IOS6 is killing me

After spending all night, and day, today. Trying to fix my iphone and iPad. I can't find a folder in iTunes, which isn't there. So that I can put ringtones in it. My phone nor iPad can hold wifi no longer than 2 mins at a time. Even wouldn't stream Pandora. So I called tech support and tell Mike what my troubles are. Hes puts me on hold briefly. Comes back no problem we can fix this over the phone for Ya. Then he tells me that my warranty was bout up. And told 3 different amounts of money with 3 different warranties. Then he says that Apple considers iTunes , App Store, where we get the most stuff from. That they are 3 parties to Apple and you have to purchase one of the three lovely packages they to offer. So yeah I've got a link o. How to pull io6 and put it back on io5. Anyone Interested speak up. Cause I'm bout to go and do both devices.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

How can i stop iOS6 from killing my iPhone 4s battery?

My apologies...the version is 11.1.4.62 not as stated aboive in my problem description. I'm trying again and it just finished syncing fine and my iPhone 5 is still connected to iTuns physcially with USB lightening cable and is displaying the iPhone icon top right. I clicked on it and iTunes is now "hung' or locked up. Shows to be an active running application but can't get back to it so willl have to kill with task manager. There is some kind of problem going on with the latest version of iTunes and Wndows 7 and 8.1 or something. My iPhone 5 now has a new feature that it is now asking me if I "Trust" this computer. iTunes just came "unhung" after several minutes while I was typing this. Now I am going to start the backup to this computer HP Winsows 8.1 and iTune 11.1.4.62 and see what happens. Says it is Backing up Jerrys iPhone but the Barber Pole progress bar is not turning an iTunes is hung again and I cant get back to it from this page I am typing on. Maybe it will eventually release as it did a moment ago.

I have a Sprint iPhone 4.
After the ios6 updated automatically it ran through it's updating process. Once it finished it prompted me to plug my phone into iTunes. Once plugged in it told me I had to restore my phone to it's factory settings. So I did. Then it said the restoration failed and my phones screen went purple. Now it isn't recognized by iTunes, and wont turn on.
Is there a way to fix this?

Upgrade of iPad to ios6 killed my connection completely

I upgraded my iPad to 6 and now the wifi is completely unresponsive. Apple tells me I chose to upgrade and that's my choice. It worked perfectly, only 2 years old, and now it is a paperweight.
I have tried every suggestion on every forum. Spent the last 3 days non stop. Apple genius tells me to try again. Set back to default and 5.
Can anyone tell me if I truly am out of luck? All.previous posts talk about dropped wifi, but mine scans and just can't find any networks at all. Finally the battery runs out from searching.
Help please. Apple will let me pay $249 for a new one. Very generous when their upgrade killed it.

Does your MacBook Pro connect to the router you are trying to connect the iPad to?
Have you tried going to a site, like McDonalds or Starbucks, that has open wifi to see if you can detect/connect?

Help! iPhone4 update to iOS6 killed my Calendar

When I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6 I not only lost all of my calendar entries, I can no longer access any subscribed calendars AND I'm now unable to create any new entries. It's looking like I'll have to downgrade to iOS5 to once again have a functional calendar! Before I try to downgrade, does anyone know of a fix or workaround?

Since apple is killing off the YouTube app in ios6, will I still have it if I don't upgrade or will they nero it like they did with Siri before the iPhone 4s came out?

I'm not upgrading if I lose it but if they kill it in old versions of its then I hunk a t of people will switch to android or Microsoft phones and tablets.

I don't see why they would. You would still be able to get to YouTube on the web (which alot of people say is better anyway).
In any case, Google is apparently producing a YouTube app which will be available on the App Store.

HT1414 after i upgraded to ios6.1.3 i hardly have service for 1hour in a day and my ipad kep showing no service and this is killing me

i bought my ipad 3 last year and it wasworking fine, the ipad started to have no service problem when i upgraded it. i can't turn off the 3G on my ipad for suere but the ipad only brings one bar of 3G netwok but will bring network where there isno 3g. this is really disturbing and i'm sure it is a software problem because lot of people have the same issue. plaese i just need possible solutions as quick as possible.

In iOS6 hitting "reply to all" in mail, my own adress gets included in the recipients -

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6 yesterday and now whenever I hit "reply all" to an email it includes my email in the CC field. Annoying, of course, because I get a new email, and it also adds me to the list of people in the thread.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour? I can't find a setting that allows me to turn this off. Defect or "feature"?
I would love to get this turned off, it's not killer but it's disrupting my rhythm using the phone for work.

Just to clarify, if I have the email address of [email protected] and [email protected], and I get an email from [email protected] which is sent to [email protected], and has [email protected] in the cc, if I hit "Reply All", the reply email is set up to go to [email protected] with [email protected] and [email protected] in the cc. This is *WITHOUT* having the option to include myself in the cc set. To make it worse, since [email protected] is my default account, this reply (even though it was sent to [email protected]) comes from [email protected]
If I were to just hit "Reply" - and not "Reply All", the reply email will go to [email protected], but will be from [email protected] (again, the default account) - however, I am no longer included in the cc (because, again, I *don't* have the option to include myself in the cc set).
It makes it pretty hard to manage emails...it used to "just work" - but not anymore. Every time I reply, I need to remember to check the "from" field - and every time I reply all, I need to remember to remove myself from the list.
BTW - This is the same behavior as the iOS Mail app as well - and has been since the very beginning.

None I know of. I don't believe that the software development kit would allow someone to write such an app.

Hello with 3Gs and Ios6, i can't use the numeric Keyboard

I have doing the Update Ios6 of my 3 Gs, and i can't use the keyboard numeric.
I can't use the 'Q' with the keybord Qwerty, and i Can't use the 'A' with Azerty.
If i install the Icones Imoji, i can't use the other keyboard.
I can't del a keyboard, in the settings.
And i cant kill the first apply on the left of the screen.
I have doing 3 install of ios6 .
And i can't doing a downgrad.
It's not a prblem of my Screen because i have change him, and we have the problem.
It's a very big problem, i can't use my iphone.

Kill QuickTime running in the background from my iphone app?

Is it possible to send a kill or stop or pause quicktime command from within an iphone app? I would like to add a button to kill music playing in the background from streaming radio in safari/quicktime so user does not have to launch safari to stop the background music. Example: if I have a painting app the user can press a button in the app that will stop the music. Thanks.

If you're talking about closing running apps, they changed it up a bit from iOS6. Now you just double click the home button to bring up the running apps, side scroll to the app you want to close, then just swipe up.

IOS6 Maps bugs

I won't be upgrading my iPhone to iOS6 for a while. I tried the new Maps on my iPad, and since I need good navigation on my phone, I'm sticking with the old one. Two killer issues:
1) There's no longer any traffic support in New Orleans. It does show construction, which is a nice new feature, but the red/yellow/green highway speeds are gone.
2) The search database isn't sufficient. One example, I did a search for "NOCCA", the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, where I'm seeing a play tonight. The pin dropped in Italy. That's a bit farther than I want to drive. Maps5 with the Google data gets it right.

I was thinking of doing something along those lines. Although, I wouldn't want to wait too long for the next maintenance update. Any ideas as to when it'll be realeased?

My iPhone 4S in useless since upgrading to iOS6, any solutions

Since upgrading to iOS6 my iPhone 4S is useless, calls are being disconnected and also the phone is often failing to dial out, is apple going to bring in any solutions? Maybe it's time to start looking to another phone company.

I also am having severe troubles since the upgrade, I posted the following but no one ever responded.

Let me start by saying I have been searching these threads for a week for an already posted answer and tried all suggested remedies with no results.
My specifics,
After a couple days ignoring the pop up to upgrade my iPhone 4CDMA to iOS6, I accidentally clicked to upgrade now button. When it finished my phone shut off, restarted with a time and date of 12/31/1969, searching for carrier signal, no wifi, all 300 contacts gone, along with all notes, reminders and text history. Within a minute, with my jaw hitting the ground my phone once again shut off. Then came on. Kept repeating in this manner.
What I've attempted so far,
The only way I am able to get my phone out of this constant boot loop in order to attempt anything is to plug it to my mophie or wall outlet. It still reboots repeatedly but will remain on for periods lasting up to six or seven minutes before shutting down again. My PC runs on winxp, I first updated to the current version of iTunes before connecting via USB, not a hub, followed the prompts t restore and as soon as the iTunes begins the process my computer crashes. Did this three times. Went to a friends with win7, could not get iTunes to recognize my phone at all. Went to another friends put my device into DFU when iTunes recognized it restore failed cuz my connection doesn't last long enough to complete. I then manually installed the .ipsw and tried it that way thinking it might be faster but it wasn't fast enough. I'm past warranty, I don't have Apple Care, I don't qualify for another upgrade until Nov 24 besides which a new phone doesn't resolve my lost data.
Can anyone help me?

IPhone 4 has ceased sending or receiving texts since iOS6 update. Any ideas?

There seem to be similar threads out there but nothing the same as this problem. Since my upgrade to iOS6 last week, my iPhone 4 has:
a) deleted my text history
b) refused to send texts (it hangs on about 90% delivery in the status bar)
c) delivered me no texts (despite getting friends to send me test sms messages)
I don't care much about (a) above but (b) and (c) are killing me. I've tried restarting the phone, turning off/on iMessage…

So, nearly two months without SMS. Life is different now. Some friends have gone, some have emailed me irate that I don't know they've messaged me…
Seriously – since posting this original problem I have tried:
Using a different SIM card – result was everything was the same other than different service operator. messages still not present and still not sending or receiving through imessage.
Completely reset and reinstalled the system – nothing is changed.
Downloaded a new app called Textie which does seem to work – sort of – but it's buggy. One bug is that the alerts don't work on the home page.
All in all – I really want to get imessage working. Surely some other people have had this problem? I don't understand why Apple doesn't seem to care.
