IOS7 new update = bluetooth still not working

Very, very frustrated. I have an iPhone 5 and a Motorola Elite Sliver and ever since the iOS7 update my bluetooth is inopperable. My phone recognizes i have a headset, recognizes it by name, connects momentarily then disconnects. I've searched support communities high and low and tried all the recommended fixes, waited patiently for a new software update but still no bluetooth fix. This is bush league Apple.

Tap Settings > Bluetooth and locate the Bluetooth accessory you are currently connected to or attempting to connect to. Then tap and Forget this Device.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If the steps above have not resolved the Bluetooth behavior you are experiencing, perform a software restore in iTunes.

Bluetooth still not working in Mercedes with 2.1 update

I downloaded the 2.1 update. Unfortunately bluetooth still does not work in my 2008 Mercedes E320. I had no problem with the old iphone software. Any suggestion out there.

Yes, I was hopeful too, but alas bluetooth HFP adapter (late 2006 CLK) won't download contacts into the COMAND system. You can still make and take calls though (but you don't know who's calling, as there's just a number on the COMAND screen).
For all those at Apple that keep insisting this is a Mercedes hardware issue, let me say this slowly... Software 1.1.4 + iPhone + Merc HFP adapter: worked fine. Software 2.0.0 onward + same iPhone + same Merc HFP adapter: no contacts in COMAND. COME ON! GET IT SORTED! (or maybe Apple are in bed with Merc, BMW etc who interestingly have recently released dedicated iPhone adapters?!?!).
I suggest if you've got an EDGE iPhone: 1) Heep hold of it, 2) DON'T upgrade it from 1.1.4, or 3) HACK it back to 1.1.4!

What is the make & model number of the keyboard?
You could get a keyboard remapping program & map someother key to the volumn key.

Just to add my empathys .... every day I dream longingly of the good old Tiger days when my computer just worked and I could feel the joy of having abandoned Microsoft years ago. Now that I run what is clearly Microsoft Leopard (hey, Apple had to get someone to bang together an operating system while they were busy drooling over their own iPhone and all the $$$$ it has created, and this cat has MS pawprints all over it) Im beginning to wonder whether its time to move to Linux.

Hi. I note nothing posted on this in a while but the issue has not been fixed. I was wondering if anyone has an update. I went to the Apple store about my Bluetooth and they really skirt the issue. They totally do not accept responsibility for the Bluetooth issue on the i6 phone. Even going so far as to call my dealership about a firmware update (which I did). Nothing they have suggested works. I wish I had gone with android. . .almost did, darn it. Does anyone know when this will be fixed / heard anything. shame on Apple for not owning up to this and especially since their products are so expensive. . .you expect more.

I updated to ios8.2 and still have no audio with Bluetooth. Also interestingly enough I can not turn off my phone now????

Have you tried a reset? A Restore of iOS?

New 3GS Bluetooth is not working

I just got the new iphone today, I tried to pair it with my existing apple headset and is not paring, I tried to pair it with my Jabra 700 (car) and is not pairing.
It does show the right device on under devices pairing ... but it will pair with either of them. Any suggestions?

I had a 3G.
It worked fine with my car (Mercedes).
I bought a 3GS.
It won't work with my car.
The phone can see the car. The car can see the phone.
I can enter the PIN on both the car and the phone. The car thinks the phone is authorized and available.
The phone won't complete connection when I click on the car name in the bluetooth device list, and the car can't activate the phone from its user interface.
Like I said, worked fine with the 3G and won't work with the 3GS.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Firefox says adobe won't work, update installed, still not working

Firefox says my Adobe needs to be updated-I update the program and am still getting the same error message and adobe isn't working either.

hello dzucker, according to your system details, you still have adobe reader 9.4.5 present which is vulnerable. please update at least to version 9.5.3 or the current acrobat reader XI which are available at https://get.adobe.com/reader/ (the site currently seems down/has some issues, so if it doesn't work immediately check back a little bit later).

New aluminum bluetooth keyboard not working properly

Got the new aluminum keyboard and paired it with my MacBook Pro and everything went swimmingly. Love the key feel and the compact size. Updated the software to 1.2 and now I get the following behavior:
- The keyboard pairs up fine, and the battery level shows up
- The tab, arrow keys, delete, and tab all work fine
- No other keys work
I've tried restarting the MacBook Pro, and that solves the problem for a couple of minutes, but then the keys become non-functional again. Anybody have any idea what might be happening?

It appears that the problem was that I had Mouse Keys turned on in the Universal Access preferences. Turning that off allows me to use all keys now. Odd, as I've never made any changes to that preference pane. If the default is to have that turned on, perhaps Apple should make it clear that it must be turned off.

I increased my hard drive RAM, I tried to open Itunes and it gives me the following message: iTunes requires QuickTime 7.5.5 or later. For more information on upgrading your computer. Updated everything, still not working. What should I do ?

I have updated all my software, my ITunes content is available in my music and video files, but I click on ITunes and it doesn't open, it continues to give me the message that I ned to update quicktime, quicktimes has been updated, and even Quicktimes Pro has been purchased and installed. What can I do?

Bluetooth in Subaru still not working with ios update

Bluetooth is still not working in my Subaru with my iphone 6. I've updated the iOS to 8.1, done most of the suggested tips I've read on line and my phone will still not find my car's (or my plantronic headset). Bluetooth does work with my jawbone speaker, but that's it. I'm looking for any new suggestions. Thanks

I just sold my Motorola RF-850 that was hooked up to my GTO today because it wasn't working with my IPhone.
