Ios7 Photo app issue.

I Installed ios7 on my iPad3 and iPhone 5 & see some of the images in the Photo app don’t scale properly & cut off at the top and sometimes right side, never an issue before. You can pinch them down to fit, but they don’t stay that way. I use the iPad to highlight my graphic work and and this is a big issue for me and I would suspect others. It seems random but happens fairly frequently. . Again, same images as before and as i said, never a problem before. It seems to affect not photos as much as images such I scan, get from LOC, various other sources, work on in Photoshop or illustrator, all legit and all fine in 6.14 and earlier. Needs to be addressed. PS,  other apps that show images, Photo Manager Pro, for instance, show the same images properly. Anyone else notice this? Happens on my wife's 5 as well.

For the record, just confirmed it happens to photos taken by my iPhone as well. Really hope someone at Apple reads this and runs it down and fixes it. Most annoying to have to awkwardly resize images when presenting to prospective client, or a complete stranger. :-)

  • I can't delete my photos in the new iOS7 photo app.

    Hi,
I can't delete my photos in the new iOS7 photo app. I tried shutting the app down and opening it again, but it doesn't help. What should I do?
    Thanks

I had this problem to but I figured it out. Basically the photos are there because your photos on your computer are synced into your phone differently, not sure how it works. But plug in your phone to your computer, open itunes, click on your phone, go to photos and uncheck the "Sync Photos from:" Option at the top. A message should pop up asking whether you want to keep or remove the photos already on your phone. Click remove, and there you go

  • How do I find a photo in new iOS7 photo app?

Can anybody help with the new Photo app on iOS7?
I have about 5000 photos taken around the world over the last fifty years. With the old Photo app, if I wanted to find a photo taken in (say) Argentina it was easy - just go to Places view, zoom to Argentina on the map, zoom to where I took the photo, and then click on a red pin. The map was a fabulous intuitive tool to easily find photos.
How do I do this now? The only way I have found is in "collections" where I have to try to remember what year I took the photo then squint through pages of minute thumbnails. I usually give up without finding the photo. Is there not an easier way?

I rang Apple support today about this issue. After a great deal of polite argument with a senior support person, Apple have agreed to exchange my iPhone 4S and iPad 2 for reconditioned replacements that still have OS6.1.3 on them, and so still have the Photo Map.
They accepted my argument that they should have warned in their own description of OS7 that Photo Map (and Wikipedia search on Spotlight) had been removed.
I am therefore off to the local Apple Store tomorrow to pick up the reconditioned items.

  • Photos app issue

after updating to the latest software I tried to find albums that have been shared with me on the photos app but none appeared. I have photo sharing turned on. Any idea how to get these albums?

Beta software - which is what the Photos app is - is not included on this forum. If you've enrolled as an Apple Beta tester then you'll need to use the beat testing forums.

  • IOS7 Photo App pinch complaint. Help or comments?

When viewing photographs taken with the camera in iOS7, by default the screen is slightly zoomed in on the picture. In iOS6 all we had to do was pinch your fingers together and the photo would zoom out and then be in full view. Now in iOS7 if you pinch to see the whole picture the picture disappears back into the camera roll. TERRIBLE FEATURE OF IOS7!! The only solution is to turn and view the vertical photo in landscape mode, which is not good at all. Then you have to zoom in and it looks terrible! It is especially a problem if you take a photo of an article and the words get cut off on the edges. Anyone else disappointed by this? Anyone think APPLE will actually fix this?

  • New iOS7 Photos app will not fit images to screen?

Since upgrading to the latest ios7, what used to be a rather pleasant and relaxing experience, now is rather tedious and has actually forced me to put down my iPad.  I download a lot of graphic novels and before iOS7, I could read a whole page without having to tap the screen, etc.  Now, the pages are off the screen, so having to resize the image is an added step.  Why?!?!?!?  If it was a 1-10 pages, I think there wouldn't be a problem, but these files have 210 pages in average.  Any suggestions out there?...  I'm not looking to use any of these files as background or wallpapers, which most people have been complaining about.

I have important photos on iPhoto and will only transfer photos from 2012 to Photos. Can you help me?
How are you migrating from iPhoto to Photos?  And what exactly happens?
When you first launch Photos, it will automatically open the default iPhoto Library in your Pictures folder.  If your main iPhoto Library is somewhere else, drag it to the Photos icon in the Dock to migrate that library to Photos.
Where is your main iPhoto Library? Is it on an external drive - if yes, how is this drive connected?

  • After upgrade to iOS7, photo app and setting wallpaper is too unconfortable!!

I totally love new iOS 7.
But some things have to need to change.
Especially when I used photo album, it was too unclear and not simple.
I also don't like that I can't resize my photo before setting as a wallpaper.
Even I used iOS 7 less than one day, I saw several things that need to change.
I hope that apple make ios 7.1 version asap.

  • Where is the slideshow feature in the Photos app? (iOS7)

Since upgrading to iOS7, I haven't been able to figure out how to run a simple slideshow of one of my Photos albums. Has this been removed/moved?

    Ckuan,
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work. Once you deselect a photo there is no slideshow option displayed. all you can do is select or cancel.
EDIT (from another thread): if you just click the 1st photo then click slideshow, the entire album will run.  As for your question about pausing, if I touch the screen of the photo I want to pause, the slideshow will stop until I touch the screen again and then the option for slideshow comes up again, and once you click the slideshow option, the slideshow resumes.
What a Pain. Back in iOS 2 (yes, 2) you could stop and start photos from anywhere in an album and manually make them move forward with a flick of the screen if you were showing them on a TV. It worked brilliantly with a pause and play button. WHY did Apple get rid of this? It was like Keynote was built into the photos app.

You can redownload them from the App Store app.

  • ICloud photos library for Photos app Yosemite sync issues

Strangely, after enabling iCloud photos library on Photos app. It does sync all the lowres image into Photos app but the downloading of hires is always stuck.
Even if I leave it to sync overnight and it just stay the same until the next morning.
Anyone has facing the same issues?
    Thanks.

After two weeks I'm on my 6th attempt (6th from-scratch library) just trying to get the download and sync features to work. As of this morning the sync appears to be working but the fact that after 12 hours of "downloading" my library of 53,000 images is only 9 gigabytes, I'd say, yes, my high-resolution images are not coming down either. I have definitely set to download originals to my Mac.

  • Issue with Photo App

I can't open up Camera Roll (the album with all my photos.) The problem is that on the list of albums, Camera Roll is at the top...and under the label "Albums." When I pull the list down, it comes down, but i can't open up the album. Any ideas?

Thanks, I found it...I am surprised. Here it is:
For those of you needing the step by step...
1 - Press the HOME button until you get back to your HOME screen.
2 - Press the HOME button twice, somewhat rapidly.
3 - The home screen should FADE, and rise up to reveal a row of four icons across the bottom. If your PHOTOS are not one of those four, swipe the icons to the left to reveal the next four. Repeat this until you see PHOTOS.
4 - Press and hold PHOTOS for about 2 seconds. All four visible icons will start to wiggle and a red MINUS sign will appear on each one.
5 - Release your hold on PHOTOS, then tap the red minus sign on PHOTOS. This will "close" the photos app.
6 - Press the HOME button twice, somewhat rapidly.
7 - Relaunch your PHOTOS app. Should be fixed.
