Ios7.0.2 Caused ipod touch to brick. In the process of a full restore.
BE CAREFUL - iOS7.0.2 caused the device to completely lock up. Taking hours to restore all data. NOT FUN!!
I update three devices to iOS 7.1.2 with no problems

After charing/connected to a charging source for at least four hours, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore.

APPLE resolve the issues that IOS4 causes iPod touch owners ASAP !
I remember there was a time we would say thank god at least there is one provider whose OS updates is not crap. Well guess what ? Apple proved they can ruin customers Ipod touches by bringing out the IOS 4.
Oh now don't get offensive that your iPod is ok and blah blah. Go read fourms filled with angry customers .
Now, Apple should sort this problems out ASAP !
What issues I have experienced ? Here is the list :
- High reduction in WiFi performance and connectivity
- Extreme reduction of battery life
- Huge amount of memory usage resulting in slow response and frequent crash of applications
Before the upgrade I never had any problems with my IPod touch and I am a geek so dont come and tell me : Have you cleared your Safari cache ?? and stuff like that !!
What else has left for us to enjoy from iPod ?

But the reduction of battery life could be that you leave a bunch of apps running in the background with the multitasking feature, so when a bunch of different apps run at the same time all the time it could really drain your battery.
If you've ever gone to AppStore and updated your apps you can see below the title of an app it says the version number. Now that iOS 4.0 has been released the creators of the apps make updates to their apps so that they will be compaitable with iOS 4.0. When you update an app now you might see at the version number that it says iOS 4.0 in paranthesis. -
The screen on my Ipod touch came away from the back.
The screen on my ipod touch came away from the back and then stuck back down a couple of days later. The battery seems to be weak now but everything else is OK. What could have caused this? Over chargibg in the car cradle?, Heat? Being held too tightly in the cradle?, Getting water inside?
Has this happend to any of you.
DanIf you have successfully restored the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Brand new iPod touch restarts itself all the time
Hello, my dad just came home from Japan, with a brand new iPod touch.
I managed to register it in iTunes, but when i updated the firmware i got an error message. I tried again and i think that i succeed. Then i started to sync music and the rest of the stuff. The syncing stopped after a minute, and when i tried to navigate on my iPod i realised that the touch screen didn't respond. So after several attempts, i made a hard reset.
But now, the iPod touch restarts itself. The Apple logo comes up, and then the screen turns off in a dramatical way, and then the Apple logo comes up again. If i hard reset my device again, the process continous.
I sometimes the iPod shows the "charge battery" screen, and then I can charge the battery. BUT after 5 minutes, the iPod touch starts restarting itself again. :S
Does anyone have a solution to this? Extremely strange.I suspect you have a hardware problem. Probably a non-functioning battery (over or under) and causing a hardware reset. Bring it to an Apple Store for replacement.

i was on a trip and one of my hair products got on my ipod touch everything works but the front camera can i fix the front camera?
Did the iPod get wet by the hair product and probably cause a problem due to the liquid or is there some thing on the front camera lens that prevents the camera from seeing? How does the camera not work?
If liquid damage I doubt YOU can fix it but you can have Apple fix it or a third-party place. If lens is obstructed you may be able to polish the area.

Unless the damage was cause by abuse or accidental damage App will replace an Apple charger at no cost. The warranty only covers defects in the device.

Anything is possible but I am not aware of it happening. What is possible is to get an infected item on the iPod where it will cause no problem and then transfer it to a PC where it could cause a problem.

Transfered my music & video library from my laptop to my PC. Syncing my ipod classic and my ipad without incident to the PC. But when I try to sync my ipod touch, the only thing that will sync is music that I have purchased on that PC. Any ideas?
where on my computer am I suppose to make the individual picture files and have them to upload on my ipod touch.... I do have a photo library on my computer, but in the photo tab in itunes for the ipod touch and there is nothing checked for syncing, cause when I do check it it always says its going to replace everything i have in my photo library on my ipod touch..... So how am i suppose to have it checked and have it NOT replace pictures on it????
Also I cannot make more photo albums into my ipod touch, it just replaces the one album every time....
I am very frustrated cause I have tried the manuals and the apple support help etc and nothing pertains to my exact issue.....
