IOS8 MAP APP ERROR WITH FAVORITES

After updating my iPhone 5s to iOS 8
All my bookmarks in map application went to favorites, I also saved some new locations in favorites but no one of them works.
The problem is that I try to open a favorite location and it can't find it(doesn't pin). Although If I write the address in the search it will find it.
I made a reset settings (in settings-General) but still nothing.
Any advice? Help me please:)

I am trying to use the iPhone map app. I tap an address in Contacts; the map app opens with a pin at the desired address. When I hit the car icon, I get a message: Turn On Location Services to Allow Maps to Determine Your Location
Location Services is turned on. I have turned it off and back on. I've hard re-booted. No change. I can't get directions!

Ios8 Health App Work with FItbit

WIll the FItbit App and IOS8 Health App

I asked Fitbit and this is the response I got.

So How do we make that request of Apple to authorize and draw over data from fitbit. I store calories, sleep and activity through their app and don't want to have a bunch of new apps to do what this on app does, although I want to use HEALTH...

Office 2013, Mail app error with W8.1

Was recommended to repost in here, hope someone can provide a solution.
New to this forum, have searched and not found anything in regards to my actual issue.
Problem,
When you install Office 2013 Home and Business onto Windows 8.1 either an upgrade to 8.1 or a fresh install, I've found the mail program in Control Panel won't open.
You can't call apon the program from RUN or CMD, you can't even call apon the Mail app from Program files\office 15\mlcfg.clp right click and select Open in Control Panel.
This issue has arisen with Windows 8.1.
scenario, New Dell OptiPlex 3020 & 9020, You Install Office 2013 Home & Business either OEM or the OEM Builder pack, before or after then run the Windows 8.1 upgrade from the Store, attempt to open the Mail app in Control Panel and the
Mail app ceases to respond.
Yet, you are able to open the Mail app before the upgrade.
I just did a fresh install for a customer of Windows 8.1 OEM on an ACER laptop, tested with OEM media and the OEM Builders Install package, 32x & 64x installs and both failed to open the Mail app in Control Panel.
Actually the first install I performed didn't install the Mail app icon in Control Panel at all.
The only way I've found to rectify this issue is to run a full repair from Programs in Control Panel, which takes a while to run.

Map app to mark places for trip?

i am really in need of an application that will let me /mark/ a series of places and retain this data so that i know where this marked place is when i travel.
for instance i am taking a trip to paris and i would really like to put my "places to see" in a map that will let me access this while browsing something like google maps.
does this exist already? is there some site in particular that would be good to ask this?

i started researching online and i have to run some more tests tonight when i get a minute.
i heard there is a "Mac Map Apps" coming with iOS6 and i looked on the Google site and i see that there are a bunch of goodies - including an ability to make a MAP always available even without internet connect but his seems only available on droid. i think this is called Google Maps and i downloaded this to my phone from the site even though a lot of the stuff only seems available on droid?
can you help me with how things stand now for me?
i have a "Maps" app on my iPhone (i think it came with it but not sure) and i now downloaded the "Google Maps" application. both show up as icons on my home screen now.
are both these google products and both do the same thing or are their differences?
also, have you tested either of the products in the links by any chance?
i am tempted to d/l iOS6 as soon as it comes out but since i am going on a trip overseas i may wait until i get back to do this...

How do I look at my favorites in the Maps app with the new iOS8 software?

I can't find any button that leads to my Favorites/Bookmarks in the Maps app. There used to be an icon or something that I could click on but I don't see anything anymore since I got the new iOS8 software. Please help!

In iOS 8 you find your favorite locations by using the search bar. If you tap that, the Favorites section will come up and you can then tap it and see your favorites and select from them. See this page -

i found a solution for this issue when google maps shows you an empty map error message cannot reach server. Click on the icon next to search and you are supposed to be presented with your profile, if not u will have an empty space. click on that space, then the "gear " Icon and logout.
restart your iphone then strat google maps again and log back in.
apparently this is happening when you change your google acount password or enble or disable 2 step verification.

Updated my iPad 2 to ios6 and wish I didn't. Lost the wonderful maps app and I'm miserable. Is there a replacement app coming from google with street view for iPad?

Looking to the community for a suggestion for the best replacement map app for my ipad2. I regret "upgrading" to ios6 when I lost the old maps app. I used it daily and had perfect functionality for my purposes. Now I wish I'd researched it more before I clicked '"install." Is there a google replacement coming soon with street view that works like the old one? Is apple working on fixing the existing app to include the features of the old app? So sad....wish I could go back!

I tried the google Maps app on my iPad2 but it looked terrible. Blurry when expanded to 2X, clumsy and not intuitive. Terrible for my purposes and way different from the old Google Maps app. Per International Business Times (12/13/12):
"While iOS users may be rejoicing at the return of their favorite navigation app, it should be noted that Google Maps has not yet launched for the iPad. The version currently available in Apple’s App Store is only for the iPhone, and Apple Maps will still act a the default Maps App on iPhones even after Google Maps has been installed."
Perhaps it'll look/behave better when an iPad version is eventually released. But thank you anyway.

Maps app on iPhone5 with iOS 7.1 is not announcing directions with sound turned on

My Maps app has stopped announcing directions. iPhone 5, iOS 7.1 with latest updates. Location services is turned on. Sounds are turned on. Volume is set to Loud in the Maps app. Cellular Data is turned on for Maps. I tried resetting my phone per the instructions online and nothing has helped so far. Any ideas?

After much trial and error I finally figured this out. It has to do with the starting location. The starting location must be "Current Location" in order for Maps to announce turn-by-turn directions. In other words you have to start by entering your destination address, and then select "directions to here", which sets the from location to "current location". I had dropped a pin on my home, which is the same starting address as "current location", so should have given me the same result, but for some reason when you type in the actual address of your current location for the starting location, it does not activate the voice control for turn-by-turn navigation. I have tried this two or three times and every time when I enter the starting location, Maps does not announce directions, but when I let it calculate my current location it does. Even when location services are turned on for Maps in both cases. Can't understand the logic here or why Aplle would program it this way, but it is what it is. If anyone else is having this issue, I hope this helps.

I do not think I missed anything installing NW CE 7.1, but this error makes me think that some plug-in was erroneously left out of the install.
Incidentally, I can continue onward and build an app (this is obviously a tutorial), but when I try to deploy I get the following error:

Further developments: As you may note from the error message, DS is looking for com.sap.ide.metamodel.core.services.eclipse in both the C: and the E: drive at the same time. In fact, this file exists in the E: drive subdirectory listed, so I obviously have an error with two drive designations being concatenated. Does anyone know how I can change the lookup directory for this dependency (or any dependency)?

Crystal xi app terminates with no errors

I've installed Crystal XI Professional on a Windows 2003 R2 SP1 server. I am migrating reports from Crystal Reports 8.5 to Crystal XI on this server. I only have Crystal XI installed on the server, though. When I first attempted to open the reports the detail screen of the reports came up, but when I attempted to preview the reports the app closed with no errors. I have very few reports that were visible without being rebuilt. So this is what I've done to determine the problem:
1. I rebuilt a report from scratch in XI. The report had 3 subreports in it. Still not able to preview.
2. I applied Service Packs 1-4 and 2 hot fixes to the app. Now I was able to preview the main report and one very simple subreport. If I tried previewing the other 2 subreports the app would close. If I tried navigating to the subreport within the main report by paging over the app closed once it got to the page containing the subreport.
3. I separated the subreport and began to dissect it one piece at a time to see where it could be failing. I didn't get anywhere closer to the answer this way.
4. I created the subreport from scratch one field, etc. at a time. I first added a field and a simple formula to report expert. The report ran fine, and the correct data was viewable. Then I saved. Then I added another field and a date factor to the report expert formula, refreshed, and it was perfect. I saved it. Then I added 2 more fields, refreshed, perfect, so I saved. Then I added to the report expert formula a phrase that basically says to look for this particular field if 0.00 is not in it. The field is a number field, and this is how it is set up on the report in 8.5. After I added this and refreshed, the application closed. I didn't save the report before I refreshed it, so that portion wasn't saved with the report when it crashed. I reopened the report after the app closed on me, but I couldn't view the preview section just the detail section. The app continued to close each time I clicked on preview. This was the same report I was just previewing. This is what I discovered...
5. I was able bring up the details section of the report, just not able to preview it without the app closing. So, I deleted all the fields and started from scratch again. This time I saved & closed the app between each change. What I discovered is that once I save and close the app, I am not able to view the report in the preview section. The app closes each time.
Since I've applied all Service Packs and fixes, I'm not sure what else to do. I know this is lengthy, but I wanted you to fully understand what was going on. Please help, if you can.

Please provide the following information:
1)Did you manually un-install and then install Crystal reports again.
If no,then please try that first.
To manually un-install remove CR from Add and Remove and then remove the keys(if any) from the registry editor which are related to CR.
2)Are you able to open/create and preview the reports on any other machine except this one.
If yes, then would suggest you to copy all the set-up files from that machine to this machine and then try again to preview the reports.
3)What are the other softwares/packages instaleed on this machine.I mean any .Net dev environment kind of thing.
4)Are you able to preview the reports properly on the machine where 8.5 was installed(in CR 8.5).If not tried then could you please try to install CR XI on this machine and check.

App-V 5 SP1: Error with SAP GUI 7.3

We work on a project to use SAP GUI 7.3 with latest fixes with App-V 5. This works fine so far with the exception of only one transaction in SAP - SWDD. This windows shows no icons on top. After waiting for a while this transaction stops working and SAP
GUI crashes. SAP support says it's an error with App-V. So we tried to find some error with process monitor. We are able to see many of these errors:

The Name not found indicates that it is looking for a registry key (location is the path) and not finding it. That may not be a problem, as it usually traverses multiple locations (HKCU and / or HKLM, native and virtual..).
First question is;
On a machine with SAP installed natively - is there an entry named;
HKLM\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3BE786A0-0366-4F5C-9434-25CF162E475E}\ExtendedErrors
or
HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3BE786A0-0366-4F5C-9434-25CF162E475E}\ExtendedErrors
If yes, does it exist in the package?

I bought an iPhone 5s in China and the maps app is different. When I go to the US will I be able to use Apple's native app or will I be stuck with this one?

So I wanted to ask a question that my googlefoo couldn't help me solve.
I bought an iphone at a reputable electronics market here in China and it is an AT&T model phone. I bought it at one of the grey market locations because they were sold out elsewhere. I contacted a friend at AT&T to make sure it is a legit AT&T model. The phone is great and everything works perfectly including maps. But maps are done by Autonavi here in China, not Apple. I downloaded the Mavericks update on my mac and tried some of the new maps features and they wouldn't work with my phone. That's okay since I live in China now but I'll be going back to the USA soon and I wonder what will happen. Will it update the app to Apple's native one or stay with Autonavi. Autonatvi does not have the flyover features and it is not robust in the USA.
Who can help me out here? Has anyone purchased a 5, 5c, or 5s in China and gone elsewhere? Did the maps app change?

tl;dr my china iphone has autonavi for maps not apple, when I go to the usa will I get the native app?

I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. It must be definitely something related to the carrier since I was abroad few days ago and everything worked well.
If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport" it replies it cannot locate it)
I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
Perhaps iOS Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
Use Google Maps instead
BTW, I'm surprised how much Apple might prostrate towards hard power Governments.... No matter what, money are always on top!

Is there a way for the Yosemite maps app to add address to an existing contact (in contacts app) instead of creating new contact record with blank name (not useful)?

I was using the maps app in yosemite to look up an address, once I was able to verify the address, I wanted to add that address to an existing contact record in the contacts app. When I clicked on the option to add address to contacts, it unfortunately creates a new record with the address in it, however, the rest of the contact is blank.
My question is: is there a way to prompt the user (me), to select whether they want to create a new contact or add it to an existing contact?
