IOS7 Bar pops up on bottom of screen while swiping

After installing IOS7, Every time I swipe up from the bottom to scroll websites a 1.5 inch bar pops up with some functions. This is driving me crazy! How do I remove this bar permanently? Thx.

When Premiere is acting weird, restart computer, open Premiere while holding down shift+alt until welcome screen.
Then clean out media cache.
See if the will resolve the issue.

I have a bar popping up at bottom of page called topic torch what is it and how do I get rid of it?

2"-ish bar of colors at bottom of screen.

I have a MacBook Pro 17". Yesterday I turned it on and there was this craziness going on on the bottom of the screen. There is a bar of colors that is about 2" tall across the whole bottom of my screen. Sometimes it goes away, like at certain angles. Other times it's white, or just blurry. I don't know what's going on, but it can't be good. Anybody have any ideas about what I should do?

I had the exact same problem except its on the left side of the screen and its just purple (like with you're own, sometimes it fades away and the screen is all normal). 2 weeks ago I had it fixed by an apple certified technician at the campus repair shop. Problem now is that something is triggering the backlight on the monitor to permanently shut off and parts after parts, the guy just can't seem to fix. Today he told me that if he can't fix it in the next couple days, he's gonna stop trying and I'm gonna have to convince apple to replace it. So I'm super cheesed off now since the laptop is worse off then it was before and he kept saying that apple will "hopefully" fix it like its no guarantee (even though its still under warrenty). I don't want to be stuck with a $2,200 paperweight so I was wondering if anyone had to get there macbook pro replaced and if so, was it much of a hassle?

How do I get Javascript to work? It is enabled in options but nothing happens when I select something that begins "javascript" on the status bar at the bottom of screen.

When I tried to download a file from the Canon U.S.A, I clicked on the "I agree - begin download" button and nothing happened. The information in the status bar at bottom of screen, when the mouse cursor is over the download button is "javascript:downloadFile()". I got following from the error console -

There were also many warnings about parsing of commands.
This sort of thing seems to happens whenever whenever javascript is involved.

I checked out the "Unable to download or save files" section. The only thing that seemed applicable was the "Reset download actions" section. I renamed the mimeTypes.rdf file to mimeTypes.rdf.old but it didn't seem to have any effect on downloading the file I wanted. There was still no response when I asked for the download.
I have noticed another problem that occurs when I try to download this file. I exit Firefox, then try to restart it. But nothing happens. I have discovered that in the Task Manager that the Firefox process is still running. When I end the Firefox process in the Task Manager, I am then able to restart Firefox.
By the way, I am able to download the file using Internet Explorer without difficulty.

The Retrospect you used way back when is no longer around. The company was sold and that company produced a new version of Retrospect - Retrospect 8.x
So, as you've been told, you would have to be running a Tiger system with an old version of Retrospect software (5.x or 6.x - you would need to know) assuming you can find the software.
As best I can remember you cannot extract files from a Retrospect backup except using the software since Retrospect did not normally make a file by file backup rather it created an archive of the files in the backup. I'm assuming that the EMC/Retrospect people have told you that old Retrospect backups are not accessible by Retrospect 8.x?

I clicked or tapped something on my doc, now a 1 inch horizontal bar runs along bottom of screen showing desktop

I have no clue what that means! Lol.... Sorry. I did remove "dock from view", I have restarted the computer. I forgot how to take a screen snapshot, but again, just a horizontal bar along bottom, showing desktop. Dock, if visible sits on top of it, if I go to "full screen" bottom showing desktop disappears.
Again, when I tapped with two fingers, or right clicked or tapped with one finger....cannot replicate it, it just appeared pushing whatever window I have open up an inch and showing my desktop.

Hello and thanks for the help. My address bar, toolbar and system tray was missing. I felt very lost without them! Pressing F11 brought them back, but every time I switch to a new page, the system tray disappears again. In the View menu, all the available toolbars are checked but I still keep loosing the system tray every time I move to a new page. H-E-L-P!

I am using Flash Player with ie in Win7. It is very irritating while watching YouTube videos for the status/control lbar to keep auto-hiding. When the bar auto-hides, the pause/play position becomes the progress bar position - and a click where Pause used to be resets the video to start. How can I keep the bottom control bar from auto-hiding in full screen mode?

There's nothing you can do to Flash Player, itself, to prevent this from happening. Apparently, there's no way to disable via youtube, or google, either -- http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/_E5yFvNJCPk
You SHOULD be able to call up the bar by hovering the cursor at the bottom of the screen and then, after a a second or two, click on the pause button. (It shouldn't restart the video in other words.) But, if for whatever reason, this doesn't work, just click once in the center of the screen to pause the video. To restart, click the center of the screen again.

Thanks for that. I just realised that that is the way you have to close down all of your open apps. The way I got out of the recording memo was to tap the top of the screen and then I could cancel the recording.

Hi, my Hotmail and icloud mailboxes have disappeared underneath the menu bar. If I drag the screen down I can see them but they pop back up wheb I try to click on them. How do I fix this?

Well, in the end I contacted Apple and it was rather hit and miss but the problem was solved by deleteing the com.apple.mail.savedState file. It took them a bit of time to sort it out and I had to be promoted up the chain of support but it worked. Hope this is of use to others with the same problem,
