IOS8 old page appears in safari

IT is not a feature that random old page appears for a few seconds when i open safari before last page appears. Can you fix it please?

Many ISP's are serving pages from cached data. You should call your provider and ask them what to do to get a "fresh" page.
They may give you newer DNS locations that may help.
Meanwhile try adding a question mark (?) at the end of the URL:
http://apple.com becomes http://apple.com/?

OOPS! Too quick on the trigger to ask that question without trying anything. Sorry. Solved it by touching the bookmark icon.

• IPad 1 - safari pulls days old pages when going between pages and sometimes drops out

Does anyone have a problem with Safari whereby, you go from one we page to another and when going back to a previous page, Safari shows a days old page? In addition, Safari will drop out to the 'desktop' at times for apparent reason. Doesn't matter if the we page is a simple page or one with video. This all started with Apple pushing their latest iOS. Apple wants to charge $30 for you to ask about this problem but it's their iOS that pushed on their product. Like I stated, it worked fine before their latest iOS push.

Jesus H Christ this is still driving me up the wall, i can't believe everyone is just accepting this. Isn't there a way to fix this? Can we at least have an option to turn this OFF?? Reloading a page everytime i go back is such a waste of time/bandwidth/my nerves when i am in the middle of a page

• Safari keeps opening old pages

Safari keeps opeing old pages even though I have closed them. It seems like I have several versions of safari open, but I don't think I do. I just did the latest software update and the problem continues.

Cdf15,
You can empty the caches in Safari by pressing Option+Command+E keys. This will likely stop the behavior.
You might have to remove Safari plist files from User Library (might be hidden hold down option key under Finder window Go Menu>Library>Preferences>com.apple.Safari.plist.
Place plist on desktop or in Trash without emptying trash, then reopen Safari. This will recreate a new plist.
Finally you can "Reset Safari" which will remove various Safari settings. "Reset SafarI" is available under the "Safari" Menu…
Hope this helps, Greg

• Old pages in Safari on iPad

When i swipe back in Safari i sometimes get old sites not the one i had last. Why is that?

Same here. After clicking the BACK button in Safari I get old copies. I am using Ipad 16GB wifi-only.
Issue started with IOS5. It worked fine before.
When the old page is shown, a refresh helps as workaround. Untill Applie fixes it.

When I first turn on my computer and click Safari, a blank page appears. I use to have MY MSN as the opening page on Safari. Don't know what happened, but how do I restore it back to the way it was? I've tried everything, I know it has to be something easy, but can't figure it out. Thanks for any help.

• Safari totally messed up after 10.4.7 update - page appears frozen!

So messed up that I'm posting this with FireFox.
What is happening is this:
With this site and with MacFixIt.com, it appears that Safari has locked up. The blue progress in the address bar stays put, as if Safari is still loading the page, although the spinning daisy is not spinning. I try to click on other tabs or on the link bar and nothing (apparently) happens. I try to click and type in the address field and nothing happens. But, and this is a big but, when I grab the resize handle and resize the Safari window, then I can see that the page loaded correctly. Another thing that does work when this happens is the scroll bars. I click in the scroll bar and nothing happens. Only when I go to resize the page, I see that Safari actually scrolled down when I clicked.
Now, this only appears to happen at MacFixIt.com's main page and the Apple support discussions page. I went to several different pages and this problem did not appear.
What is going on here? I really hate when Apple posts an update and some essential program gets all messed up.
Antonio

Okay, never mind. It happened again.
This time I restarted my computer and launched Safari and got the exact same behavior. So, I launched Snapz Pro X and made a movie of the weirdness to show you all. Please watch this:
http://www.amrosario.com/safari_PoS.mov
As you can see, the page only refreshes when I change the size of the window with the resize tab at the bottom of the window. You can also see that all of the text fields don't work.
Now, what happened was that I ran Snapz to make the above movie and now Safari is responding as normal.
This is NOT normal.
What's up with this?

• Safari loads old page when clicking "Refresh" or "Reload"

Hello Everyone,
I am using the latest version of Safari (4.0.3).
When I am viewing a webpage that contains data that is updated frequently (for example, this page in Apple Forums) and I click on "Reload" current page to view the page newly updated, Safari loads the old page...not a new one.
Anyone having the same problem? Or, perhaps, I have a setting that may need to be changed?
Your thoughts are much appreciated.
Thanks,
joe

Greetings,
It sounds like your cache isn't being purged, or there's something preventing it from being purged, so try this:
1. Go to Home/Library/Cookies and delete the Cookies.plist file.
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
3. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Web Page Previews and delete the contents of that folder.
4. If you don't want to use the Top Sites feature, open Terminal and paste in this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -int 2
5. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
6. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
7. Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete these files (if you have them):
Downloads.plist
History.plist
Form Values
LastSession.plist
WebpageIcons.db
Then Repair Disk Permission, restart Safari and see if the problem continues.

• Old pages re-appearing.

Hi,
We are three developers working on Dreamweaver 8, and 10
Contributors working on Adobe Contribute CS3. A lot of the users
complain that old pages are reverting back.
Has anyone seen something like this? Some of the Dreamweaver
users are not checking in their files. But the assumption is that
contribute users won't be able to edit checked out files.
Please help with pinpointing this problem.
Thanks

I have the same problem. The edited page appears online, but
when I navigate to the site with Contribute, the older version
appears.

• Safari loading old pages?

Anyone else noticing Safari opening old pages on forums? While visiting several of my daily forums today, I noticed it loading pages that were from my visits last night or yesterday. I'm pretty sure I cleared my history last night, so it must be reading some invalid cookie data?
If you want to look for this, pay attention to forum pages that load possibly after you post. I noticed this twice on two different forums.
Anyone else having this happen?

THIS IS THE WILDEST THING I HAVE SEEN YET!!!
Earlier this morning (at 9:05am), I replied to a post on a forum FROM MY PC UPSTAIRS.
Later today (at 12:36pm), I was back on that forum FROM MY IPAD DOWNSTAIRS.
I read some threads, and at a point, I backed up to the forum index.
IT SHOWED AS IF I HAD JUST POSTED the comment (from 9am) 19 SECONDS EARLIER!!! (meaning, the page looked like nothing had happened on the forum for nearly 4 hours) There had been HUNDREDS of posts/replies/threads during that time.
REMEMBER, THIS WAS POSTED FROM A SEPERATE LOCATION AND SEPERATE DEVICE COMPLETELY - A PC EVEN!! I was on a DIFFERENT device many hours later. From two seperated devices that aren't connected in any way, shape or form?!? The iPad was downstairs charging.
How is that even possible?!? Can anyone even come up with a guess on this one?!? I haven't got a clue!!

• Why did iMUNIZATOR page appear out of nowhere on Safari 3.1?

I was accessing the food channel and iMUNIZATOR pop up page appeared. I read on google that this is because of a weakness of Safari. Do I have to do anything and is it harmful?

It automatically open for me too when I was at foodnetwork.com. My guess is that it's something on their side. I sent them an email. We'll see what they have to say.

• Firefox 3.6.26 on Mac OSX, Youtube search window has vanished. I cannot search youtube for video. If I use Safari to open Youtube the page appears as it used to with Firefox--that is with the search window. Whats the fix?

# Question
Firefox 3.6.26 on Mac OSX, Youtube search window has vanished. I cannot search youtube for video. If I use Safari to open Youtube the page appears as it used to with Firefox--that is with the search window.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

• Suddenly my safari page appears all black

suddenly while surfing my safara page appears all black and now even when i log in and log out the safari appli it is still black...??
whats happening ? what am i supposed to do to recover my safari ?

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History) - it's 'Clear Cookies and Data' on iOS 5
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My macbook seems to be going crazy. At certain points (and for hours) I get the oh snap page on chrome, safari doesnt work, macbook wont let me create any files or for example upload music to itunes. I restored my mac so im sure its not a malware problem. The only thing that solves it is switching off and on , but sometimes I have to do that for 6-7 times before its ok or wait for a few hours. Some help please

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.
