Ios7, Numbers problem on data input

On both iPhone and iPad2, in Numbers, when I input data using the 'tab' screen,( sorry, not sure of what you call it), and use down arrow to go to next cell, the cursor disappears and will only come back if I come out of that screen using the left or right arrows at the bottom or click 'Done' then go back to the input page. Very frustrating and slow! Any answers?

As I've had no response, I had better clarify: this problem only started after 'upgrading' to iOS 7 and is happening on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5. It happens in Numbers when using the Input Form method of adding data to the spreadsheet. So I add my data to one field and want to add data to the next field: previously all I had to do was click on the down arrow or next, but now when I do that, the cursor disappears altogether and the only way I can get to the next field is to come out of that 'input form' by either clicking on the right arrow and then going back to the input form or clicking done and then returning to the input form.
I have tried going through Apple Support but just end up in blind allies.
Can I also say that I find the iOS 7 upgrade to be awful and frustrating and wish I hadn't done it on both my devices, don't get me started on the draining of the batteries!

But in the workflow if i did nt pass the date it is giving me error as value is null or empty

thanks kaushik it helped me what i did was recently we migrated to 2.0.1 in that they are allowing us to manipulate workflowMessageToSend in this way im passing default value if the input value is null.

Problem with data input by utl_file

Hi,
I am importing data from txt files into an xe database using utl_file; works nice but messes up the special characters from brazilian portuguese, they are imported as � (a question mark of sorts.) Here the nls set up from xe:
NLS_CHARACTERSET AL32UTF8
NLS_LANGUAGE BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE
NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET AL16UTF16
This is an example: Pr�-Comercializa��o Agr�cola -Pr�prios
Anyone has any idea of how to solve this problem? If I type the data, everything works fine.

Apologies. What I said earlier is incorrect. You don't need a Nvarchar. Your database character set seems to be correct. It looks like there is a character set conversion happening between client and server. Are you able to see the right set of characters in your sqlplus client (i.e) when you do a select * from <table_name>. what is your operating system (Windows / Unix) ? Does your operating systems support your character set ? What is your nls_lang set to ? For more information check this link

M…oSoft products aren't allowed on my machines but I use LibreOffice which is a clone of Office.
When I export from Numbers to Excel and open the result with LibreOffice, the dates are correctly treated.
To be precise, dates after 01/01/1904 are correctly treated. dates before 01/01/1904 are exported as strings but, as it's flagged during the export process, it's not surprising.

Entity service date input problem

I have wrapped BAPI Holiday_Get as an external service
its input parameter DATE_FROM and DATE_TO have been imported as caf.base.string type
When i run along with others inputs in ECC/R3
DATE_FROM = 15.05.2006
and DATE_TO = 15.05.2007
i get the required output
when i call it using an Entity service and input data as above - i get the error --
ERROR. For input string: "15.0":
I have used the caf.core.shorttext type for my data_ to and date_from attribute
I have also tried to pass them as default but still it is not working
What is to be done for passing this as input to entity service?
Help me in this issue .

I have wrapped BAPI_FLIGHT_GET_DATA as external service its input parameters are ARline ID,ConfigID and Date
In R3 when i give AA,0017, 04.07.2007 date iam able to get the output correctly.
when iam trying to get the data from the CAF UI. with the above given data iam getting "com.sap.caf.rt.exception.CAFFindException"
i have bind the date attribute to caf.base.date/caf.core.date and checked got the same exception.
As,you also got the same problem.

Problem in data extractrion

hi all,
i am facing some problem in data extraction from r/3 system.
for one of the sales requirement i have created a z data source based on table. its activated and properly replicated in bw system. when i try to extract data from r/3 system it has some 78125 records in total, data is posted from r/3 system comes to bw but it fails in bw system.
under extraction tab it extracts data and shows like this ;
Extraction (messages): Errors occurred
Data request received
Data selection scheduled
78125 Records sent ( 0 Records received )
Error occurred in the data selection
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Errors occurred
Data Package 000001 : sent, not arrived
Data Package 000002 : sent, not arrived
when i expand the node for message it gives below error messages;
Error                                                 7 when sending an IDoc
An SQL error occurred when accessing a table.
An SQL error occurred when accessing a table.    3
An SQL error occurred when accessing a table.    4
Errors in source system
but when i extract data with some restriction upto 2000 records it has extracted easily .... from that i can conclude that there is no problem with datasource, there is no rfc issue, no idoc issue problem is with data sizing....
can anyone suggest me some paramerts to increase which can help me in removing this problem or any inputs are welcomed.

same data source is working fine when i extract the data by putting some selection like sales org etc. so it seems to be that there is no problem with datasource,... but im clue less i have no idea why its not working when i am extracting full data without any selection and record numbers are also not very high.
its only 78125 records.

Tree-control for data input?

Hi,
I need to program an input screen for values that have hierarchical dependencies (e.g. sums). I feel, the most adequate user-interface would be a tree control, because of the data dependencies and also because the users asked for a possibility to collapse/expand parts of the data during input.
I had a look at CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE, but I'm not sure, if it can be used for data input. Has anyone done something like this before or can anybody direct me to some additional sample coding? (the sample coding in the reuse library didn't do it...)

Since you say that the user's input is hierarchical in nature, it is nice to have a tree-control for input. But, the choice of using a custom-control-version of the tree is a cause for some concern. I cannot recollect any of the SAP screens where the input can be given through such a tree framework (please do let me know if you have come across one). The problem with such a tree would be in the areas of even-handling. Filling the tree with appropriate data at the right times would be another challenge.
However, there's one alternative that I would like to direct your attention to. You must have observed another kind of tree, when you select an application component from the APPLICATION HIERARCHY, which is just like a list. Also, the Transport Organizer (SE09), Menu Painter (SE41) etc., have this kind of a tree. You can use this if you (or rather your users) are very particular on having a tree display. For more information, you can see the Function Group SEUT, which has the required function modules to accomplish the same. The Function Group is well documented, and you might have to work a little on the function modules themselves.

[Solved] CUPS: Unable to write print data: Input/output error

I'm filling this for the benefit of those poor googlers that can reach here.
Symptoms: After trying to print a "complex" image the printer made too much breaks, and failed.
The problem is, it then didn't came up. I mean, I restarted the printer, cupsd, the whole system, and nothing.
I was unable to print again, it showed "Unable to write print data: Input/output error" and refused to print anything.
I then saw that in /etc/cups I had printers.conf and printers.conf.O files, which differed (other than in StateTime), that printers.conf.O had
State Idle
but printers.conf had:
State Stopped
StateMessage Unable to write print data: Input/output error
Reason paused
Probably due to the ErrorPolicy being stop-printer.
So seeing I followed the following steps:
Stop cups
Replace printers.conf with printers.conf.O (I could also had manually edited it)
Start cups
It then went working flawlessly.
There was probably an option in the web interface combobox for doing that. The problem is that I didn't realise it was stopped, so didn't know how to make it work. Moreover, some posts in the web recommended reinstalling the printer (which would skip the problem by creating a new printer).

I think that I had this same problem, and fixed it by reinstalling the printer. Thank you for your post.

Screen refresh problem where data is entered and the screen doesn't refresh

Many people in the company are experiencing the odd screen refresh problem where data is entered and the screen doesn't refresh to show the updated result in corresponding cell formulas.
Microsoft have issued a hotfix to fix the issue for Excel 2003 as shown. Microsoft released a hotfix for this problem (<a href="advisory?ID=978908">KB978908</a>). Display memory tends to pick up data from hidden sheets and pastes it
into the active screen. No impact on the file. This occurs when protecting and unprotecting worksheets in VBA. I also suspect that enabling and disabling screen refresh contributes to this problem. In any case there is a fix, albeit with the following disclaimer:

Based on your description, Excel does not show the text strings when you typing. It may be caused by the cell format, if we set the cell format as ";;;" in custom format, it will not display the text that you typed.
And the issue may be caused by the third-party input method, there are some compatibility issue between them.
If the issue still exits, please try the following methods
Verify/install the latest updates
Repair your Office program

A problem with data acquisitioning in LV 7.1 (transition from Traditional NI-DAQ to NI-DAQmx)

I have a problem with data acquisitioning in LV 7.1.
I made a transition from Tradiotional NI-DAQ to NI-DAQmx in my LabVIEW application.
The problem I have is that when I acquire data in Traditional (without writing somewhere -
just reading) then there is no scan backlog data. But when I acquire data in application that
acquisition is based on DAQmx than a scan backlog indicator shows numbers from 20 to 50 for
about 6 min and then that number quite quickly increases until I get an error (unable to
acquire data. The data was overwritten).
Acquisition settings are the same in both cases. When I acquire with DAQmx I use a global
channels. Is a reason for that phenomenon in global channels data procesing? But it seems
strange why does it flows quite smoothly for about 6 min and then it stucks?

If you have an old Daq unit it may not be compatible with DAQMX. Which DAQ unit do you have? I think NI have a list showing which DAQ driver you can use with your card

Problem formatting date.

I have a problem in validating and formatting date input by the user. The user input format is dd-MM-yyyy. I have to validate it and format it to dd-MMM-yy format. I tried the below code.

I'm new to this community and I'm banking on someone being able to help me!
I'm connecting a DAT player to the SPDIF input on my Soundblaster Li've card and recording using Audacity.
Within Creative Audio HQ I've got the SPDIF volume level set to 00% (for starters, perhaps someone can explain why there is a volume control when I thought this signal was staying in the digital realm?!) and when I record in Audacity the resulting material clips with high transient sound... a piano, for example, distorts on the louder notes.
I need to take the level down to about 70% (or the equivalent in Audacity would be 0.7 - the 2 'volume' controls are connected) to avoid any clipping.
I've had the sound card years and used to use SoundForge without any problems. Any ideas why this is happening in Audacity?
I'm using XP and?I have downloaded the latest drivers and turned off the MOBO onboard sound in my BIOS.
I would be grateful for any assistance anyone can give.

If your pre-amp is a phono pre-amp (with RIAA in-build), I suppose it's not the culprit for clipping.
How have you set the recording and source (input) levels on Volume Control and Recording Control?
Try adjust the recording level by the 'hights' (loudest outputs) of the record (you know those recordings so you can easily find those places (or you can look on vinyls surface where the darkest areas are --> loudest outputs)).

Nobody will be able to identify the problem without seeing your code. Excel Insert Cells.vi is used to add cells to an existing spreadsheet, not to set the cell value. To do this is a more specific way than the Append Report Text.vi you can use Excel Easy Text.vi or Excel Insert Table.vi. With these vis you can specify the range where you want to insert something.
For your other question (Two different data types) you can use the Excel Set Cell Format.vi to format a range as a date or something else. You will need to use the Excel format specifiers for this.
