes U site extremely slow for the past few weeks. It also took a long, long time to log into Admin. But at least for us, there has been a noticeable change (for the better) in the last few days.

Processing speed of my MacBook is extremely slow when opening applications, whether Mail, Safari or MSOffice

Problem description:
The processing speed of any function is extremely slow - such as opening Mail, Safari, clicking on a page within Safari, switching to MS Word, adding a window in Safari, loading a page from Safari. I get the spinning wheel most of the time before the action is completed. All other Macs which are newer in my home WiFi network operate just fine. I have done a top level (novice) check for malware, and haven’t found anything. Any help you can suggest would be truly appreciated! Thank you!

Before you do anything do you have a current backup? If not make one.
I don't see any of the usual software suspects associated with slow downs. You don't need the Seagate software, you should uninstall that.

You only have 2GB of ram and could upgrade to 8GB, but Snow Leopard should run ok in 2GB.....not great but ok.
Start up in Safe Mode OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support be paitient as it will take awhile to start as it checks and tries to repair any problems with the file system. Once it's completely started up you can restart normally.
Insert your Snow Leopard disc and restart while holding the C key. Run Disk Utility to repair the hard drive and permissions. While in Disk Utility check the SMART status of the hard drive, anything other than Verified indicates a problem with the hard drive.
Again, you only have 2GB of ram.....try restarting your Macbook every day.....it's been running for almost a week now.

PC extremely slow when files exchanged between LR and CS6

Thats what happens: I open a file in LR3.6, edit the file (.CR2) and open it via the context menue ("open in ...") in CS6 (as a copy with changes from LR). Changing/editing the picture works fine. Then I close it (CTRL W) with saving as .tif. Then the PC (WIN 7 Pro) becomes extremely slow (takes several minutes before it accepts the next click). Only way out seems to be to close LR and CS6. The situation is reproducable.

I cannot use iTunes anymore. My computer becomes extremely slow or just freezes. I notice the problem started after I updated iTunes to a new version. I have tried uninstalling iTunes completely from my computer and installing it back, but problem continues. We iTunes launches, it tries to connect to iTunes store, but it doesn't seem to be able to do that either. I can't sync my iPod or play back my music, please help.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

YouTube extremely slow when accessed using WiFi

I find that, in the last day or so, accessing YouTube has become painfully slow when using WiFi. It was working fine earlier in the week.
EDGE connections have faster downloads but the quality is really poor.
Anyone with similar problems? Any explanations as to what might be causing this?

Bump to this, I am also experience the same issues as well with Youtube being slow on WiFi compared to the horrific version on EDGE. I would think this to be a Router issue, but I have yet to test it out by shutting down all other applications that access the router as well as other computers that use the router.

Aperture 1.5 Extremely slow when exporting images

Has anyone else found Aperture 1.5 very slow when exporting versions. It took about 25 minutes to export 9 images (12mp Eos 5D files) as full resolution Jpegs. They had various afjustments applied to them, but the length of time to expot seemed rediculously long. I don't recall this task taking as long in previous versions.
Does anyone know of anything that might be slowing this down? Would turning previews off help - although they had finished processing before I started. Help in this matter wouyld be appreciated

I'm experiencing this same behavior. Exporting is ridiculously slow. Actually editing the image doesn't seem so bad, but I guess it's just doing a preview at this point and not committing the change? Seems odd as I browse back to an image I've changed and the preview is instantly up with all changes applied...
I'm playing with the trial version now, I'd really like to buy it, but the speed is completely unaccaptable on export, or large file operations.
iMac g5 1.8 ghz, ALS, ATI 9600 card. 2 Gig of ram. Nothing else running.
Photoshop is much, much faster, even batching. I realize aperture uses GPU heavily, and my GPU is not up to snuff, but when making changes to an image ... it's not bad! It's a little sluggish at times, but most changes are near real time. It's just exporting and importing that takes far far far too long.
Any possibility of a preference to offload more work to the CPU? Lightroom, Photoshop, etc do just fine, but Apertures library management is something I'd really like to purchase and keep!

AirPort Station 7.2.1 extremely slow when wireless

I have this big problem with my AirPort Station since 3-4 days:
when I start Safari or Firefox and enter an URL it takes like almost 10 seconds untill the site starts to load and it loads very slowly - I live in Germany and have DSL 16.000 which is normally quite fast
At first I thought it could be a provider problem but today I connected my PowerMac with a normal ethernet cable and it worked just fine - the wireless way is still a disaster and and it's quite annoying
I run my AirPort Station with firmware 7.2.1 because after 7.2.2 all the internet connectivity doesn't work for me.
I have an AirPort Extreme card
Firmware 405.1 (3.90.34.0.p18) if this helps

Bridge CS5 is extremely slow when my external drive is connected

I have two drives that are connected pretty much 24/7: A 640GB Firewire drive, and a 320GB USB2 drive that's dedicated to Time Machine. When they're connected, Bridge is impossibly slow. And I mean that. Thumbnails don't generate, I can't "Open in Camera Raw" (it just "stops responding") and it's a mess. If I eject the two drives, restart Bridge, it works like I expect it should.
What's happening, here? Anyone able to reproduce this? Using OSX Lion on a MacBook Pro.

Bridge is a very processor intensive program. Sounds like you are running out of processing power.
Try starting Bridge with just one of the drives. Then do that with the other drive. See if Bridge works OK with each one seperately. Just a processes of elimination to figure out what is going on.
