Ios7 Bluetooth issues with Nike Fuelband

I'm an avid user of Nike's fuelband and I'm having connecting to my iPhone 5 running ios via Bluetooth . I can connect the devices but after a few minutes the connection is lost . This is driving me crazy. Before ios 7, I've never had this issue!!  I've downloaded all available product updates but the issue persists .Any solutions ??

I am here with the same problems.I have a pioneer avic in dash dvd/nav unit i love it.My unit has a i phone plug so i could pull music videos and apps on it this no longer works becasue of the new port on the 5 so i figured i would use bluethooth to stream. It doent show data like my 4s did and sometimes the music will play other times it will not.Now it will start to play go about 30 seconds and stop, then just make loud poping sounds from time to time.I used my i phone 4 and it still works perfect. Is there a soultion for this problem? i payed over 1 grand for my car unit and i love it,so this is a major problem for me.

  • IPhone 6 BlueTooth issues with iOS8

    Ok here is my findings:
Tried 2 iPhone 5 units before iOS8 and no issues with Bluetooth (1 I had for 2 years and no issues in my car). Once updating to iOS8 the bluetooth didn't work well at all for phone calls but music connects fine. Strange issues with the unit automatically start dialling but not able to cancel call until you disconnected bluetooth.
Also incoming calls ring but unable to answer and seem to lock up so you have to disconnect bluetooth to hang up.
I tried everything listed in the forums here and what the Apple reps told me. It works for a short while until the phone gets turned off or synced with iTunes. Now I have a new iPhone 6 with iOS 8 and it worked initially before I started setting things up.
I did not restore from a back up, I started as a new phone. Once I installed all my apps (Not in iTunes, rather manually over the air) and changed settings on the phone (not sure if it because of changing settings or turning the phone off) it would not connect to bluetooth in my car anymore, well it does just for music. I have tried my wife's iPhone 5c and it seems to work fine with my bluetooth so it definitely has nothing to do with my vehicle.
Apple there is a definite issue here. Stop telling me and other people to contact my car manufacturer to fix the issue. It all worked fine before iOS 8. Something needs to be done ASAP or I will be returning my phone and jumping ship to an Android or Windows phone as much as that may pain me. I have been a loyal Apple customer for the last 7 years. If this is how you are going to treat me and other loyal customers, you will not keep us for long.
I am hoping someone from Apple is reading this. If so I am expecting to be contacted. We expect a resolution fast!

I had same Bluetooth issues with iOS 8 on my iPhone 6; no phone/no music streaming although showing as "connected" with my 2 vehicles (VW and Audi).
Apple telephone technical support team solved issue with both cars as follows:
    1. Delete the phone from handsfree memory in the Bluetooth car settings.
    2. "Forget" the handsfree device (car) in the iPhone Bluetooth settings.
    3. Reset ALL settings in iPhone (not just network settings)!!
(note: I had to reset ALL settings twice in a row for this to work.)
It worked in both cars! (Hope it stays working.....?)
You will have to reset wallpaper, and most other settings, as well.  Certainly worth the trouble to get car Bluetooth up and running properly.
    Good luck.

  • Bluetooth issues with car with iOS 8.0.2 and iPhone 5

I am still experiencing issues with connection my phone to my brand new car, after updating to iOS8, and now iOS 8.0.2.
I can connect to the bluetooth, but this gives me a phantom call, my car keeps telling me that an incoming call is inbound. I cannot receive or make any phonecalls, I have only access to my contacts list.
I have tried to remove my car on my devices list, changed the name of the phone, changed the password. Did a reset of the phone.
Deleted all network connections on the phone, and reset the phone completely. And also restarted my car.
    Still the same issues.
I did not have any issues with iOS7. And my car is a brand new Mazda 3 2014, with the latest firmware to the car. So i know for sure this is the iOS 8's fault.

after avoiding the hassle with the troubled IOS 8, IOS 8.0.1, i upgraded to 8.0.2. which I believed to be bugless, the iPhone 5 didn't function in my car (2014 model) anymore. It had worked flawless with IOS 7....
I'f got phantom calls, freezing the cars display and blocking the radio, in the second the bluetooth connection to the phone is established.
incoming calls go to the phone and at the cars system is nothing to hear.
Active calls from the car remain silent, even on the car display it looks like there is a connection, only the music is switched off.
Hopefully Apple staff is reading here and will change this situation soon.
Why is the possibility to officially downgrade to IOS 7.1.2 canceled by Apple ??
Is there still an unofficial possibility to downgrade a non-jailbreaked iPhone?
    In the older iTunes backup?

  • IOS 8.1.2 bluetooth issue with Subarus

Apple... When are you going to fix this? I have been waiting months for a fix. As soon as I updated my iPhone 5c to iOS 8, the bluetooth connectivity with my 2011 Subaru Outback ceased to function. The many updates (now using iOS 8.1.2) have failed to fix the issue. This is a problem because I used the bluetooth system for my hands free phone use and I'm in my car for hours a day. Even the Subaru website now lists iOS 8 as incompatible with certain audio systems. The nice folks in your Apple Stores have been woefully incapable of addressing this issue except to tell me, after I stood my ground and argued that it was not Subaru's issue, that I get a new memory chip and use my old iPhone 4s, for which the iOS had not been updated to 8. This is a complete mess on Apple's part and I can't imagine that it would have occurred on Jobs' watch!

Thanks for the question, and congratulations on your new iPhone 6! It is my understanding that you are experiencing issues using a third-party bluetooth device with your iPhone - The following resources should help troubleshoot any issues you are experiencing:

  • 8.1 did not fix Bluetooth issue with iPhone 5 and car

8.1 didn't fix my issue with Bluetooth. I can receive calls and play music thru my Mazda CX-9 but I cannot make outgoing calls. My daughter has same issue with her iPhone 5 in her car so it has to be glitch with Apple yet. Please help. I'm so totally frustrated and I'm not eligible for iPhone 6 until January.

I found there is another contact group list as part of the Bluetooth sync menu; altering that took care of the issue.
    This is a non-issue.

  • Bluetooth issues with iPhone 5

Is anyone experiencing connection issues since updating?  Since updating iPhone 4 w/iOS 6 I've been experiencing Bluetooth connectivity with VW Jetta 2012. Now I have the iPhone 5 & it's still an issue. Which leads me to believe its the iOS 6 update. It works and then it doesn't. Very frustrating. And in most cases it connects but allows no controls using car stereo as before. All you see is "Bluetooth audio" on car stereo dash.

My Harman Kardon BT Headphones keep cutting out intermittently.  I found that the music would stop streaming to the headphone but it would continue playing on the phone.  To get the music back I had to keep pressing the play button on both my iphone and headphone and it would eventually come back.  Is it an issue with the 5 or is it my new headphones?
Had issues too. RESET my Jawbone Icon per online PDF and removed from iPhone and re paired no problem now.

  • Bluetooth Issue with Droid Razr Maxx

I have had my Razr Maxx for about 3 weeks. From the jump I have had problems playing music thru several bluetooth devices. It will play fine for a few minutes, then music will start stuttering(dropping in and out) and continue to do so. Music plays fine when playing thru the phone speaker or wired headphones, but fails when using bluetooth.  I called in, and they sent me another phone, and the same problem is occurring with the new one. I'm figuring its a software issue, bc I had no problems with my Droid X. Is anyone else having this problem?? I probably listen to music just as much as I talk on the phone and this is def. frustrating.

  • Bluetooth issues with the new iOS or the iPhone 5?

The Bluetooth I use in my car used to pair and connect automatically.  After upgrading my OS and from the 4 to the 5 everytime I attempt to use my bluetooth it says out of range.  I need to "Forget this Device" and re-pair it.  Has anyone else had this issue?  Would it be with the OS software or the new phone?

Nope.......Apple has created new software. Now other developers need to rise to the challenge of updating their software. With my car I had trouble with weird stuff. I called the dealer and come to find out there was an update. So my question to the dealer was how are you notifying the customers. They were letting customers contact them. Which I think is wrong, but seriously this is relatively new to dealerships. My guess is it will be different in the future, but when?
Think about apps......some apps won't run or run as well with the new OS. Those developers have to update the apps to work with OS8. It's the same thing.
Like I said, mine didn't initially work, but I deleted it and rediscovered it and it's good. Now, in a couple of years? Who knows.

  • Apple's iOS7 causes issues with LightSpeed's webfilter login

We discovered today after updating some of our school iPads to iOS7 that it breaks the login page with our Lightspeed web-filtering service. The symptoms are: whatever page you authenticate to the filter from, you will not be able to access that page again once you're authenticated. You can access any other allowed website except for the one you authenticated on. It just gives a blue page/screen when you try and access it again. For example, the first site I try to go to is Google.com and I get the prompt to log into the web-filter. After logging in, I can visit any other allowed site except Google.com. This is the same no matter what website you first authenticate to. We downloaded Google Chrome to see if it had the same affect in a different web-browser and it works fine using Chrome. Also, after you authenticate into Lightspeed, if you go into the Safari settings and clear the cache files, its works properly. So it’s something to do with Safari and the way its caching the page you authenticate to. Has anyone else who uses Lightspeed's web-filtering seen this yet?
    Thanks

We have the exact same issue in our district.  We use Lightspeed'd web filter, and every single iOS 7 device I've seen has the same problem.  I believe what is happening is that when you browse to, say, Google, and Lightspeed redirects you to its login page, Safari thinks the login page *is* Google, and it caches that.  So, when you log in and hit "Browse the web", Lightspeed redirects you to Google, and Safari's cache kicks in and says "I have Google cached, here you go" and serves up what it *thinks* is Google, but is really the Lightspeed login page.  It has been frustrating many of our users to no end, and I've completely lost track of how many times I've had to explain it.
While clearing the Safari cache after logging in to Lightspeed will fix the problem, it's a pain, so here's what I advise my users to do:
    1) Use a different browser, such as Chrome.  That's what I did on my iPad.
    OR
    2) The first time they want to get on the internet, open up a site that they're *not* trying to go to, like maybe msn.com (who uses THAT anymore, right?  Haha).  When they get the login page, log in, and then when it comes back, then go to where they really wanted to go to, and it should work fine.
I hope Apple comes up with a fix.  But of course, they'll say it's not their issue, despite the fact that it worked fine in iOS 6 and works fine with other browsers in iOS 7.

  • Bluetooth issues with IOS 5.0 and Volkswagen

Ever since 5.0 came out my VW bluetooth connects ok in the car however when you leave the car ,the volume on the ringer stays at two bars and is almost inaudible. There are also playback issues at times of music when connected to VW bluetooth in that the volume stays at zero volume and i have to turn it up to hear the music. The ringer volume problem is the most annoying as it causes me to miss calls. Is anyone working on this?

Great news everyone!!!  I installed iOS 5.1 beta on my iPhone 4 and the volume Bluetooth problem is gone!!!
For most unless you are in the Apple iOS developer program you won't be able to install it yet but once it's released the problem should be fixed.
Something to note..  I did have to turn the volume up once after it connected to my 2012 VW GTI.  Since then it has stayed where I put it and I couldn't be happier.
Not happy with how long it took to get resolved but nonetheless happy it is resolved.  Let just hope it stays resolved when it goes public.

  • Z30 Bluetooth issue with car handsfree since update to 10.3.1.1784

    Hi,
I am having a lot of problems getting my Z30 to work properly with my car's bluetooth system (BMW E46 - built 03/2004) since upgrading to this OS version. The Bluetooth system is factory installed (not 3rd party). I had a read through these forums and found some people who also had B/T issues in their vehicles, but I couldn't see what the fixes were (if one exists, feel free to point me in the right direction or send me the URL). The interesting thing is that my phone WAS working just fine until I updated to this OS version - now I cannot see my phone's Address Book on the in-car screen anymore (when I select "DIRECTORY" or "SPEED DIAL", it just displays a message "PLEASE WAIT" and does nothing).I also have issues making calls (the car isn't able to make the phone dial out). It gives the indication that it is, but when I look at the phone itself, the screen shows no activity. I have tried to Unpair and re-Pair, but no difference in behaviour. The pairing process itself works fine, and the phone asks me whether to share my contacts, etc with the in-car Bluetooth system - but even if I select "YES", it doesn't make a difference. Anyone know a fix? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just wondering if anyone from Blackberry is monitoring these forums, as my problem still hasn't been resolved. I recently checked for a software update (hoping there would be one available), but my device tells me that I have the latest software.

  • Bluetooth issue with iPad and mountain lion

My iPad will pair with my iMac, but it will not connect - since I installed Mountain Lion.  It will pair AND connect with Snow Lion.  Is this a 'new' OS 10.8 issue?

  • Anyone having Bluetooth issues with mouse and keyboard with mountain lion?

Installed mountain lion yesterday and since the restart my bluetooth on my computer is not working properly and it says "bluetooth not available" Any ideas or suggestions on a fix.  I have already tried re installing mountian lion with no luck.

Did you try these steps? They worked for me and a couple other people:
1 - Turn on automatic login: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Click the lock to make changes > If Disable automatic login is checked, uncheck it > Pick your user account and password > Ok.
2 - Shut down your computer.
3 - Turn off your keyboard and mouse: For keyboard and wireless trackpad you hold the power button until the light goes off.
    4 - Start your computer.
5 - Once your desktop has fully loaded turn the keyboard and mouse back on, everything should work.
