IP address changes when using webmail on my ipad.

I can sign in to my webmail however whenever I try to send an email or delete emails etc it disconnects me with a message to say "IP address has changed". It means I cannot use my email account successfully when away from home. Any ideas please?

Check Settings>Messages>Show Subject Field and make sure it's set to "Off".

We are developing an application which has a ServerSocket, which is started in one machine. That machine is a laptop and it may change the network it is connected to. So the situation is the following:
- The laptop connects to network A and has a IP 192.168.1.1 (for example).
- The ServerSocket is started and it's bound to that IP. It is blocked waiting for new connections, with ServerSocket.accept()
- The laptop changes the network (to network B) and gets a new IP 192.168.100.2
- ServerSocket is still running (blocked in the accept() method), but it is bound to an IP address which is no longer correct.
The problem we have found is how to detect that the IP has changed so that we can "fix" the ServerSocket and bind it to the new IP address.
We have though in one solution: from time to time get the localhost IP address of the laptop and check if it's the same used in ServerSocket. If not, then close the ServerSocket and open a new one.
However, this is not a wonderful solution. Do you know if there is a best solution to solve this?

So you don't have a problem.

Problems creating a new folder when using webmail

Hi, has anyone else out there encountered problems when trying to create a new folder when using webmail ?
It just seems to create a new folder called 'New Folder' and misses out the step that would normally allow you to rename it to a title of your choice.
A whole list of folders called 'New Folder' is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
It did used to work as I've used it many times in the past.....but then so did a lot of things before the 'new' and 'improved' version of BT Mail came along.
Any help or suggestions gratefully received (apart from the obvious solution, switch to a mail client).
Maybe it needs flagging to the 'techies'......they must be really busy trying to sort out all the so called teething problems.

What should happen is that when you click on the + for add a new folder a box should appear, somewhere amongst the folder list. (The list is in alphabetical order so if you have a number of folders previous to the letter N it maybe out of view ) .
The box will have the text " New folder-X," ( see below for the explantion for the -X ) you then delete the text, type in the name you want, hit enter and there it is.
If you don't notice the box, possibly because it's off screen further down the list, you then open and close the list, or log out the next time you view the list it, or they, are simply named New folder.
So you now have umpteen " New folders ", here's how to rename them.
Place your cursor on the word New Folder in your folder list, you will see a little box appear with" New folder-X," x being the number of the new folders you have created., eg -0, -1, -2 etc.
Then double click on it, you should then get a larger box with New folder-X.
Delete the text in the box, type in the name you want for the new folder, hit enter there's you newly named folder.

We have a case where very rarely an item might have been miscategorised so the brand is manually changed. We want this dimension to be rigid to speed up ProcessUpdate.
We do a ProcessFull each night, so it will get corrected then, but during the hourly updates we would just like to ignore this error if possible?

Partner address change issue using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE

I'm trying to change partner address in an order using the Bapi BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE. I have searched the known threads but did not found a solution.
my requrirement is to change partner address without passing address number to 'PARTNERADDRESSES' parameter
This is brief about my requirement.
Our requirement is sales order executin from ECC6 to ECC5 i.e. when a sales order is created in ECC6 it should be created in ECC5 when we save order in ECC6, so in a similar way even changes done in EC6 sales order should be reflectedin ECC5 (whichi includes ATP also) so during this process a user can add additional line items with different ship_to party address, so for newly added line item in ECC6 during VA02 (change process) address number will not be there in ECC5 so i can not pass address number in ECC5 during address change using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE.
since stock is not maintained in ECC6 we are doing above process i.e. sales order execution from ECC6 to ECC5.
so in order to change partner address for newly added line item in ECC6 i will not be having adrees number in ECC5 so can any body plz let me know how to change address of a parter without passing address number to 'PARTNERADDRESSES' parameter of
'BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE'.
If any body has faced this and found a solutin for this plz let me know.

Sound Preferences Changed when using HDMI - Yosemite

Mid 2010, 27'' iMac
3.6 GHz Intel Core i5
14G RAM
When using the HDMI output (from my iMac, into my Lenovo laptop) my default sound output preferences are being changed since upgrading to Yosemite.
I have an external sound card for my monitor speakers. the sound card is my default in and output.
When I insert the HDMI into my laptop (and use the iMac as an external monitor for my laptop) Yosemite changes the default sound output to the iMac internal speakers. I've used the keyboard to (cmd + F2) and toggled between the laptop external display and iMac home screen and can see the sound output changed to internal speakers)
Appreciate this is quote a specific issue
Any ideas if there is a work around for this?

Please try this first to enable Speakers in Playback devices as follows:
1. Right click speaker icon (bottom right hand corner)
2. Select Playback devices
3. Right click HDMI sound
4. Enable it
5. Click Apply/Ok

Color space change when using photoshop elements plug in

When I select photo and edit with photoshop elements, Aperture makes a copy of the file as expected, but I can see the image color/hue etc. has changed, why? Is there some setting I am missing? The color of the image shouldn't change, should it? Just doesn't make sense!

Where do you see the color change of the copy?
In the thumbnail or preview before it is send to the external edtor?
When the image is opened in the external editor?
Or after it is send back from the editor?
I do not see any color changes when I use PS CS5; it may help to see a screenshot.

Plan changing when using variables instead of constant

I have a query, when run with the constant values uses a better plan. But when these constants are replaced with variables, plan is changing and taking much longer time to complete. I don't want the query to use a different plan when using the variables in place of constants.

Probably you got caught by bind variable peeking (if the plans are same for both variables)
If you have default 10g Statistics gathering job it means you are collecting histograms

Project changes when using different pc's

ok i had using pro 4 a project saved on pc one
i then opened it up on another pc [pc 2] where i added some title pages
then saved the project on pc2 and copied the whole saved folder back to pc one
when i opened the copied project on pc one [using pc one] the title fonts have changed
is there some issue when using more than one pc to work on one project ???
oh i forgot pc one = win xp and pc2 = windows 7 !!!

ok the font used was MV Boli
on both pc when i look in titler they both say MV Boli
they just look totaly different
other thing different between the two is :- the font templates used and saved on pc 2
are not showing up when opend on pc 1

Some icloud contacts changes when using mail in lion

I'm using icloud contacts on my iphone ios6 ipad ios6 and macbook 10.7.
All contacts are sorted by forename and last name in one line like -Steve Jobs- in one line
Some of my contacs changes when sending mail from mail 5.3 on my macbook.
It adds an extra last name and my icloud looks like -Steve Jobs-Jobs-.
and the contact gets sortet by letter j insted of s.
My mail is setup to sync gmail (mail only).
I have no other sync for contacts than icloud.
I located the problem to my mac so I deleted all accounts and restarted mail.
But promblem remains.
Is it possible to completly delete mail and all settings from libary and start fresh?

Has anyone wired in the BerkeleyDB Master Election system to trigger IP address takeovers?
On a new master taking over, it would take over the VIP that clients use. At the same time, all the slaves would debind from it.
I was thinking of just wiring a configurable shell script to be run on completion of a master election. The master would run vip-up.sh, and all of the slaves would run vip-down.sh.
Each node would also have a 'real' IP. They would all add-remote-site each other with those static IPs. Only our own clients would use the virtual IP for communication.
Thoughts?
