IOS6 ITunes Glitch

In IOS6, when I try to download a movie in ITunes, it says i must accept new terms and conditions.  When I do, the popup goes away then comes back immediately after.  I am using an IPad 2

Infact, it stores the track you are listening to and thet next one after that.  Does not appear to stream at all.

  • Since ios6, itunes deleted all my songs on my ipod and on my computer!

I have itunes set to organize my library for me. I found that for some reason after ios6 update, when I synced my ipod, all of the music got removed from it. However, at the time, I could still play it on the computer.
When I looked into the itunes folder, I found that when I played a song on my computer, itunes would copy that song from its original location in the itunes>music> (artist name) folder to another folder it created in itunes>(artist name). In other words, it was moving everything out of the music subfolder into the general itunes folder. Everything that it moved would subsequently sync fine to the ipod.
So, thinking I had the solution, I told itunes to consolidate my files in my library. Apprently bad idea. It did copy all of the files from within the music folder out into the general itunes folder, but somewhere in the copy, it must have lost the files, because now most of them are no longer on the computer either. When I go to play them in itunes now, there is an exclamation point. Itunes deleted my music and instead, I have folders with artists name, and a placeholder of sorts where the file is supposed to be with a little x over it (Ihave windows 7, btw). Nor are the files in their original folders in the music subfolder. I never touched any of this music manually. I was trusting itunes to do its thing with keeping my library organized and all.
It did manage to copy about 1000 of them just fine, but all the rest of my music is gone from my computer! I did also restore the ipod, which seemed to sync fine after the restore, but again, because of the now missing music on my computer, obviously those files did not sync. Help. What happenned????

Reset didn't work at first until I unchecked the 'sych only checked songs and videos' in iTunes, clicked apply and then rechecked it and clicked sync and it worked.
    Thanks.

  • ITunes glitch?

I downloaded a new album and the album artwork doesn't match the one on my phone. Its showing up as a different artist. Is this a glitch? Or any way I can get this fixed? I downloaded the new iTunes 11.1.3 and I turned off my phone to turn it on. Nothing seems to work. And I'm trying to find a proper way to get the album artwork to its correct artists. Anyone know a solution or facing a similar problem to this?

    Hi,
Do you mean the album artwork on your iphone does not show the correct artwork that is shown in iTunes?
If this is the case then there's an easy fix. The problem is the database on your iPhone is currupt, just like any other iDevice, god knows when Apple will eventually fix this.
To fix this, install MediaMonkey, connect your device to your computer and then right click on your device in MediaMonkey, and select Rebuild Device Database.
Just make sure in device Options => Device Configuration - Update database on all content change, is selected.

  • Ios6 iTunes Match supprimer un morceau

    Bonjour,
J'utilise iTunes Match.

    Merci d'avance.

  • IOS6 iTunes App Crash

In order to get iOS6 on my iPhone 4, I had to delete some music to have the necessary 2.5 GB for the update. When attempting to recover large music collections (The Beatles Box Set) the app crashes when loading up the list of albums. I've restarted, hard rebooted, and tried on Wi-Fi as well as 3G. I've let the app run until it just crashes out tons of times. A screenshot is below, it doesn't give much help but at least shows you the current step I am stuck on. Any one have any ideas on how to get the music back?

im getting the same error but on windows vista

  • IMac G4 flat panel & iTunes glitch

I just brought my old 2002 iMac Flat Panel back to life. It has a 800MhZ processor with 1GB RAM running OS 10.3.8. I've connected to the internet wirelessly using a USB receiver that picks up an excellent signal(across the room) from my Netgear wireless router. Weird thing is, there isn't any radio reception in iTunes v4.5. I was thrilled to get it back up and running after it died a few years back.(Just had a grey screen with an ominous blinking question mark folder). I just restored it because it's such a classic machine...just plain cool  . I only wanted to run iTunes radio and possibly internet searches. When I click on "Radio" in the iTunes sidebar, there isn't any stations listed. I do have a strong signal all the time, so I'm thinking I'm overlooking a setting. Any thoughts , ideas or answers would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Randy

Here's a update. I've upgraded my OS to 10.3.9 and my iTunes to v7.7.1. Not only can't I get anything to appear in the iTunes radio window, but it's also the iTunes store and Podcasts while I'm in iTunes. My shared Library from my other computer comes through loud and clear. My Internet works fine. Here's the thing...I didn't set up ANY internet settings on this iMac. I simply plugged in a wireless receiver that picks up the signal from the wireless router across the room and ,bam, instant Internet signal. Can somebody help me out?

  • ITunes Glitch? Pop-Up Windows are hidden?

Windows XP Pro - Runs iTunes 7.0.2 just fine - except for the pop up windows in iTunes. A majority of the time a window pops up (are you sure you wish to download this song, or the iPod updates, etc.) the window cycles for just a split second and then disappears. The pop up window is still there, you can't click anything else in iTunes till I close it, I can close it with alt+f4, and when I click anywhere else on the screen it briefly (milliseconds) appears on screen - obviously rendering iTunes features useless, and more importantly ticking me off. I reinstalled iTunes, same problem.
Anyone else even heard of this before? I can't find anything in the forums. I'll take suggestions if you have them - Thanks!

Sounds like some security software is freaking out, because it's not been set up properly for iTunes.

  • Odd iTunes glitch -- always plays the same song, after the song I selected...

After one song plays on iTunes, it always next plays one particular song -- not the next song on the list, but a specific track, every time. I'd like iTunes to simply play the next track down. How can I fix this?... thanks very much --

Do you have the the Repeat feature turned one? It is the arrowed racetrack on the left side of the Now Playing Screen right below the scrubber bar. Tap it until it is white for no repeat.
    Next:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

I open iTunes and it automatically closes on my iphone but on my ipad it opens fully and says cannot connect to iTunes

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • Unable to Sync iTunes Music - iPhone 5 - iOS6 - iTunes 10.7 ...

Cannot sync files from itunes to the iphone it was working well with iphone4s

Do you have iTunes Match turned ON? If so then this is why you are not seeing songs in iTunes. On your iPad turn "Settings > Music > iTunes Match" to ON (as well as turning iCloud ON) and your iPad will be able to access all your music from iCloud. You don't need to sync it.

  • Ever since updating to ios6, itunes constantly crashes - I can't even stay in it long enough to search or purchase anything!

I have an ipod touch (4th generation) & an iPhone 4s, both are acting similarly when attempting to search for music and/or purchase anything. it will do the loading "spinning wheel thing) at the top & if I search a song name, it will start to populate a list of my search results & like 99% of the time it goes black & sends me back to my home screen. If I make it past that & actually get the opportunity to click on the song I want to purchase, I'm never able to get all the way through my purchase before I am booted out! This problem has been plaguing me ever since the update - any ideas on how to make this stop? It is very frustrating as I would actually like to buy music for my pod & I can't manage to get it done!

  • Playing cd's in iTunes. Glitch.

    Hello,
when I insert a cd in my computer, and try to play it with iTunes, it always skips when I either just clicked to play it, selected the next track, or jumped a bit in a song. This is making it pretty much impossible to sit back, relax, and play cd's through iTunes. The only thing that seems to work to play any of those songs is to import them and play them right out of the iTunes library. Does this mean I have to import every single cd i want to listen to?
Anyone have an idea how to solve this, or is this simply an iTunes glitch that we'll have to sit out and hope for it to disappear in future versions?
    867-MHz PowerPC G4, iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

It seems you're right. I just now also tried to play a cd on my laptop, and it didn't have the slight pause.
    Thanks.

  • After adding folders to iTunes library, now have duplicates of each song

I store all my music on a separate drive, M:\
I have a specific file structure setup that has worked for me for years, M:\Artist\Album
I recently received an iPod for my birthday, and started using iTunes. After adding my music drive (M:\) for inclusion into the library (without "keep..." and "copy..." selected, as to keep my current file structure intact), when selecting "File->Display Duplicates" just about every song in the library has a duplicate, one in the original folder "M:\Artist\Album", and another in "M:\Playlists\..\Artist\Album". I understand that basically somehow iTunes glitched and started in the "M:\Playlist" directory when adding to the library at some point, however I am at a loss as to how. In my actual folders I only have 1 copy of each song, so basically iTunes is making a symbolic link to each song and adding it into the library as a separate song.
I have over 9000 (must...resist...meme...) songs in my library, and removing and restoring takes quite a while. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to do this at least once now, but any ideas as to why or advice on how to avoid this particular problem in the future?
I am pretty set in my ways of my current file structure, since I don't use iTunes as my primary media software, so I would prefer to not have to resort to succumbing to just letting iTunes handle everything the way it wants (I pretty much hate that).
Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
EDIT: Is there a way to have iTunes rename/move files when adding to its library to specific folders via custom rules based on ID3 information (i.e. WMP rip settings)?
    Message was edited by: kaziekama

If you have "Keep..." and "Copy..." unchecked, iTunes will simply reference the existing file, and will not change your file structure, as you correctly note.
I'm fairly sure that some other program is operating on your files. The "Playlists" folder that you mention has nothing to do with iTunes. On my PC, only Windows Media and Roxio use it.
To your question +"Is there a way to have iTunes rename/move files when adding to its library to specific folders via custom rules based on ID3 information (i.e. WMP rip settings)?"+ the answer is no. When iTunes rips a CD, it names the files as track number and title, with no option to do differently. And as far as placing the ripped files, they go in Artist/Album, with no option to do differently. As full-featured ripping programs go, iTunes is not even in the race.

  • Problems with ID3 Tags in iTunes - Desperate need of assistance!

    Hello all...
Desperately need some help. I just spent a very (very) long time going through my entire music collection making sure all album art is present and all tags are corrected to my preferences. Now I want to back up the entire drive (F: drive, I keep my music on a separate drive) to a new hard drive (H: drive). However, in the process I've noticed that not all the changes that I made to the tags have actually saved to the tags themselves, even though they continue to display correctly in iTunes. If I load them into another application or reload them into iTunes from the new drive, not all the tag changes I made in iTunes are showing up. It seems iTunes is perhaps storing this tag info in some kind of internal database? To be specific I am not talking about meta-data like ratings and number of times played. I'm talking about artist, genre, etc.
So my question is this: is there some way to force iTunes to save the data that is currently displayed in iTunes to the ID3 tags?
I've also been disappointed to find out that when adding album artwork, iTunes does not actually save the artwork to the ID3 tags as I assumed. Any way I can force iTunes to do that?
Lastly, if neither of the above are possible, is there an easy way to backup the iTunes database so that all my tags and artwork are present once I remove the current drive and re-load my collection into iTunes from the new drive? Will the change of path prevent me from being able to backup the database?

Hi Ed, thanks for responding so quickly. Yes, they are mp3 files, and yes, I had assumed what you told me, that changes made in iTunes would be made to the mp3 files. I also thought it could have something to do with read only, so I made sure that the files were not read only. But yes, strangely enough, even though the tags show up properly in iTunes, they do not show up properly in other players, and don't show up properly in iTunes if I remove the album, copy the album to the second drive, and load it back into iTunes (only for a portion of the files, but with the size of my collection this would still be time consuming to fix). I don't understand it either, but from research I have done online, it may have something to do with an iTunes glitch relating to the ID3 tag version.
Regardless of how it is supposed to work or what the explanation is, the situation now stands that my tags display perfectly in iTunes but are not all saved to the files perfectly. So I am hoping there is some way I can force iTunes to save the current state of tag info to the files!
About the 2 drives, it's simple. Right now my collection is on F:, and loaded into iTunes, but I want to get rid of that drive as it is IDE and too small, and store my collection on H: instead. I'm just really worried that after moving my collection and reloading into iTunes I will need to re-tag and re-load album artwork all over again. Any tips?
