Ios6 problem on iphone 4s...editing apps on screen doesn't work properly. screen goes dark, changes aren't realised.

i hold down the app...passbook, to enable the jiggly apps for editing placement. i drag it to screen 4 and 'drop' it there. i grab the weather channel app and drop it into a folder with like apps. i press the home button to save my changes.the screen goes black like putting to sleep. then it becomes very dim. changes aren't saved...passbook is back on the first screen and the weather channel app is not in the folder i placed it in. clicking the power button to make the phone sleep then another press to wake it up re lights the screen.

If Apple serviced the phone and it still does not work as it should, bring it back to get it serviced again. Repairs done by Apple are also covered by a short warranty period.
And, the latest update for your phone is 8.1.3, not 8.0.2.

I'm using iOS 7.0.2 on iPhone 5S. I recently opened compass app, calibrated it and the compass doesn't move. Restarted, reset, and even restored but doesn't work. But on iPhone 5 (7.0.2) it worked. Next I swiped to level feature it worked, but when I placed it on a straight table it showed "-6" reading, while iPhone 5 showed "0" ( latter is correct ). After that I checked the new dynamic ( bubbles ) wallpaper. When I move iPhone 5S they move but in between they start getting stuck, but on iPhone 5 they worked smoothly. I hope that it's a software issue/glitch and Apple will solve it soon.

I have the exact same issue - I have posted a question only this morning. I am reluctant to do a complete restore on my 5S but turning off on normally works and I can't keep doing that. I noticed though that it only stops working after I've made a call. It works intermittently though. 10 minutes ago it stopped working after I made a call. Just checked it now and it's working again?! My compass appears to be working (it also goes green when level but don't know if this i normal or not as I never use the compass anyway).
Wonder what could be causing it especially on the newer phones?

Mac app store still doesn't work properly

I have followed the other discussions and done the suggested updates or deletes and to no avail.
Unless you tell us exactly what you have tried, we have no way of knowing exactly which updates or deletes? aren't working for you.
Try installing the combo > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed, try the App Store.

Can you get your money back if the app you purchased doesn't work properly?

I recently bought the MobileNoter SE app in order to sync my OneNotes between Playbook, Windows Phone and Laptops.
Once the Playbook was added to the previously fully functioning sync system things started to go wrong, so much so that I've had to re-create a lot of my notebooks.
There are a whole host of flaws and bugs with the app - some people say this is just an Android App which is ported which might account for the bugs if it wasn't fully tested after.
I posted a review which has been taken down - presumably by MobileNoter - without explanation.
I mailed support and they initially sounded like they wanted to help but have since gone silent. I have asked for my money back but more silence.
I wouldn't mind but this app is £20 for which you would expect a fully functional app. This is far from it.
Anyone know what the procedure is now to get a refund. Is there some way Blackberry can help?

Actually, wrong.
The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.

If the touch screen is not having any response then you probably have a hardware failure. Take your phone to an Apple Store or authorised service provider to have it checked.

I too had exact issue what you were experienced, then I went to Apple autorised service center and submitted my earpods, their it worked with all versions of Apple iphones, but it didn't worked on my 3gs. The service technician suggested for OS upgrade.Then I came home and I took the backup and upgraded 5.1 to 6.1 as he suggested, also it didn't worked. I was totally frustated and suddenly I got an idea!. What a funny thing here is, a safety pin resolved my issue, I took out all dust which was there in the jack hole. Then I check my earpods, it was amazing you know..MY EAR PODS WORKED!.

Old app doesn't work properly. update the dps version?

one of my old single edition apps doesn’t work properly. only the vertical format is running, the horizontal format is no longer displayed. is this due to the outdated dps version of the app? can I fix this error somehow? do i have to update/increase the dps version? i can no longer edit this app in the dps app builder. all other apps i can edit. does anyone know how i can fix that problem?

You could download and Install the Combo Update, Restart your computer, check the settings in Desktop & Screen Saver, as well as Energy Saver and see if that helps your issue...

Back button forward button, reloading tab (app tabs too) doesn't work.

i switched my adcdons off and even went to safe mode still back and forward buttons dont work for me. clicking the app button after restarting firefox made the icon (facebook in this case) do nothing. right clicking and making it reload resulted in icon going blank. very frustrating after updating ff to 4 which looks great but doesn't work properly.
also - your troubleshooting info complained just when i tried to submit that the value has at most 30000 characters and mine has 55000 but all i did was copy to clipboard from the help troubleshooting so please make up your mind, do you want the info or not :)

I have created Editable PDF using itext(5.3.0) in java. I have used Adobe Reader XI and Adobe Reader X Pro. But in editable PDF combobox search is not working properly.
It's only search first character.

My (admittedly old and slow) system did this too the first time I opened Reader 11, but it "unfroze" after about fifteen seconds, (an eternity in computing time, I know, but it did eventually open all the way) What you're seeing on the right is the "Tools" panel initializing. That's exactly where mine would freeze up on starting. Once it did finally open fully, I clicked the "Tools" link at the top to close the panel, and I opened and viewed a document that way, then closed reader. Now when I open Reader, the Tools panel doesn't initialize and it opens immediately.
Reboot and before you open anything else, open Reader. When you open it, DO NOT try to do anything with it until it fully opens, don't click anything, don't try to switch to another app. Give it time to open fully, and then click the Tools link to close it. Then, open and view a document, and close it. Close Reader and reopen it. the Tools panel should remain closed and Reader should open fully immediately.

Do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the device to boot back up.
No data is loss doing a reset.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps, like resetting you iPhone, for example? Or restoring it?
If not by all means do so because your problem could be caused by software glitches that could be solved resetting or restoring.
Warranty is for one year from date of purchase and two years if you bought Apple Care at the time of purchase. If your iPhone has a hardware issue within warranty, it would be replaced by Apple. If it is already out of warranty, you might be eligible for an out of warranty replacement where you pay a much lower amount but this varies according to the country and currency, so it is better to check with Apple or with an authorized reseller.
