IP logs needed

Hello!
I think someone knows my password and has logged into my account last week. I have changed my password now but it doesn't matter because I would really like to know if I was "hacked" at all.
I would like to request login IP logs on my e-mail please. I hope it's not confidential information.
I would like to have logs from 15.12.2013 to 20.12.2013 There shouldn't be that many logins. I just really need to know if there are any unfamiliar IP-s.

Check to make sure that you aren't running out of space in the archive log destination. Make sure that you have not sopped archiving because this will backup on you unless you take the database out of archive log mode.
What happens when you do archive log start?
archive log stop should only be used for a temporary stop.

increased log_archive_max_process=10

MED1 - Can not allocate log, archival requiredIt seems that all the online redo logs are full and you need to empty them. This can happeen due to two reasons
1) archivelog destination is full
2)archiving is disabled although the database is in archive log mode

Please advise if this is the correct solution ?These solution will not help you. See if the sufficient empty space is there at log_archive_destination. If it is there it may happen that archive log files were removed by OS commands and database has no knowledge about the removal. In this case connect to RMAN and crosscheck archivelogs, delete the expired. This will let the database archive all redo logs once you execute the command 'ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE' . If enough space is not there backup the old archivelog and delete them as described above. If archiving is disabled the enable them executing the command 'ALTER SYSTEM set log_archive_dest_state_1=enable'

How to find out which archived logs needed to recover a hot backup?

I'm using Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.1.0).
I have backed up a database when it is online using the following backup script through RMAN

}The backup set contains the backup of datafiles and control file. I have copied all the backup pieces to another server where I will restore/recover the database but I don't know which archived logs are needed in order to restore/recover the database to a consistent state.
I have not deleted any archived log.
How can I find out which archived logs are needed to recover the hot backup to a consistent state? Can this be done by querying V$BACKUP_DATAFILE and V$ARCHIVED_LOG? If yes, which columns should I query?

A few ways :
1a. Get the timestamps when the BACKUP ... DATABASE began and ended.
1b. Review the alert.log of the database that was backed up.
1c. From the alert.log identify the first Archivelog that was generated after the begin of the BACKUP ... DATABASE and the first Archivelog that was generated after the end of the BACKUP .. DATABASE.
1d. These (from 1c) are the minimal Archivelogs that you need to RECOVER with. You can choose to apply additional Archivelogs that were generated at the source database to contininue to "roll-forward"
2a. Do a RESTORE DATABASE alone.
2b. Query V$DATAFILE on the restored database for the lowest CHECKPOINT_CHANGE# and CHECKPOINT_TIME. Also query for the highest CHECKPOINT_CHANGE# and CHECKPOINT_TIME.
2c. Go back to the source database and query V$ARCHIVED_LOG (FIRST_CHANGE#) to identify the first Archivelog that has a higher SCN (FIRST_CHANGE#) than the lowest CHECKPOINT_CHANGE# from 2b above. Also query for the first Archivelog that has a higher SCN (FIRST_CHANGE#) than the highest CHECKPOINT_CHANGE# from 2b above.
2d. These (from 2c) are the minimal Archivelogs that you need to RECOVER with.
(why do you need to query V$ARCHIVED_LOG at the source ? If RESTORE a controlfile backup that was generated after the first Archivelog switch after the end of the BACKUP ... DATABASE, you would be able to query V$ARCHIVED_LOG at the restored database as well. That is why it is important to force an archivelog (log switch) after a BACKUP ... DATABASE and then backup the controlfile after this -- i.e. last. That way, the controlfile that you have restored to the new server has all the information needed).
3. RESTORE DATABASE PREVIEW in RMAN if you have the archivelogs and subsequent controlfile in the backup itself !

Change log needed when item Text is changed via a customised tab in PO

Hi all,
In ME21N, ME22N and ME23N we have added a tab CUSTOMERDATA which contains input to enter no. of batches. When ever we enter something, say 1 in the field for no. of batches, this will trigger a FM which will create a batch and update the TEXTS tab at item level with the batch created. This functionality is achieved using the exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013.
Now the requirement is whenever the TEXTS tab is updated by means of CUSTOMERDATA tab, I can see that some text is added to the TEXTS tab. Now I want to see this in the change log at item level that text is updated.
I can see the change log when i manually go to TEXTS tab and change/add something but not when i do it via the CUSTOMERDATA tab.
Could you please help me how to achieve this.

Ok, looks like you haven't received good replies yet, so here's what you need to do. The difference is that CHANGEDOCUMENT_TEXT_CASE is being called for the application transaction entry but not for your exit-based entry of the texts inside EINKBELEG_WRITE_DOCUMENT. This means that UPD_ICDTXT_EINKBELEG was not set - you need to make sure the field value is set to 'U' for the call.

Bash function - command wrapper with logging needed

Hello!
I'm preparing automation scripts and I need a function which could:
1. Execute a bash command and return its exit status
2. Show both stdout and stderr on screen
3. Append both stdout and stderr to a single log file, preserving order
So far I have:

Unfortunately, when I'm using it with pacman to install some package, it doesn't capture all of output e.g. progress bars are not visible nor logged.
I also tried using 'script' command but it had its own drawbacks.
Do you have any suggestions how to improve it?
Do you have your own similar logging wrappers?

Pacman (or whatever underlying utility it uses) probably chooses not to draw progress bars when it detects that its stdout isn't a tty. The only way I know of to do this is to create a pseudotty and execute your commands with that as their stdout, then read from the pty and redirect to the real stdout (and handle whatever logging functions you want).
Notice, though, that the reasons apps like pacman are smart about what they write to stdout when it's not a tty is because things like progress bars involve a lot of escape codes to reposition the cursor and redraw character positions on the terminal. If you write that kind of stuff to a file, it makes for a very ugly and difficult to read log. So you may want to reconsider exactly what you're trying to accomplish here.

Parsing logs, need to keep lines matching two conditions [SOLVED]

I wrote a script that generates a 12 columns in a text file based on parsing my apache logs. I need to remove any line that match the following two conditions:
1) <TAB>200<TAB>
2) <TAB>206<TAB>
Where <TAB> is a literal tab as my other stuff reads tab deliminated files. The following grep works to match simply '200' or '206' but I can't get the grep syntax correct to match with the trailing and leading tabs.
grep -w '200\|206' parsed.log
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Finally!
grep -E $'\t200\t\|\t206\t' parsed.log
EDIT2: Rrrr... the above works under zsh but not under bash... what's my problem?

The sample has only 200 in the 9th column, but I edited it and it worked with 206 too.

Sftp logging --need ideas!

We have a request to log sftp file upload and downloads. Is there anything I can put in ssh_config to accomplish this?
I have come across http://sftplogging.sourceforge.net, however, this seems to only work w/ openSSH.
We currently have this installed:
SSH Version Sun_SSH_1.0, protocol versions 1.5/2.0.
Can I use the patch from http://sftplogging.sourceforge.net w/ Sun_SSH? Is Sun_SSH essentialy openSSH w/ a different name?
Or is my other option to install openSSH and go from there?

Sun SSH is a branch from OpenSSH version 1.2.12
So yes, it's OpenSSH. No I wouldn't try applying an OpenSSH 4.x patch to it.
I too am looking at having to resort to OpenSSH to get current features I need, including logging.

Kernal panic log need help interpreting

My iMac crashes with a Kernal panic shutdown message. It happens very spartic but it always seems to be while I am using Safari and my Kensington mouse. Here is the last crash panic log from the console. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks, Dave

Kernel panics are usually caused by a hardware problem – frequently RAM, a USB device or a Firewire device. When trying to troubleshoot problems, disconnect all external devices except your kbd & mouse. Do you experience the same problems? Do you have another mouse you could use?

Change Log needed at price list and special prices

Tracking changes made to the price list and special prices by BP is a valuable control function missing that needs to be included in future.

I was told by my Implementation Partner that it is possible to import and update price list by using the Import function that is available in SBO. To do this:
1. From your sales quotation with the agreed prices - export to excel.
2. Change the format to list: Product code, Price list to update, New price, Currency
3. Save the file as tab delimited text
4. Import into SBO using the Administration, Data Import/Export, Data Import, Import from Excel option.
5. Choose Item type to import
6. In the B line, choose Price List Code, the list updates to show only the fields relevant to price list updates
7. Press OK and follow rest of instructions to complete the import.
I found the above to be simple, repeatable and reliable enough to solve my initial question.

System.log - need information about some errors

Hi there,
one of my customer has problems with fileserver volumes.
They unmount serveral times a day.
He is using 10.39 and 10.45, under 10.39 the problems occur.
It is currently not possible to migrate to 10.4.
Fileserver 1 is a Helios EtherShare 4th generation
Fileserver 2 is a W2K3-Server SP1, SFM installed
umounts occur on both servervolumes mounted on the desktop.
the system-log reports some errors, I can´t find a description on the internet... ;-(

WLC log needs to show AP name instead of MAC

I am looking for a way to show the AP name in my WLC logs (5508). I am now seeing MAC addresses in the logs and it would be easier to immediately see the AP names. I found a command in the AP that should be able to fix this: "logging origin-id hostname". However, since the APs are CAPWAP and connecting to the controller, once the APs are reloaded they lose this config. So I am looking at a solution for configuring this in the WLC...

I do not think you can configure this through WLC as it is not IOS based product. Here are the settings related to AP syslog, that you can change via WLC (syslog host, facility & level)
(WLC) >config ap logging ?
syslog         Set Ap logging syslog level.
(WLC) >config ap logging syslog ?
level          Syslog level.
facility       Facility level.

Hi,
in your output, there is a full collection which is a stop-the-world collection and collects all genenerations of your heap. So it's not just a concurrent mark. This could be caused by a concurrent mode failure or a System.gc() call in your application (which also leads to the output "concurrent mode failure").

One thing: Are you aware that with the parameter -XX:-DisableExplicitGC
you do allow explicit GCs? Since this is the default, there is no use in setting this parameter. If you want to disable them (which would be worth a try), you have to specify -XX:+DisableExplicitGC.
Now, even if a full collection happens, why does it take to long? One reason I could think of is that you do not have enough physical memory and some parts of your old heap has been paged out to disk. At the collection, it then needs to be paged in which could take a while.
