IOS7 Mail: "Dieses E-Mail hat keinen Inhalt" message wrong
On serveral occations i get the message "This E-Mail has no content" from my iOS7 Mail App. When i open the same Mail form my Apple Mail Desktop client or outlook, i can see the content of that Mail. What goes wrong?
Sorry I don't see how any entry in the FAQ should answer my question? To me it seem as if the authentification process doesn't work. So how can I repair this?

Beim Öffnen von I-Photo kommt immer der Hinweis, dass 2 Fotos noch nicht importiert sind. Sie haben aber keinen Inhalt und werden deshalb als recovered Fotos unter Bilder im Finder archiviert. Auch wenn ich sie in den Papierkorb lege, kommt immer wieder der Hinweis auf noch nicht importierte Bilder beim Neu-Öffnen von I-Photo. Wie kann ich diese sog. "Bilder" nun wohl endgültig löschen?
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. Make no other changes. Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder.

I have 4 email accounts in apple Mail. My mail is sending from the wrong account. even on "reply" it sends from a different account. I have 3 gmail accounts and one exchange server account. I choose which account to send from and it still sends from the same gmail account. Help.
I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THIS???

Mail 2.1 goes to wrong IMAP directory, creates multiple connections
My Mail 2.1 woes continue using IMAP accounts on a FREEBSD virtual server.
I have 2 IMAP accounts and should be logged onto the server once for each account. My server people checked and told me I was logged on 10 times for 1 account and 7 for another. In all instances I was not in the Mail directory but in the root directory. Furthermore, my server people watched as I restarted mail and while I initially get to the Mail directory, I then move to the root directory.
I tried adding "Mail" to the IMAP path spot. That didn't work, and caused my other IMAP account to go offline and stay offline.
Last night I had connection problems when sending an e-mail and got a message that there were no outbound mail servers set up. So I set up the 2 IMAP mail servers and then things worked, then Mail program didn't work, and when I checked the outbound mail server list, the old missing servers were back on the list along with the new servers.
I also checked, and some of my local storage files and directories are now listed as being on the server as local storage. Very weird.
To make this all work going forward, I need to be able to get Mail 2.1 to go to the Mail directory on the server. I tried putting "Mail" in the IMAP path, but then it was looking for ~/Mail/Mail instead of ~/Mail.
Any ideas on how to get Mail to go to and stay in the Mail directory on my IMAP server?I fixed the problem by dumping Mail and switching to Thunderbird 2.0.0.9. All problems solved. Thunderbird has much better control over what happens between client and an IMAP server. (Probably a bad thing in an institutional setting.) Unfortunately, in other aspects, Mail is better than Thunderbird, particularly in junk mail screening. While there may have been away to get the latest version of Mail to work with my IMAP server, nobody seems to know including the Apple Store Genius and, by lack of replies on this board, most people in the know on these things.

How can I stop Mail from replicating a message & trying to send?
A few days ago I tried to send out an email with three attachments which totaled over 53 megs. Of course it was too large for the server and I recieved bounce back that the message could not be sent. I then created two seperate messages with the attachments at appropriate sizes. I have multiple email accounts and didn't tink anything of the event other than "I should have checked before sending..."
The next day I started getting the system warnings that there was no available space on my hard drive. The previous day I had over 5 gigs of available space.
After researching a few options I noticed the Mail application was having trouble sending an recieveing from one of the four accounts. Then I spotted the culprit - the account was trying to send out the mail with the 53 meg attachment. It was replicating and storing the message and attachment in the "On My Mac" saved mail folders as "Recovered Mail". It had replicated 100 times - 5 gigs worth. The message was not in my Outbox or Sent mail folders.
When accessing the newly created "Recovered Mail" folder and trying to delete the specific messages the application would crash. The work around was to delete the folder. Howver, the next day the folder re-appered and began populating the hard drive with duplicate files.
- Have tried virus scan (Norton AntiVirus) and using Norton Firewall to lock down all drive to internet traffic (annoying with block / allow mesages).
- Have tried deleting the account and re-creating it.
After a few hours or a day the dreaded "Recovered Mail" file was back and hogging drive space.
The account is accessible from my iPhone and through web browsers with no issues. I can't even find the offending message and attachment. So I suspect there is a bug / corruption in Mail.

If so, delete the messages in Mail from all folders and quit Mail.
Go the the website and clear the messages from all folders there.
Reopen Mail and verify the messages have been deleted for all folders. -
After upgrading to Lion, I went to open Mail and received the message that it needed to upgrade my Mail database - this may take a few minutes. The bar shows it is about 1/5 along and has been there for over 10 hours.
I tried quitting and starting again but it just jumps back to the same spot.It is quite large, but I have tried two of the fixes suggested and things now seem to be moving along.
(I was unable to seach properly before which is why I posted the question - it was a bit of a panic) -
When I try to open live hot mail I get this message: The Windows Live Network is unavailable from this site for one of the following reasons:

However, when I open hot mail in IE it opens just fine. Tried changing the password as suggested but it did not help in Firefox.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

My husband has an iPad and I just got one for me. We both have the same e-mail address. The message I get when I try to initiate setup is that the Apple ID is already in use. Any ideas on how to complete the setup of the new iPad since we both share the e-mail account?
If you selected open a new Apple ID account, go back a step and enter use existing Apple ID.
You will have to set up a separate iCloud account or your iPads will mirror each other. -

There are a variety of options available to you, including creating an email "alias" or changing the email address associated with your iCloud ID.
For all practical purposes your iCloud email address and Apple ID are interchangeable. To change your Apple ID read Apple ID: Changing your Apple ID.
If you simply created an Apple ID in error, you might consider abandoning it altogether and creating a new one. On the other hand, if you already used that Apple ID to purchase iTunes or other digital content, don't create a new Apple ID, because any purchases you already made are inexorably linked to the Apple ID used to make them. -
My mail is getting stuck in outbox, but I am receiving mail just fine. Message says 'server timed out'. What can i do to fix this?

It sounds like you are unable to send emails, as they go straight to the outbox, but you can get the emails without issue. I recommend using the Connection Doctor to help you troubleshoot what is happening with the following article:

How long has it been going on? I've had my yahoo mess up and if i wait a bit it resolves itself. Yahoo is doing something with their servers and it messes with your mail if your mail happens to be on one of those servers.

XI3.0 - file adapter create directory
Hi, Is there anyway in 3.0 to prevent a receiver file adapter from creating a directory if it does not already exist. There was a parameter in the J2SE adapter but I do not know if or how this has been implemented in 3.0. Regards Ian
