IOS7 music autoplay problem (iPAD3)

I wonder someone can help me out here.
I dock my ipad during the day to use the screen to watch tv/skype/factime etc.  When docking if I had any music on the device it would autoplay.  I have searched my settings with the speaker dock connected and found no way to disable this.  My workaround was to delete the music on my ipad, that way when I was in a skype/facetime call it did not put me on hold when I connected them together.
Howevver...
Since upgrading to iOS7 I am unable to stop it retrieving/streaming the music from my iTunes account - I have switched off automatic downloads for music but it doesnt change!  I have stopped it mid-stream and deleted the tracks from my ipad but on next reconnect it starts streaming/playing them again.
Can anyone help me as its infurating to have it hang up on people all the time, or put me on hold (skype doesnt return properly sometimes after this happening, so I have to hang up and reconnect).
Hopefully someone out there can shed some light on it for me.  I have searched the net and asked my iOS developer mates, but they cant find a solution.

Bumping in the hope that someone has an idea how to stop this behaviour.
Help me xxxxx, you're my only hope!

  • Ios7 music sync problems for iPhone 4S

Like many other folks I made the huge mistake of updating (NOT upgrading) to io7, in my case 7.0.4, then trying to sync musci from iTunes.  I first upgraded (ha!) to iTunes 11.1.3, then found I was lost in the 'waiting for changes' zone.  I've now been working on this problem for hours, along with a host of other ios7-related changes (e.g. the inability to limit the number of gmail messages ported into active memory).  I've tried most of the fixes others have listed [remove all sync flags, rebuild playlist, clean out chinese characters, etc.] and finally got one sync to make it through the 'veil', but subsequent syncs now get stuck as well.  I have not tried a full restore and really don't want to go down that path. This is pathetic, and the total cone of Apple silence about this issue makes you wonder where their customer focus disappeared to.  Any other ideas?

  • IOS7 Music Player problems?

In the iOS6 version I was able to play all artist in one genre that I have selected, now I cannot, Is there a way to fix this?

I have the same problem.  I used to be able to drill down from genre to all artists with songs in the genre and then all albums of that artists with songs in the genre.  Now when I drill down to genre it lists all the songs of the artists.  That makes genre drill down totally useless.
Apple & AT&T confirmed this and said its by design.  I wish there was a way to use the old ios 6 Music app on ios 7.  Otherwise, I am looking for an alternative 3rd party app to play the music.

  • Music autoplay for PCs and everybody?

I know there is ways to make a music autoplay with Quicktime, it's on previous threads.
But is it possible to make a music autoplay that will work on any PC, Explorer and Firefox ? Maybe without Quicktime? On MP4 maybe ?
    Thanks.

ive tried this and it doesn't work.
i then tried using Microsoft Publisher, and it autoplays the music.

  • Music App Problems iOS7

I am not having problems syncing music with iOS7, however I am having other issues.
For example, the app OFTEN crashes and freezes. This is a native app, should not be having this issue.
Also, why did they take away the feature where double tapping the home button brings up the music controls? Can I bring that back?

Double tap the home button and close out all the "cards" you have open by swiping them up. Make sure you don't have any apps left open. Tap the home button again when your done or just tap on the screen that's left (that can't be closed) now open the music app again it should not crash now. To pull up music controls slide from the very bottom of your screen upward this will bring control center where you can control your music player from any screen (actually better if you ask me) just have to get used to it. Hope that helps. If it doesn't I would consider doing a back up and restore by connecting your phone to iTunes and following the instructions under restore iPhone.

  • Since upgrade to ios7 music played thru my Bose has been to say the least hazy it's fine thru phone but the pad has the problem has anyone else got same problem ?

Since upgrade to iOS 7 playing my music from iPad via Bose has been to say the 'least' hazy, not got same problem with phone, has anyone out there come across same problem

The sound on my iPad was pretty bad for Siri after upgrading to iOS 7. I ended up restoring to factory settings which did the trick, but is a big step, especially if you've lots of content on your iPad.
However it may be worth trying a basic Reset where data remains as is.  To do that hold down both the Sleep & Home buttons together until the Apple logo is displayed on screen.

  • Not All iTunes Music Showing up in iOS7 Music App

    Good Morning!
I am new to this forum and hope someone can help me resolve a frustrating problem.  I am a PC person (and was an Andriod person) who now uses a PC for my iTunes library but has two Apple TVs, a iPad mini and an iPhone 5S... I'm converting!
My problem is with iTunes and the "Music" app in iOS7.  I used to use Google Music when I had a Droid and all of my music did (and still does) automatically copy to Google when I add something to iTunes. I don't have to do a thing, all set up.
However, after buying my iPad mini and iPhone 5S I discovred the Music app does NOT have all of my iTunes library in it.  I use iCloud, I use iTunes Match (maybe my problem).  However, no matter what I do only about 1/3 of my iTunes music libary is available in the music app. I have thousands of songs. Perhaps a quarter were purchased on iTunes and the rest are CDs I ripped over time or purchased of MP3 files form Amazon, etc.
Of my perhaps 4,000 songs, I'm lucky if the Music app has 1,000.  If I have 4 albums by an artist, I may see two in the Music app, the other two remain only in iTunes. It doesn't seem to matter where I got the track from. Sure, I bet al the ones purchased from iTunes store are there (I don't keep a list of what was bought where) but there are also Amazon purchases, ripped files, Google Music purchases scattered in there too... it only is 1/4 of my library and frustrating.  I also have an album listed but only 1 or 2 songs are available in the Music app when the entire album is in iTunes.
I am smacking my head against the wall unsure of why in Earth iTunes is not loading my entire library so I can use it on all my iOS devices.  The devices are setup in iTunes.
I am, however, able to download a third party Google Music app on my iPad and iPhone and THERE I can see and listen to my entire library but just selections. That works great.
I WANT to use the iOS7 app to listen to all my iTunes music. I don't want to have to use a Google go around but I can't seem to solve the problem. I launch iTunes, it says it is running match and unless I bought a new track from iTunes, the rest of my library in the same place as the tracks it did sync remains ignored.
I know my library is large. Do I need to purchase addition space somewhere? If so, I am never prompted. Why it would sync one two tracks from am album that all came from the same source also baffles me.
Sorry this is long, I wanted to give as many details as I want.  I want all my music available under "Music"and to be able to ditch Google music but searching online gives few clues as to why only part of my library uploads to the Cloud.
    Any ideas?  Thanks!

    Heiko,
I had the same problem and noticed that the missing albums had been PhotoCast. Apparently these albums are not available for transfer to your iPod. When I Stopped Publishing the album, the problem was solved.
    I hope this helps, Jim
Not sure when exactly this happened but I guess with
    the installation of iTunes 6.04.
Some of the albums I've created in in iPhoto do not
show up in the iTunes iPod options.
I first noticed when trying to view photos on my iPod
that images that had been there before were no longer
    available.
Anybody else experiencing this? Any idea on how to
    fix this?
I've already tried to restore my iPod and delete the
iPod Cahe folder but that didn't help.
    Thanks,
    Heiko.

  • IOS8 ****! Music synching problems.

Since updating to iOS8 I have had relentless problems with my music on my iPhone. I have a 64GB iPhone 5S and have never encountered problems before updating the software to iOS8 and the updates that have followed are making matters worse.
At first, it would delete all the album artwork from the phone and now subsequent updates now have my music being deleted apart from those bought within iTunes and the 'other' bar on the phone is over 40GB which doesn't allow me to re-add my music.
I have called Apple and they claim I'm the "only person" to experience this, although a quick google search proves otherwise. After going through some convoluted "solutions" for an hour or so, the call always ends with me being told to restore my phone from scratch which works fine until I try and sync it and then it's back to square one. I am currently restoring my phone for the fourth time within a week and am furious.
I have a LOT of music on my phone (8000+ songs) and the syncs now take five hours to put it back on. Apple don't seem to have a clue and claim you can't revert to the far more reliable iOs7. To me, iOS8 is like installing a virus on my phone and I dread updating it (though I do in the vain hope that someone has bothered to fix this issue) as much as I do synching it. This has only happened since the awful iOS8 was installed.
    Am I alone in this?

hi, I can confirm I have had similar issues since I upgraded to an 64 GB iPhone 6 with ios8 last September. Never had issues before with my iPhone 4S and ios 6 or 7.
What happens is that some tracks or complete albums are randomly deleted on my iPhone. More precisely they appear as grey and cannot be read or downloaded. The only solution I have found so far is to synchronise my iPhone with iTunes on my computer : all the deleted tracks then appear again, but after a few hours, new tracks disappear.
It happens on any type of music : new or older tracks I purchased on iTunes with my iPhone, or tracks initially collected from my personal CDs... it seems that there is no rule...
I have around 1500 tracks in total by the way.
I thought the few ios 8 updates would correct the issue, but it seems that it is getting worse weeks after weeks...
Is there anyone from apple who can answer us on this community discussion?
    thanks

  • Iphone IOS7 Music Not Working

Ever since I downloaded IOS7 on my iPhone 5 when I am listening to music if I skip a couple of songs, the music stops playing and the song does not progress, you can continue to skip songs but if you hit pause/play nothing still happens. If you quit the app and reopen it the music still doesn't play, you have to wait it out. Anyone have a solution for this problem?

    Hey Maggie1323,
I have the same problem. The Music used to play in the same without any problems. Since IOS7 the player does not work right I have the following issues:
    Some songs don´t even start
Wheny receiving a call the player looses the songs it was just playing before the call.
Some songs start playing and stop after a while.
I think IOS7 is not good especially when you have a Iphone 4 the phone is to slow. This software is a step back.
Apple should do somethign really fast, otherwise the customers will loose the interest to these products.

  • Music Shuffle Problems

I hope somebody can help me with this problem!
I updated my software to ios7.0.4 yesterday and ever since then my music (whether it is on shuffle or not) will jump over any song I pick. When I press shuffle it passes by at least 10 songs before it stops to play one and even when I choose a particular song it picks one around 6 songs after it. It won't let me go back to play the songs it bypassed, and it is extremely frustrating. Then these little red circles with squares in them pop up to all the songs I shuffled by or clicked on and when I hit them again the song goes gray and I cannot click on it anymore. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I have tried turning my phone on and off again and I have tried rebooting it, but it does not seem to do anything.

Are you playing m4a or AAC audio files? See my post at:
