Ios8.1 ITunes Store app crashes upon gifting

When I try to gift a TV episide, iTunes Store app promptly crashes. I've tried multiple fixes all of which work once and then crashing resumes. Any suggestions or wait til ios8.2?

Have you tried resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.
If yes, do as JimHdk suggested and report it to Apple.

  • ITunes Store App Crashes 5s

I have a new 5s and I am unable to open the iTunes Store App. Looking on the feed I was only able to see one answer. I have restarted my phone and I have signed out of and back into iTunes with no luck. App crashes within a sec of trying to open.  Need some help!
    Thanks

    Hi dsbrew1,
First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store. Once signed out, force close the iTunes Store application and restart your device. After you have restarted, go ahead and sign back in.
If the above did not resolve your issue, you may need to restore your device:

  • ITunes Store App Crashes! Help!!

Installed the iOS 7 GM on my iPhone 5 last week and everything was working fine. Yesterday, I tried to open the iTunes Store app and it crashes every single time. It didn't happen until yesterday when the update went live, so could it just be overloaded servers? It opens on my iPad 3 (also with iOS 7) but just crashes on my iPhone. Is anyone else experiencing this?

But still, it's the current version right? Does it matter when I installed it? I plug my phone into my Mac, launch iTunes and it tells me I am running the latest software. If there were no updates between the GM and the public release then isn't it essentially the same thing?

  • The iTunes Store app crashes every time I try to purchase a song on my 2nd generation iPod touch

Every time I try to purchase a song and hit buy, the app closes. I've tried restarting my iPod several times but it didn't help. Any ideas?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • ITunes Store App Crash on iOS 7

I have an iPhone 5 with with iOS 7 and that's the only app that crashes on me; when I attempt to open it the white screen comes up and it just kinda "explodes" (literally) on the screen and crashes.  Is is a known bug or would I have to do something like a phone restore(which I'd dread to do again)?
I also have a 4th generation iPad running the same iOS and there's no problems opening the same app in question.
    Any help would be appreciated...

The first thing to do is please post in the correct forum. This forum is for Intel Based iMacs, you have a MS Windows machine and are having an issue with iTunes for Windows. That forum is located at:

  • ITunes Store app crashes in films

New iPad air ... I have tried all the fixes to no avail .... When I load itunes app it works fine until I try and select a film at which point it immediately crashes and closes down ... Any suggestions ?

    Hi Lanley,
Have a look around the forums, it's not just you. I and a lot of others are experiencing the same issue with the new Air.
It's especially bad in Landscape mode.
Don't bother with factory resets ect, they don't work.
All being well it's just a software issue that Apple will bring an update out for shortly.
Can't imagine they will take long as 1, it doesn't look great on their flagship product and 2, it will start to affect their iTunes revenue.
Annoying as he'll though. You would have thought someone might have tested the Air in landscape????

  • ITunes Store App crashing after iOS7 update

Hi. Yesterday I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7. Now every time I try to open the app it crashes. It just won't open. I tried signing out and gorse restarting my iPhone but no luck. Any suggestions ?

Hey. I solved the problem by erasing everything in my iPhone and setting it as new. However if you don't want to lose everything try erasing all content and settings on the settings. Then restoring it from a backup

  • ITunes Store App for iOS 7 Crashing

    Hi all,
Since upgrading to iOS 7, the iTunes Store app on my iPhone 5 crashes upon startup.
I've tried logging out and logging in, rebooting between loggin out and in, making sure the app is shut down from running in the background, and so on. No dice...
The App Store app works just fine... it's just the iTunes Store app.
Any thoughts or people with similar issues?

    Thanks, BillRe2455
This was driving me crazy all night and now all is fine!   Great tip.

  • ITunes Store app keeps crashing

I downloaded ios7 on my iPhone 4 and now my iTunes Store app keeps crashing and won't even load. Please help! I've tried restarting my phone and closing the app! Nothing's worked.

    try this:
From home screen, go to settings - > general -> reset - > reset all settings.
You may lose your wallpaper to the default wallpaper, but none of your content will be erased.
I'm willing to bet this will solve your problem.
    Hope this helps!

  • My iTunes Store app will not open, keeps crashing.

I cannot open iTunes Store app on my phone. It will open for a split second and close immediately.

    Hi there SarahSinisi,
You may want to try force closing all open apps and resetting the device as an initial troubleshooting step. Take a look at the articles below for more information.

  • IOS 7 iTunes Store keeps crashing any advice to help?

My iTunes keeps crashing every time I try to open it I have rebooted it by holding the home button and lock button but it will not do anything to help and I have tried to turn it off and on about 10 times and plugged it into my computer and updated my iTunes on my mac.. It's really frustrating and help please

Have you tried closing the iTunes store app via the multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the iTunes store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • ITunes Festival app crashes at startup with IOS 4.3.3 (iPAD2)

    Hello,
The iTunes Festival app crashes and stay minimized at startup with IOS 4.3.3 (8J2) on my iPAD2. I was perfectly working previously. I tried basic troubleshooting (i.e. reboot the iPad, uninstall/reinstall the app), but nothing works ... Any suggestions ? Thanks.
PS: I noticed the same behaviour with the application called "Pilotifant".

What version of iOS are you running? I'm going to bet that you do NOT have a 3Gs. You have a 3G. The highest version of iOS that can run is 4.2.1.
If you did not save a copy of the older facebook at that could run on 4.2.1 on your computer that you can sync back, then you're out of luck. The newest version (and the only one available in the app store) will not run on 4.2.1.
You will have to resort to using the mobile web page in Safari or find a 3rd party app that will run on your phone.

  • ITunes Store app for iPad is blank

The problem is only on the ipad and not the ipod.  The iTunes Store app has a blank grey or black screen depending upon the selection (music, movies, tv shows, etc)

Yes I think you have the solution MelissaA1974.
Here are the steps that I took (thanks to the technical support folks at the Genius Bar at the Rideau Apple store):  Key was re-setting settings(the rest was to force the recognition of the change - the first time reset settings was tried it did not work) so your suggestions on Safari may be right on for future problems of this nature.
    1. Under Settings / General / Reset select Reset All Settings
    2. Under iTunes & App Store sign out of your ID
    3. Under Wi-Fi disconnect
    4. Reconnect W-Fi
    5. Sign back in to iTunes
My current Safari privacy and secuirty setting is to block cookies from third parties and advertisers.  I had previously selected Always.  It had not been the problem in the past but with updates, etc.  just might have been the prroblme.
