IOS7 Wiped My Phone? Backup Not Fully Backed Up?

So, I downloaded iOS7, and some sort of glitch or error in the upgrade process made iTunes factory reset my phone, without even prompting me for permission. This was my first problem.
I had a backup on my computer, but when I restored my phone with that, all it gave me were my settings, messages, mail, etc. All of my apps and music are entirely gone. Is there any way I can get these back without having to re-add them all manually? Also, is there any reason why my backup didn't fully backup all my content?

Yeah, I ended up just manually re-downloading all my apps (not fun) and I'm still gonna have to manually re-add all my music to my phone from iTunes (gonna be a pain). The people at my service provider, AT&T, even said that's what I'd have to do when I brought my iPhone in.
I was also lucky enough that some of my apps kept their saves and data when I redownloaded them, except a couple didn't. Unfortunately, those were the biggest games I had, being The World Ends With You Solo Remix and GTA: China Town Wars. Their save files were completely wiped, and having to start over from scratch on those does NOT a happy iPhone user make. Is there any way whatsoever it's possible those saves could have been synced to iCloud, or anything??? Honestly at this point if I just got those back I'd be satisfied.

If your iPhone was being backed up to the iCloud or iTunes, you will be able to restore from that backup and recover the data that was on the device at the time of backup once you have your iPhone repaired. Please review the attached information about iCloud and iTunes backups.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

You would have to restore the iPhone. Download the latest version of iTunes and then follow the steps in the article below to get it working again.

Try restarting the phone and trying again.

I have bought a Idjay system and I have the App on the 4S phone however the phone is not aknowledging the system. After googling we found that their is an issue with IOS7 for this system. So we tried an Itouch, its on IOS6 but doesnt work. Then tried an Ipad but the first version. Thought we had success when the Ipad seen the system connect to it. However I then went to download the App onto the Ipad but it needs IOS6 onwards and as its the first model of the Ipad the latest version is 5.1.1 so I cant download the App...
Any suggestions? do you know how to get the 4S phone to work with it as that would be the ideal scenario?

I tried to sync and upload the iOS 5.0 version to my iphone 4 all was well it was processing then it just stopped and Now my actual I phone is frozen. I have turned it off. THe phone is NOT jail broken.. all i want to do is have it return back to how it was before i started the updae version process obviously it did not take and now it is locked into plave the screen will not change.. after reboots and shut down when i turn it back on the same screeen appears the cd disc with the music note over it and the arrow pointing upwards and a picture of the small end of the charge cord that fits into the actual compute.. If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:

If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.

     Hi, my iPhone 5c shut down randomly and will not turn back on. So, I put it into recovery mode, tried updating to 8.1.2 with iTunes like 10 times. It always gives me, "an unknown error occurred (27)" I really really don't want to return it to factory settings, because I'm an idiot and didn't back it up recently.

Not sure which version my iPhone is on, but I was trying to update it to 8.1.2.
     After going through this page, I went through the vast majority of troubleshooting on this page for error 27.
     If I need to go to an apple store to fix this, that's fine. I ultimately just don't want to restore it to factory settings.

If you went through the steps in the support document about the error, then the final step is Apple Support.
Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
What can you see on the screen? Are you able to use the device? Is it just that you cannot update it? If you did put it into Recovery Mode as you indicated earlier, then you have already lost the data.
