IOS7 xcode5 Edge Animations won´t show on iPad

Hi,
i´ve just updated my development ipad and xcode to ios7 and xcode 5.
The app i´m developing uses webviews to display content – which includes images and edge animations –
embedded in one html-file using iscroll.js to swipe through (one page ould be an image, the next a Edge Animation,
separated in <li>-elements).
The Edge-Animations won´t show up, its just a blank page. However the iOS-Simulator shows everything correctly
but on the ipad the Animations just won´t show. Is this a known issue?

i´ve been on vacation – sorry for the late reply. The problem is solved, well partially.
I´ve had an error in the export-settings, which turned out not to be the problem after all, but first this:
Sorry, its the german Version. I´ve had the Framework via CDN-Option activated, which obviously could not work
if your ipad has no wireless-connection at all. You could image my embarrasement, once i´ve figured that out
But, after exporting all the animations again, this time with the right settings, it still didn´t work. I solved i with
a little trick – i´ve inserted a SIM-Card, the ipad loaded the framework and then it still worked after removing
the card again. I don´t know how the caching within an App works, but i´m a little bit confused by the fact, that
it didn´t work without the SIM-Card after replacing every Animation. But i´m confident that it will work out
somehow later in this week, i keep you posted.

I looked on Adobe's site and they "advertise" fillable forms for the iPhone and Android markets, but on the Windows Phone tab, that is mysteriously missing. lol Maybe it will come later? Meanwhile, I'll google to see if there are any PDF viewers that can handle it now. Thanks for the reply. :-)

Edge animation not working good on ipad

Hallo there,
I have a problem with my slides on contact viewer on my ipad.
I imported in every slide a simple edge animation.
But al the animation are working.
Here is my problem.
When I start the animation on slide 1 then is it working. But when I go the the second slide. Then the animation don't work.
But when I go to the 4th slide then it is working again. I don't really know what is the problem with that.
Can you guys mabye help me out?

There is a limit to how much you can do with this and best practice is to
not jam too much HTML animation into one article. Do you have a delay set
for the Edge files? Try .125 seconds.

Resolved. Had to do with the wi-fi sync not being enabled.

Ios7 upgrade friends messages won't come through ipad

I upgraded my iPad to ios7 so I could use an app that required it. Now a friends messages that used to come through my iPad will only come on my phone. My outgoing message shows but not her incoming

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Some album art won't show in iPad 1

I have an iPad 1. It's updated to iOS 5.1. My problem has to do with my music. Much has been acquired via iTunes, and some via loading and syncing to my iPad via PC. Anyway the problem is that when I view them on iPad the album artwork isn't shown for some of them (just a white box is shown) and is shown for the others.

However although iTunes shows the 'coverart' image when playing the file, neither QuickTime X nor 7 do. I'm not sure whether QuickTime 7 used to on older systems, I've seen some complaints implying that it did - but it certainly doesn't now. I don't know whether this is a bug or a 'feature'.

Apps won't show on IPad and IPod

I am technically challenged. My daughter received an IPad and we went to be able to have the same things on it that are on her IPod. When I open ITunes, I'm not seeing the listing on the left hand side where you can choose devices to sync. I thought I synced her IPad but when I check her ITunes account, the only device that shows is her IPod.
How do I get the IPad and IPod to both show the same information?

I assume that you did restore as new and did not use a backup. If you haven't done that, give it a try. But do backuo first in case it does not do any good so that you can restore the backup.
I don't think this will do anything but it can't hurt to try it, reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. No data is lost but all device settings have to be entered again.

For IE8, can I load static image instead of Edge animation (see page)?

I'm just roughing out a new site and my Edge animation isn't showing in IE8. I've googled and can't find definitive info on whether Edge 4 has support for IE8. I'm assuming not. My question is... is there a way to load a static image for IE8 so at least there is an image to fill that space? This is just going to be a huge roadblock to me continuing to use Edge unfortunately! Well if you look at the code in the url you supplied they are serving NON-IE browsers <![if !IE]> desginated by the ! mark the css and scripts files that are needed to make edge run correclty. Looking at the code in your page you don't have any of those scripts attached.

I made an anmation with Edge (2.01.268.25632) and published it as an oam file which was placed in Muse (7.1).on the Homepage. When published to BC everything works fine with all browsers.
However when the site was ftp uploaded to its hosting company (not BC) the animation does not show in Internet Explorer 11. Tried HTML export instead and ftp upload with Dreamweaver without result.
Any thoughts? Client does not want to install Chrome or Firefox Which have no problems with the animation. Thx. Henk

Edge Animation not showing up on server?

I put my Edge animation into Dreamweaver and it was working, but when I uploaded it to the server, it wasn't showing up. I uploaded all of the Edge animate assets for the animations in the Site Root folder. What files are needed for edge animations to upload successfully when they are placed in Dreamweaver?

I inserted the .oam fie that I published from Edge into Dreamweaver. I got it to work finally, but the slideshow takes a long time to load or sometimes doesn't load. I've never used an iframe before, would that be a better solution?

Adobe edge animation shows unwanted vertical scrollbar in firefox only

anybody have any idea how to lose a vertical scrollbar on a site where i built a responsive adobe edge animation. on all the other browsers the overflow: hidden works perfectly. only in firefox do i get a scrollbar showing up. little help please. the website is http://www.drotardesign.com/dd/about.html

got it - this is how you get rid of it, and thank you Moses for your kind words. Corel was right, these are the attributes that fix it. You need to load it as an iframe
just so you know, the only way to get rid of the scroller in Firefox is to load the RESPONSIVE ADOBE EDGE ANIMATION as an iFrame with these attributes:

Why won't my adobe edge animations play from the start each time they are loaded on an Adobe DPS layout?

I have an adobe DPS document with several pages, and edge animations on each page. I want each animation to play from the start when each page is opened, however, the playback seems to be very inconsistent. Some animations play from the start, others half way through, and some playback incorrectly. I want to also be able to return to each page and have the animations reload, instead of just displaying the final frame of the animation.
I have played around with the delay time which doesnt seem to fix it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why won't my Edge animation play in DPS?

I've created a very simple animation of svg elements fading from 0-100% opacity (no code) in Adobe Edge. When I import it into folio (set for for iPad) the animation would not play. When I preview it on desktop, I would only see the poster image and then quickly fade to white. From what I've read in one of the other forums, I have the Edge animation set up for retina (2048x1536), and then in InDesign: 1024, in folio: 2048; however, still no luck. I published the animation for Animate Deployment Package (oam), really can't think of anything else that might have gone wrong...

Thank you so much for for your help, I was able to download the zip file. As it turns out I wasn't using the latest edge animate and indesign. After updating everything, as well as downloading the DPS destop tool kit http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5571 I tried to open the file you sent me. I got the error message: An error has occured while generating article preview. Could not find the adobe content viewer. So I tried to download the content viewer again but still, same message. I really can't figure out why...

Edge animation to show full width once in muse

I created a responsive edge animation and was under the assumption once imported into muse it would behave the same which is no the case, how can I acomplish edge files to extend 100% width? is this something possible?

Sorry to say but there's not much going on between the two camps, Muse and Edge A that is. Like you, I subscribe to Muse but since I discovered EA...well...
Thing is, dragging the aimated button to the trigger container just overlays it which effectively hides it. Hence, it will simply not work as a trigger to launch lightbox. I myself had the same idea....but its more involved that this. As always.
A possible solution might be to design your lightbox and simply use the built in trigger for now - go ahead and publish the site like this. View your site in a browser of your choice then click on the trigger which will reveal the URL that launches the Lightbox feature. Copy this in the browser. Cheeky eh?
Then go back to your button in Edge A (select it) and add an on click event handler (look for {} to the left of the element and select click event). Using the snippets on the right-hand plane choose add URL and paste the link from the clipboard between the " " so when the button is clicked it references the lightbox. Go back to Muse and position your edge button again and publish again. Its very long winded I know. Get it? Will it work? dunno. Have I tried it? no. But the logic is faultless, because the URL trigger on your button should point to the lightbox...thats the theory anyway.
Hope this is of some help and hope it works...might as well give it a try eh?...this is how I discovered Edge A trying to animate buttons etc. In the end I decided to build my entire site using it.

Issue with multiple Edge animations in the same article. Please help!

We have 3 edge animations in our 3 page article, one in eache page. The first edge animation you view autoplays great, however when you swipe down or up the other animations just wont play. All of them set to autoplay 0.125 with transparent background. It seems that no matter which one you see first, it kills the other two. We tried importing HTML and DPS from Edge with the same results.

I just did a quick test and experienced mixed results. I placed a single edge animation on the first page of a horizontal article, then placed the same edge animation on three pages of the vertical orientation (dual-orientation folio). The edge animation shows up perfectly on the horizontal layout, but only displays on pages 1 and 3 of the vertical orientation. It does not load on page 2.
I also placed an additional Web Content Overlay on page two connecting to a website which loads fine. The edge animation shows the spinning/loading icon but nothing loads.
Sorry, not much help here just sharing similar bugs.
