IOS7 change calendar event color

I know how to change the color of the calendar in IOS7, but the calendar EVENTS always show in pale grey - which is often difficult to view. How can I change the color of the calendar EVENT 'dot' when looking at a whole month on the iphone screen?

The different colors correspond to different calenders. Two common calenders are Home and Work. You can't create a new type on the iPod, you need to do that on a computer on on the web. One you have more than one calender you can add events to the calenders on the iPod.

Hi,
Just spent too much time trying to figure this out, but how can I change events colors in my calendar?
I'm not talking about the color of a calendar, this affects all events, but event per event.
And I don't want to set multiple calendars.
One calendar, different events with different colors...
Please don't tell me that such a basic feature is not available when it is in bad amateur freewares...

Why are calendar event colors being changed?

Something (and it appears to be iCloud related) changed calendar colors on my calendars (not on shared calendars from other accounts). Ideas? I've seen this before. I cannot remember how it got resolved. I updated one of my Macs to the "new" 10.8.5.

Changing calendar event

Each time I change the calendar event and save it, the new "follows" the event i was changing therefore i always have to go back to the original date to be able to change more appointmantes. for example: 3/1/10 "sign closing papers", I open the event, change the date to 3/15/10 and save it and once i save it now my screen view is on the 3/15 date and not the 3/1 date. my previous BB did not do that. called many times and have not being able to find a fix on the option to choose to make that change. anyone? thank you.

wipe your handheld and backup your device but use advange backup. Backup only your important information like addressbook or messages, dont save every databases. you cant find this answer and lost time . wipe is solved everythings and dont use full backup, use advange backup

Changing calendar event to different calendar

Hi all,
As far as I can see, there's no way to do this, but I thought I'd ask here before giving up. Can I change an event from one calendar to another directly on the iPod touch? I see I can select which calendar when creating a new event, but why not when editing an existing one?

I have found a huge bug in iCal that the Genius Bar people were stumped. After a few months I was no longer able to access my ToDo's. Every time I would open up the ToDo list the screen would freeze. The application was still running and I could shut it down but nothing I clicked on worked or worked irratically. I am never able to view my ToDo's. The Genius people tried to fix it and could not. They suggested that I reload the operating system from my original disk. I did so, then updated OS X to the current version, no luck, same problem.
I am stumped and I don't think the Genius' will be able to help me any more, maybe someone out there can?

Google calendar event color tags not showing up in IPhone iCal - any fixes?

I have an iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1) and am trying to sync my google calendar to the built in iCal app. The events sync both ways, but the color tags I assign to each event does not sync. It used to bother me that the only way to color code events in google calendar was to create multiple calendars, but it seems as though google calendar has added the ability to change the color for each event so I'm going back to google calendar. For example, my classes are in blue, exams are in pink, meetings are turquoise, etc.
I synced my google calendar to the iPhone iCal (via settings, turned on calendar tab listed under gmail account that I use for my google calendar), and all the events sync correctly (can add events on google calendar or iPhone and it syncs), but the colors do not sync. When I view my iPhone iCal all the events from my google calendar are the same color, even if they have different color tags when viewed online. Also, when I add an event on the iPhone iCal, the event syncs to the google calendar but there is no option to change the color tag for the event and it shows up as the default grey color when viewed online.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is this something that google and apple have not resolved?
I would prefer not to use a third party app, but I might consider it if there is no other fix. Thanks!

Hello lulu and welcome to the Palm forums.
I don't know of a way to make the color codes from iCal sync with the color codes on the Palm Z22. The Missing Sync for Palm OS has more features than Palm Desktop, but I also don't believe it will sync the category color codes.

for the moment i am creating multilayered calendar with events coming from doc library.
everything with overlays is working perfect except the fact of limitation of standart colors.
i need to extend colors (add custom colors) but there is no option to add new color.
any clues?

I used to rely on Calendar overlays but also grew frustrated with the limitation of colors. Follow the steps from Planet Wilson: http://www.planetwilson.co.uk/sharepoint-2013-colour-calendar-v2/. (I can't post a link).
It uses a js file to give you full control over the colors meaning you can use any color you would like. Summarized steps below but link contains full instructions.
You'll need a calculated column that uses the following formula: = "|||" & [Category] & "|||" & [Title]
You'll need to default the view to the calculated column for it's day, month and weekly view
Add a content editor to your page and include a reference to the script
Edit the script to change the colors by matching your columns names to those in the script
Note: I haven't used v2 of the script but v1 works perfectly. There is also a 2010 version available.

Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

Can I change the default color of a calendar event?

I have a couple calendars that will be using the overlay functionality in 2010, and chosing colors for the overlays is no problem. However the main calendar defaults to green, and then when you open any of the overlay calendars their default color
is green on their calendar but different on the main version. Is there a way I can change the default so that either the main calendar doesn't show green (then each overlay owner wouldn't be confused), or to change the seperate overlay calendars to have

SharePoint 2010 calendar makes use of CALENDARV4.CSS file. The default location of this file is [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033\STYLES\Themable\]
Search for .ms-acal-item element in this CSS file and make changes to
background-color property to suit your requirement. A trial and error method could allow you to achieve your functionality.
CAUTION: Kindly make backup of your original CALENDARV4.CSS file, before making any changes.

How can I change the event display in an APEX 4.2 calendar?

Colleagues: The APEX calendar feature is pretty neat, but of course there's a feature I'd like to use but can't find how/where to change it. In other calendaring apps (e.g., Thunderbird) when an event is logged, like tomorrow's staff meeting, the time is blocked out vertically for the length of the event. So for example: if staff is from 2pm-4pm, both 2-3 and 3-4 are colorized so a quick visual will show what times during the day are not available.
The APEX calendar will show a colored bar for the start time of the event, but not a blocked-out vertical for the entire event. Make sense? Any way I can change the calendar/event view to accommodate this?

How to change calendar setting for one event in a repeating series?

Is there any way to change the calendar setting (color) for a single event in a repeating series without changing the color of all events in that series? It seems one event in a repeating series is linked to all other events in that series even if you change the time and/or date first.
The only workaround I've found is to create a new event Identical to the event in question except with the different calendar, then delete the original event. This would be a lot easier if the OS would ask the user if s/he wants to apply the calendar change to all future events or just this one. Or if there was a way to more easily duplicate a single event, that would also save me a lot of time.

The assignment of colors to calendars on your iPad is pretty simplistic. You can set a color for each calendar and all events (repeating or single instance) placed in a calendar use the calendar's color; however, you cannot set a color for one instance of a calendar event. The workaround you came up with is similar to the method I use. I have a calendar labeled "Priority Events" (Red) that I use for important instances of standing meetings. Oftentimes I leave the event in question in the calendar and simply place a priority event in the same time slot; it clutters up the calendar a bit but helps me visually.

Desktop 4.1.4 does not show calendar event after changing category

Palm Desktop 4.1.4 does not show (properly) a calendar event after changing its category and does not allow me editing it (on PC).
The event is seen as "grayed" region (no boarder and no 3D elevation shadow) although with different colors reminding the category ones.
Synchronization with my Tungsten E goes normally: I can see the event on the handheld, edit it, etc.
I use Win XP Pro 5.1.2600 SP3 build 2600 installed on Lenovo X61S (x86 based).

Why are my calendar events gone since updating to ios7

Ever since updating to iOS7 my calendar is empty. All of my events are gone. Most of them remain on my computer calendar, but that seriously isn't helping me when I am out. I have 10 kids and my calendar makes managing that possible. HELP!!!

If you have not done so already, check to see if you are syncing with iCloud. You may just need to turn on that feature to see the calendars. Check both on your computer and on your iPhone.

Highlight calendar events with topic colors

1. I've pretty well set up iClound on my PC and my iPhone. Love the Contacts, Mail, Calendar, functions. I've set all the categories and selected colors for each category on the calendar. However, I want to have each event with the appropriate color highlighted through the text for that event. I get the event color in the form of a dot on the left, but the text isn't highlighted. What can I do.
2. Also, on my iPhone with the APP link to the store, when I go through the phone to download an app, it asks for my apple ID but it shows a different (and old) email address. I've reset the ID through iTunes, app store, on my iPhone in Settings, on iCloud in settings, yet when I try to go to the app store through
my iPhone I get the old ID and I can't change it. HELP

The color of an event is dictated by the color assinged to the calendar it's on.
Tap Calendars then tap Edit to either changed the color of an existing calendar or to add a new one.

Can I switch calendars (Ex. "night shift" to "day shift" cal) with a repeating event, but ONLY for that one event?? It asks "for all events or only this event" if i change the time. But it changes ALL events when i try and switch calendars. Any help??

I have 2 calendars set up for my work schedule, a "night shift" and "day shift" calendar. I've set up repeating events fro Fri/Sat/Sun 3-11pm "night shifts" and Mon/Tues 7am-3pm "day shifts". But lets say for example that I swap shifts and instead of working nights on Saturday like I normally would, I am now working days. I want to change that in my calendar. When I go to change the event, if i change the TIME it asks if i want to change all event or ONLY this event. no problem....just this single event. but when i go to change the event from the "night shift" calendar to the "day shift" calendar, it changes ALL the repeating events, and not just that one single event. can anyone help with this??? am i doing something wrong? is there a way to do this or not with the new iCal program??? i used to do this and never had any problems. Thank you!

You need to follow iPhoto terms since we only know what you tell us
what are you calling folders - in iPhoto folders can not hold photos - albums hold photos and folders hold albums or other folders
The basic default view of photo is by event (iPhoto '08 and later)
