IOS7 ipad- 4 digit pin to access ipad

I upgraded my Ipad to IOS7, I dont remember putting in a 4 digit pin during setup, but now I cant access my ipad without a 4 digit pin- and none of the pins I would have entered without thinking are working. I keep getting locked out of the ipad and it states "ipad disabled" Logged into myappleid.com and couldnt find a way to change the pin or find out what it is.

If you have previously synced your device with iTunes, you may be able to reset the passcode by restoring the device:
1. Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
2. If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
3. When the backup and sync is complete, restore your device.
4. When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your device, choose "Restore from iTunes backup".
5. Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your device.

After the upgrade via WiFi in the hotel, the iPAD asks for a 4 digit kode to access my iPAD! ?????? APPLE, what programming subroutine is forgotten during functional testing prior to release of the latest iOS upgrade???? - Now from a borrowed hotel guest computer I post my ”HELP NEEDED”. Please advice if there is a way to skip a security kode I never enabled (nor even tried out and diabled) – WITHOUT spending time to find a Apple store helpdesk that restore via iTunes, and delete all my local data.

During the setup of iOS 7 which you went through after installation it asked if you wished to create a passcode. It is possible to skip setting up a passcode at this step but you must have created one.
If you can't remember the passcode and you have enabled "find my iPad" you can use http://www.icloud.com/ to remote erase your iPad, then you can set it up again, and restore it from an iCloud backup.

There could be a few things that could cause that issue. One is to make sure that the router settings are set to the recommended settings. The other is to go through the troubleshooting steps lied out in the articles below. This should give you a good starting point to get the issue resolved.

Backing Up and Restoring an IOS7 iPad to IOS6 iPad

My mother had an IOS6 iPad which was accidently updated to IOS7 by a family member and my mother can no longer use it due to the new layout. My wife still has IOS6 on her iPad so has agreed to swap with my mother. If I back up my mothers data from the IOS7 iPad using iCloud and then reinstall it to my wife's IOS6 iPad will it also wipe out IOS6 and replace it with IOS7?

If you use iTunes to restore an iPad currently under an older iOS version and the iPad is qualified to run the newest available iOS version, the iPad will be updated to the *newest iOS version*.
However, if your reset the iPad on the iPad itself (under Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings), it will remain at it's currently installed iOS version.

WAP4410N access point 4 or 8 digit PIN required by WIN 8.1 network not of router label

I am unable to get my WAP4410N wireless access point connected to my switch with an RJ45 connection to join my network because the 4 or 8 numeric digit PIN required by Win 7 and Win 8.1 is not identifiable on the router label. The network sees the WAP4410N but will not accept any6 of the numbers I put in. I have tried various numbers from the Mac address, serial number and model number, but "network setup" will not accept any of them.

Hi Peter, this is a Windows feature (a confusing one at that). On the same Window where the message displays asking for the PIN should say something like "Connect to the network without setting it up". This should take care of that for you.

I know that situations like this can be very frustrating and you have already done a great job with troubleshooting already. One further step that I would recommend would be forcing the Mail application to close and then open it fresh. Please use the attached article as a guide.

Try clearing Safari, then close the app and finally reboot your iPad
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Safari app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

iOS7 (iPad or iPhone) can't play music over airport? I don't see the little arro that let's me pick the airport for music to the audio system.

New way of doing this is to sweep your finger up from the bottom of the iPhone screen; you see a sort of control panel with things like airplane mode, bluetooth etc across the top. And 3/4 of the way down the little arrow thing you used to see beside in "music" to choose the AirPlay or Base Station.
Not exactly intuitive.

Assistive Touch Sluggish in IOS7 Ipad 4?

since updating to IOS 7, my Ipad 4 showed signs of slugishness while playing Temple Run 2, ZOmbie tsunami, etc when assistive touch is enabled . I noticed when I turn off the assistive touch, the slugishness dissappears and interface is smooth just like in IOS 6. Does anyone experiencing the same sluggishness while the assitive touch is enabled in IOS7 Ipad 4? Any feedback is much appreciated.

I'm having the same issues with an iPhone 4S 64GB with Assistive Touch enabled on iOS7. Doesn't exactly feel premium to have to turn the function on and off to make the phone usable.
(Yes, I have reset the phone, totally wiped it etc etc, nothing of that helps. It's most likely a bug in the renderer part.)

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
