IP Camera Never Connects

Hi,
I have an IP camera to view my store via browser. It works on my Mac and on my Windows XP system. For some reason, on my Windows 7 machine, it would load the page, the video space white with the Quicktime logo in the center with a play button/circling arrow, text, and then an arrow for more options. In this case, it would say connecting but it would never connect. How do I get around this problem?

Well, my guess is that it's something related to the environmental conditions as the 5000 series is not an outdoor capable camera.
What are the conditions like? If I had to guess... I'd say it's an over-temperature condition.

I found that if you open iMage Capture App that seems to trigger iPhoto to open and thew camera is connected. At least that happens with my camera. Good luck.

IChat waiting "OK" click for ever, never connecting

Hello,
Since my upgrade to Tiger (10.4), iChat changed behaviour when my powerbook awakes. Previously, it would connect by itself, and I would be always on line for my buddies to reach me. Now, for some reason, it seems impatient, and only after a couple seconds, it will go for the alert window "Unable to connect to AOL" (or similar), and wait my clicking OK forever.
Obviously, in the meantime, the network had been put available, but as iChat's waiting for an answer, it never connects.
This is VERY annoying, as my buddies tell me I'm never online now (except if I think to go to iChat and click OK, and then connect by hand myself, selecting "available" in the buddy list window local menu, which I usually don't).
Anyone has a trick to make iChat a little more patient when attempting a connection?

iChat will start up when you restart the computer if the item in the Video section of the Preferences is set to "Automatically start iChat if Camera is ON"
It wll also start up if it an item in your System Preferences > Accounts > Your Accounts > Login items tab
There is a setting in the General section of the iChat Preferences to:
1) Set your Status as Off line when Quitting"
2) What to do for Fast User Switching
3) What to do when returning from Away.
Have you changed the Ports in the Mac firewall if you set them up under Panther and updated rather than installed ?
You now have to set the protocols for the ports. Settings brought forward from PAnther opens up the ports in the TCP Protocol and iChat need most of them in UDP.

Even the applications that came with the phone have never connected to the internet, I have made updates one after another now Am on v11.84 and still java applications not working. Am I missing something or any body who had a similar problem and got it fixed. Help me please. Just one more thing the browser is connecting fine only other applications are not working.

If you've forgotten the passcode to unlock the iPad then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via a different computer then :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

Your IMEI number is on the box the phone came in. Your carrier also has a record of your phone's IMEI number.

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

I am doing several re-installs.
I installed FireFox 3.6.8 and ThunderBird 3.1.2 on a fresh install of Windows XP Home SP3 x32.
All Windows updates and IE8, etc were done first after the WinXP install.
IE8 works fine.
Firefox can connect to the internet to view webpages, but NOT do a check for a newer version.
(by going, on the main menu at the top, to Help --> Check for updates...)
Neither can Tbird.

Another computer, same 'build' (different hardware, but WinXP SP3, etc) using a connection from the same router going out to the internet works fine, so it is not an overall connection problem outside of the individually affected computer.
There is not yet any anti-virus nor firewall, etc installed that could be blocking things, except for Windows built in firewall, and there is no blocking action showing. Disabling it did not solve the issue.
6 hours of searching has not found an answer. Trying some of the search results just to see has not proven to be successful.

Try this, go to tools, add-ons, extensions. if you have more than one (the latest) Java consoles, uninstall them. You only need the latest console and it should match the Java Platform in Plugins.
I had a VERY similar problem displaying weatherunderground. It would not display the pages correctly and I would get pages of errors that stated
"window.addEvent is not a function" I spent the last two hours fixing this problem. All I did was remove the 6.0.18, 6.0.19, 6.0.20 Java consoles from my 3.6.8 Firefox. After a FF restart, no more errors.
There should be more information in FF when you update Java. No one tells you that you should go in and delete the older consoles.

My cousin isn't recieving my text messages. We never text through imessage because she is never connected to WIFI. Now, when I text her, it is sending through imessage but she isn't recieving them.

My cousin recently got an Ipad. Ever since then, when we text through our iphones, our thread is through imessage, and when I send her a text, it says delivered, but she isn't recieving them. She insists she has imessage turned off on both devices. She doesn't use imessage because she is never connected to wifi and doesn't want to use her data, so that is why we text through regular texting (green and white). I don't know if this has anything to do with her setting up her ipad, but my texts to her started sending through imessage only right after she set up the new device. My texts are being delivered somewhere because after I text her, it says "delivered" I can also recieve texts from her, she just can't see mine. Again, she said imessage is not activated on either of her devices, so I have no idea what the problem is. She is able to text other people with iphones just fine. We both have an iphone 5S, and she just got a used ipad mini. PLEASE HELP!!

It is no wonder she is not receiving your messages if she has iMessage turned off in her iPad.
For her to receive iMessages on the iPad, she needs to turn iMessage ON in her iPad and then she needs to be connected to the internet in order to receive them. This connection can go through WiFi or through cellular data if her iPad has this functionality, but those two requirements are a must.
1. iMessages ON
2. iPad connected to Wifi or cellular data.

In past, when I connected USB cable it tarted syncing... now it shows grey IPhone so it knows it's connected, but doesn't let me select it. I keeps going to the store and never "responds" so I have to Force Quit each time.
I tried using Bluetooth and it almost worked but then said the iPhone didn't support my MacBook. ?!?
I figure everything is so automated (old term from an old guy) that I've missed something. I miss the Apple 2e's and c's sometimes. I have installed Camera Window in my Windows 8.1 laptop. The moment I invoke Camera window, there is a popup which shows . "Cannot detect Camera, Check connection to camera, then retry. I do not have this issue in my iPAD though. Has anyone come across this issue..?Thanks

I'm in the process of trying to get this information for a client. Even with a paid AppleCare agreement, the only answer I'm getting is "look in the forums" and "look on the developer site" (although I have to give credit to the Tier-1 rep who's trying to help me.) The impression I'm getting is that they consider an exact list of header names to be proprietary information for some reason, and are going to great pains to try not to give out the information, but also to not create ill will amongst their customers by explicitly saying "that's proprietary".

MS Word for Mac has never supported Arabic. You have to use other apps. Mellel is best, but Pages 5, TextEdit, Nisus Writer, or Open/LibreOffice should work OK.
Sometimes you can make Word for Mac do connected Arabic if you are editing a document created with Windows Word.
