IOS7 Calendar layout

I really really (did I mention really) miss the old layout of the previous iOS calendar that allow you to see a list of appointments under the full month.  The only way I can see the list now is to attempt a search.  I agree the calendar is prettier than before but for my purposes you've made it less efficient and funcational.  I hope they can address the issue and allow us to choose between preferred views ala outlook.

Take a look at Week Cal. It still has that view. It also has much better repeat options than the built in calendar.
Best of luck.

  • How to create a calendar layout in jdev 12c?

    In jdev  12c,
When drag and drop a data control into jsf page, in the popup menu->Create, there is no Create a calendar choice.
How to create a calendar layout in jdev 12c?
    Thanks.

    Timo,
From a  reference doc of previous version of jdev/adf, it said :
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/cn/java/calendar-091799.html
Expand the Data Controls accordion and drag the collection that represents the view object for the activity created above (FodCalEventVO) and drop it as a Calendar.
But in Jdev 12c.--cannot find the Create Calendar choice.
In jdev 12c can drag and drop a calendar component from the component palette, but do not now how to bind it to view objects.
    Thanks.

  • IPhoto Calendar Layout does not match preview

When I am selecting a Calendar layout to use, the chose of layout I have for 3 photos and 6 photos does not match what actually shows on the screen. When I go to select my layout, the choices are to have a big photo on top and a two little ones on the bottom. The main choice of this is whether to have text on the bottom or nothing. However, when I select it shows one big photo on the left and two little photos on the left. For the six photo the choice is to have a big photo along the bottom, a medium photo in the top left quadrant, and 4 small photos in the upper right quadrant. However, after I make my selection it shows one big tall photo on the left, one medium photo in the bottom right quadrant and then 4 small photos in the upper right quadrant. The layouts I want are what is displays on the layouts button.
Does anyone have this same problem>

Some layouts in books and calendars change based on what photos you place - and the order you place them - some do not change -- for calendars you just have to experiment - for books Liz Castro has documented how they work for you - http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/pmwiki.php?n=Main.HomePage

  • HT1692 iOS7 Calendar freezing when attempting to accept/decline/maybe a meeting request from Microsoft Outlook Exchange... (iPhone 5s)

My iOS7 calendar on my iPhone 5s continually freezes when I attempt to accept/decline/maybe (respond in general) to any invitations that come through to the device... The main ones I get (so the ones I am experiencing the issue with) are from Microsoft Outlook Exchange Account (also synced through Mail app).
I have attempted to go via the emails I receive with the invitation and the device freezes when attempting to action the request through the Mail app also.
I'm hard reset the phone, I've removed and re-established the account in the phone, but nothing fixes the issue. It might work for one or two invitations, but it will start freezing again without a pattern...
This is a real pain, because these meeting requests etc are for work meetings and interviews!
    Thanks guys!
    <Edited by Host>

We are seeing a similuar issue here at work on serveral devices.
Using Lotus Notes for mail and calendar
    iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S
    Running iOS 7
When an email comes in for a meeting invite if you click on the Date and Time in blue it will walk you through opening the invite in your calendar and then I can Accept/Decline without issue.  If you click on the Invitation icon, which seems to be what users intuitively, in the the email then it freezes up the mail app., see image below.

  • Populate a calendar layout with BC Webapps

How would I go about populating a calendar view with web app items? I am not sure how something like this would be built as it seems like a semi-complex layout.
Would I use a third party app that has the calendar layout and functionality already built in? If this is the case, how would I read in the web app items as a lot of the third party javascript calendars use JSON to read in dates and html.
    Thanks for any feedback.

I did and my initial logic was based upon them. I don't see where it shows how to manipulate the data before writing it to the file layout fields. Maybe you can send me a link to that section?
I was hoping that I would be able to reference the file layout fields directly to allow for manipulating the field values. Re-reading the file layout section and the application engine PeopleBooks I believe I need to create a temporary record which matches the file layout fields; i.e., the second alternative that I listed. Then, make my updates to the temp record fields as I load them. Then, load them to the file layout as a row.
I'm not sure how this would break down in Application Engine; would the insert into the temp table and the writerecord be different steps/actions, etc.

  • Is there a way to go back to the old calendar system rather than the one currently in ios7?  The ios7 calendar is cumbersome and not user friendly.

Is there a way to go back to the old calendar system rather than the ios7 calendar?  The ios7 calendar in the iphone does not allow one to see the exact time of appointments in the month mode, it is not user friendly.  It's lost its flexibility.  How can I go back to the old operating system?

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums.

  • IOS7 Calendar Rubbish layout

Is it just me?  The new ongoing layout with gaps is horrible and confusing. Have just tried to year plan and it is a mess!  Events that span over into the next month have big gaps making it look like two separate events. Also having to select the start  and finish dates manually is fiddly and open to error.  Come on Apple, new (or old) layout please!  Actually can't believe the worst calendar design ever is Apple's!

You can comment to Apple here, if you wish:

  • IOS7 calendar crashes for dates before 1904

    Hello
I updated my iphone 4S to iOS7 (then 7.0.2) and noticed a strange bug with the new Calendar app.
    1. Open your calendar, go to the "year" view and scroll up to year 1905 (if you repeatedly scroll up, that should take just a second)
    2. Notice that before the year 1905, the calendar data will be erroneous:
Year numbers don't appear anymore in the view
In 1903 and before, years don't have a month of December
Any attempt to display details of a month will crash the app
I just tested that with my wife's newly purchased 5c and the problem seems to be identical.
Is anybody else experiencing this? Can we notify Apple in any way?
    Alex

I think it actually has other implications in other applications. For instance, in iTunes. Any movie with Release Date on or before 31 Dec 1903, such as Meliès "A Trip to the Moon" or Edwin Porter's "The Great Train Robbery" has a corrupted release date in iTunes. If I type in 1903-12-31, then the release date says 40-02-05.
If I type in 1904-01-01, then I get a BLANK in the release date column. But if I type in 1904-01-02, only at that date do I get the proper release date 04-01-02 displayed. And all subsequent release dates.
    Anything before 1904-01-02 is INCORRECT.
    Any thoughts? Suggestions?
    Glenn

  • Ios7 calendar alerts not working.

I have an iphone 5s and my brother has an iphone 5. both have IOS7.  The calendar alerts are not working.  We both set events and the events show just fine.  It even syncs to iCloud and shows up on my iMac etc.  But the iphone does not alert.  I always set a 2 hour followed by a 1 hour alert for my appointments.  While the alert shows on my imac, nothing shows up on the iphone.  I checked to make sure that the iphone seeting for calendar allow notifications and everything is setup ok.
    Anyone have this issue?

    Hi Ell1,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are not receiving your shared calendar notifications. Please read over the steps in the attached article to help resolve the issue.

  • How can I get a 7 photo calendar layout like the last 5 years?

Can I get the 7 Photo layout calendar like I used too?

I don't know which theme you used during the last 5 years.
The "Picture" calendar theme has several templates for 7-photos pages.  (in iPhoto 9.6)

  • Ios7 & calendar feeds between devices, etc.

Ok....prior to the update everything fine on my Ipad, Iphone, icloud.com, ical on my mac.........update to ios7 and the calendar feeds I have subscribed to won't update on the iphone or ipad, don't even show up on icloud.com etc....  What has happened?

    Hey, Apple!
Same problem as described above.  My calendars sync fine from my MBP to iPhone & iCloud & iMac. My iMac syncs fine with iCloud & MBP, but my iMac syncs, which appear immediately on iCloud.com, do not load to my phone or iPad, for that matter.
So, I turned off Calendars under iCloud, no luck.  But then I did a hard restart of my phone, after resetting iCloud calendars by turning them off, & then, my iMac changes loaded to my phone.
Now, I'm just saying that I pay a premium for every Apple product I own, & I've owned Apple since a Mac Classic in 1990, all the way back to 1986 when I worked with a IIe at the office, if you want to count that.  I willingly pay that premium for the hardware, and willingly pay the premium for the services like iCloud & iTunes Match, but the sync services have, from all the way back to iTools, when they were free AND worked, have since been sketchy at best.
Although not immediately revelent here, I have the same sync issues to Apple TV with iTunes Match, where new playlists do not show up for quite some time.
I purchase Apple products & pay for Apple's services and software ONLY because the integrated hardware & software model has worked for me, in the past, but I now work in an environment where my schedule is important, where people rely upon me to get information right.  And this isn't working for me right now.
Apple, .Mac just didn't work.  Me.com didn't really work.  And now iCloud? Sorta, but sorta isn't really good enough.
Let's get with the program.  People don't buy Apple to figure out workarounds.

  • Fit photo to calendar layout?

Attempting to fit a photo in its full length to a page on my apple calender - in the past there has been an option to 'fit to page' but this seems to have gone - any ideas on how to now get picture to fit in full to a page?

    What is your iPhoto version?
In iPhoto 9.5.1 the option is in the contextual menu:
View the calendar page in "Layout" mode, ctrl-click or right-click the photo, then select "Fit photo to frame size".
I tested this with the "Photos" calendar theme.
    Regards

  • Calendar Layout question

Is there anyway to modify the set layouts offered on the calendar. I want a page with 3 pics. However, the auto-orientation messes up the shot (makes the large picture default to landscape mode). However, if the 6 pic shot, it defaults to the portrait mode. So basically, I want it to look like the 6 pic orientation, but only have 3 pics! Any thoughts??

There's no way for a user to modify the layouts. You can select the one photo layout and then create a canvas in a 3rd party image editor that supports layers (like Photoshop Elements) and create your own layout and use it.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Iphoto calendar layout issue

Hello. Does anyone know how to change the front cover layout in iPhoto calendar?  It won't let me change from a portrait photo to a full cover image.  When I click layout options, the only option I'm given is to change the background colour.  Many thanks.

What version of iPhoto are you using and what calendar theme?
