IOS7 is a IED waiting to be downloaded

IOS7 not allowing me to sync my own ringtones. All tones located in itunes under tones but, total fiasco! Dunstan, your tech did not call me back as promised. Using 4S and having more problems trying to understand this (crap shoot called IOS7) of trying to get this phone back to working order. What a nightmare for the public with this cluster bomb (IED) from Apple. Nothing works either downloading from iCloud (or) from my computer. Reset my phone, nothing. Your tech was very nice to talk to, but not coming through with answers or a call back. Somebody at Apple needs to get going with how to solve so many of these problems. Thank you for the stress!

Firstly when you download a new software that is such a major overhaul like iOS 7 is you accept the risks that are associated with it. Don't like the possibility of bugs? Then wait a good month. All software is this way. End of story.
If tones won't sync/are missing after the update then plug into iTunes, select device, tones tab at the top, uncheck sync tones, apply changes. Let sync complete then check to sync tones, all tones, apply.
If that doesn't work you can back up, restore, restore the back up and then repeat the syncing steps mentioned prior.

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

Go to the Purchases tab in App Store and click on the Mountain Lion download. See if there is a Resume option.
There also might be an icon in the Dock where you can try the same.
I can't remember from Snow Leopard what it shows when you are downloading.

I am getting an error message that I don't have enough space to download what's in my queue. How do I delete the files waiting to be downloaded...they are tv shows.

If downalods won't fit on yrou computer, ou should clear up your drive by removing unsed programs and documents.
As a general rule, you should keep 10%-15% free drive space on your boot drive.

Some apps that have iOS7 icons in the app store, are downloading with their old iOS6 icon, in my case the first Infinity Blade.

First of all, it wasn't letting me post in the App store section, so this is my best bet. Basically the title says it all I went to download Infinity blade which update its icon upon the release of ios7 to look like this

(excruciating) waiting time to download a movie!!!

I've just got the new appleTV 2G and went to watch my 1st movie: 8hrs waiting time to download it!...My internet speed connection is good, fast, no problems there. In the mean time the 24hrs watching time is ticking, not good at all. I know there are people that can watch instantly, any ideas or suggestions to solve this problem?

After experiencing the same issue and trying different changes ie DNS settings, wireless position, channels etc the solution was the following:
1) Switch off "Send Data to Apple". This is under Settings-General. Give it a few minutes.

- Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
- Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select Mountain Lion. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Try to delete them (swipe left or right and hit the remove button) and then re-download them. If that doesn't work then restart your phone.

If you downloaded it to your Mac you don't watch it on your ATV unless you are using home sharing. Otherwise, you can stream it from your ATV directly from the store... which means you somewhat download it twice.

Since upgrading to ios7, apps just say waiting and then get the app cannot be downloaded at this time message. We run a proxy server, devices running ios6 have no problems. Anyone know what the problem is? I think apple just needs to fix its new OS.

I work at a school running 10 iPads. We connect to the internet through a proxy server. Prior to iOS7 we had no issues, the devices still on iOS6 work perfectly.
All devices which have been upgraded to iOS7 cannot download apps. I can find the apps in the store, choose to download them, but the icon hangs for a while before returning the "app cannot be downloaded at this time message". Help.

I have this same exact issue. We have even put all apple servers as not even being filtered by proxy and it still wont download anything. Nor will it let us even log in or create a new acct in the app store. It seems its also not just app store related....as it won't even let you check for IOS updates when a proxy is entered.
If anyone has any ideas let us know!

Tapping and rebooting has not helped me. It is Gmail. I can open from the App store download.

Hi i am hearing iOS7 takes up tons of memory, it's not a problem for me i have a 64GB iPhone 5 but is it worth it or should i wait? I have seen a few complaints in the forums already

I'm liking many of the new features and UI changes. The biggest complaint seems to be purely the aesthetics of the new look. For myself, I am all about function over looks - I mean it is not like I gaze for long meaningful moments at my iPhone or iPad home screen. I punch up an app and use the thing, and my apps all look pretty much the same (numbers is numbers, goodreader is goodreader, noteshelf is noteshelf, etc, etc). I really do not care much at all if it looks pretty or not - it's not some framed piece of art I'm staring at for long periods. When I am not using an app or making a call, the screens are black anyway.
And there are some very nice changes to appearance. Gone for example, are things like wholly illegible white tiny text on a light gray background in the music app. Additional features for text and contrast in Accessibility settings make things much easier on aging eyes. I like the enhanced security features. I like that audiobooks is back out in the main menu bar of the musci app. I'm finding it all to be very speedy and responsive on my devices (iPhone 5 and iPad 4).
My iPad did experience a glitch after updating - inability to sign in with my AppleID in iMessage and Facetime. A simple restore from backup (made just prior to updating) immediately fixed that. My iPhone updated without a single hitch of any kind.

Why when I try to download new apps does a blue circle with a blue square inside it come up and then it just says waiting and never downloads?

I've been having this problem for a while, and I have no idea how to sort it out. It won't let me download or upadate and apps at all and when I press download it comes up with this blue circle and the app just says waiting when I look at the icon... Someone help me it's really stating to bug me now and I need it sorting out.the circle in question is above the ''related'' option on the page.

You can't keep changing the ID you use with iTunes, you are limited to once every 90 days.
