Hi Welcome to the forums
Here is a basic guide to getting help from the community members done by CL Keith http://forumhelp.dyndns.info/speed/first_steps.html
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
once you have posted the information asked for then the community members can help you more

  • Cisco ISE - EAP-TLS - Machine / User Authentication - Multiple Certificate Authentication Profiles (CAP)

    Hello,
I'm trying to do machine and user authentication using EAP-TLS and digital certificates.  Machines have certificates where the Principal Username is SAN:DNS, user certificates (smartcards) use SAN:Other Name as the Principal Username.
In ISE, I can define multiple Certificate Authentication Profiles (CAP).  For example CAP1 (Machine) - SAN:DNS, CAP2 (User) - SAN:Other Name
Problem is how do you specify ISE to check both in the Authentication Policy?  The Identity Store Sequence only accepts one CAP, so if I created an authentication policy for Dot1x to check CAP1 -> AD -> Internal, it will match the machine cert, but fail on user cert.
    Any way to resolve this?
    Thanks,
    Steve

You need to use the AnyConnect NAM supplicant on your windows machines, and use the feature called eap-chaining for that, windows own supplicant won't work.
an example (uses user/pass though, but same concept)

  • Help Mods Infinity2 IP Profile

Hoping one of the Mods can help me on this before I go totally nuts.
Am sick to death of dealing with the incompetent automated liars you call tech support and customer services.
Multiple times I have complained about the speed of my infinity2 line and other than repeating lies NOTHING has been done.
At point of sale I was told my speed would be just shy of the 80MB down 20MB up. Fantastic
At install sure enough about 78MB Down 18MB up - Perfection.
Several months later I notice things aint moving as fast. I use the speedtest.net and the official speedtest.btwholesale sites and find my download speed is now 47MB! - A Drop of 31MB so I report it. Oh we need to test the line hold please
line gets tested. we cant see a problem we will monitor just leave it all connected.
    Nothing every improves.
Next month - call again explain everything get told we need to run a line test
    saga repeats.
So called tonight to say right I want this fixed - your own systems show the IP Profile has been capped at <50MB what is going on. We need to test the line
HALF AN HOUR LATER i get a call back - theres no fault we dont understand what your problem is. Eh! Dude I was sold an 80MB Product. at Point of sale was told speeds >70MB - Actual is <50MB
So i press the engineer why is the IP profile capped. Erm well thats. erm we dont know.
Ok says I are you going to get the IP profile reset. Their reply well we will monitor your line. Pardon! I need the IP Profile lifted and someone to FIX MY BROADBAND!
Point of simple customer relations BT - YOU SOLD ME A PRODUCT! YOU SOLD IT TO ME WITH AN EXPECTED SPEED. YOU ARE HAPPY ENOUGH HELPING YOURSELF TO MY MONEY EVERY MONTH. HOW ABOUT YOU SMEGGIN DELIVER THE PRODUCT!. NOT LIE, FOB OFF and generally BS your customers!
Or maybe you would like to introduct option 3 infinity. Chargable at the same price as option 2. and then for every case where you FAIL to deliver the POS Promised speeds you refund the customer
so by my count since you have SOLD me 78MB Broadband but only deliver 47MB that means you owe me a refund for the 40% of the service you failed to deliver. A cheque from your CEO as well as a full explation posted PUBLICALLY i think.
MODS CAN YOU PLEASE! TAKE SOME ACTION you guys seem to be able to get action in this corporate lying machine called BT - Please grab what ever Engineering person you need to by the balls and start squeezing until action gets taken. and I mean REAL ACTION - not any more lies, BS and false promises.

  • IO - Budget: During PO creation no error messge while po value exeed budget

    HI CO GURUS N EXPERTS,
I want to control the PR Creation by Intern Order based budgeting. For this. I have
    1. Created a Budget Profile (T-Code: OKOB): Time Frame Past-1, Future-1, Checked flag Total Value and annual value, Exchange Rate -M, Activation Type - 1, Checked Flag Overall, Budgeting curr. - Controlling area curr.
2.Created an Internal Order Type (E.g. BC01 using T-Code: KOAB), and assigned this budget profile to this order. Other settings are: Order Category - Internal Order (Controlling), Settlement profile- 20 (Overhead cost), Planning Profile &  Budget Profile - Both kept as Budget profile (Created by me), Collective Order without goods movement, Residence Time1 - 3 Months, CO Partner update: Active, Checked the flag: Commitment management, Status Profile: Internal Orders.
    3. After that defined the tolerance Limit for controlling area as: Tr Group 01   Activity: 1   usage 90% and Tr Grp 01    Activity 3  Usage 98.
    4. Created an Internal Order (T-Code: KO01): By selecting Oeder Type Created by Me (e.g. BC01), Enter Company Code, Plant, Object Class as Overhead, under Control Data tab: System Status - REL  AVAC BUDG, Commitment update flag is appearing checked.
    5. After that in T-Code: KO22, I have assigned budget amount.
    6. in KO23 when I press Ctrl+F10 is shows: Availability control is Active, Availability control for: Overall, Availability control in Controlling area currency
Now, when I created the Purchase Order  (with Account Assignment Type F), enter the Internal order no. and save it (where budget limit is cross) it does not gives any error message.
Why, Where I have did the mistake. please suggest.
    with thanks.

    Hi,
can you please suggest me the steps need to be follow to restrict / give error message while creating the PO using Internal order if we use more than tolerance limit.
    Below are the details:
    1. Order type: CAP1(assigned this budget profile to this order. Other settings are: Order Category - Internal Order (Controlling), Settlement profile- CAP, allocation structure: IM, Default object type FXA
    Object class: Investment
    2. Budget profile: ZCAP01 (Time Frame Past-1, Future-3, Checked flag Total Value and annual value, Exchange
Rate -M, Activation Type - 1, Checked Flag Overall, Controlling area curr.)
    3. Tolerance Limit for controlling area as: Tr Group ++, Activity: 1   usage 80%,
                                                                               Tr Grp 01 -  Activity 3 -  Usage 80%
                                                                               Tr Grp 04 -  Activity 3 - usage 80%
    4. Availability control is Active, Availability control for: Overall, Availability control in Controlling area currency.
Created Order, assigned budget $1000 and released and the order status is REL  AUC  AVAC BUDG,
Now, when I created the Purchase Order  (with Account Assignment Type F), enter the Internal order no. and save it (where budget limit is cross) it does not gives any error message.
Why, Where I have did the mistake. can one please suggest.
    appreciate your help!!!

  • To anyone with a kernel panic error.

I just solved my kernel panic error.
I have tried all the different support, even had my macbook pro in for service 4 times without getting this error solved.
Have the macbook pro with pentium dualcore 2,16 and samsung RAM.
I tried swithing harddrive due support thought it was the harddrive that was corrupt. This did not change anything.
Have done all of the support resets, this do not work.
Try replacing the samsumg RAM. This did work, the kernel panic is gone.

  • WLC - Rate-limiting with QoS Roles

We have a large number of locations that we would like to deploy the 2100 series wireless controllers. Among other things, we would like to provide generic rate-limiting to all users(per-user bandwidth limits). This is a hospitality guest access environment and content filtering is really not a concern. We would, however, like to prevent one or a few users from saturating the circuit at the expense of other users. It looks like the WLCs can handle this with a QoS Profile assigned to the guest wlan and bandwidth-limiting QoS Roles applied to each user. The issue we may run into is web-authentication needs to be disabled. There is another device on these locations that will be providing those services.
Is it possible to apply a QoS Role by default to all users who associate to a controller without authentication? Also, if anyone has attempted this design model I would greatly appreciate some input on any unexpected or undesirable results you may have noticed.
    I appreciate everyones help.

Thanks so much for such a quick response. I may be misunderstanding some of the documentation and would really appreciate some clarity. I am understanding a QoS Profile to be applied to one or more WLANs and all user traffic from clients of those WLANs will fall under the qos policy as a group(bandwidth limitations would be applied to all of the user traffic combined). For example, a profile capping downstream bandwidth at 1544kbps would limit all user traffic from all of the clients associated to that ssid at 1544kbps. If we were to assume some degree of fair bandwidth distribution and there are 10 users receiving traffic at a given time, then each user would receive no more than 154.4kbps. Or, are QoS Profiles actual templates that are applied to each user that associates to that ssid? For instance, if we consider a profile capping 1544kbps downstream applied to a WLAN with 10 users associated. Each user would be able to download up to 1544kbps and the full bandwidth usage for that WLAN would be 15440kbps.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • BT Hub downloads on Playstation stopping

    Hi,
I have a 2701HGV-C, HW 2701-100630-009, FW 6.3.9.63-plus.tm, and I'm struggling to download large files on my PS3. I read somewhere that this router has a bug on 6.3.9.41 or something similar which prevents it from downloading files over 2GB. However, I don't think this is my problem as I regularly download huge files on my PC (often more than 10GB) and even on the PS3 the odd 3.5GB download will complete, or even 7/11GB will download before freezing. So if my problem is the not the 2GB+ bug, what is it?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Mike
P.S. I had a stable connection for 14 days and my profile cap still hasn't been removed... It's not permanent is it?

looking at your earlier post you are not in any form of banded profile just a long line with a normal default noise margin have you another router you could try to eliminate the download bug

  • RAC instance automatically crashes

    Hello All,
My 2 node RAC (10.2.0.1.0) is running on solaris 10.
The problem i am facing is that my instance , services and ASM , listiner on one node (some time on node1 and some time on node2) automatically shutdown (abort).
I have to restart them manually again.
I have serched all the log. But did'nt get anything it only said instance shutdown abort ...
    Please help.
    Regards
    Pankaj.

    HI,
actually previoulsy i was facing diffrent problem , my vips automatically switched to private subnet, so i raise SR and oracle guy give me follwing below solution after implementaing that solution current problem started to arise.
Soltion by oracle support for vips switching ====>
This Issue mostly like Bug 3545501 whose parent Bug is 3364691
Bug 3545501 - VIP IS USING PRIVATE INTERFACE
Bug 3364691 - NETWORK INTERFACE STOPS WORKING IF YOU CHOOSE PRIVATE INTERCONNECT FOR VIP
Make sure there is a recent copy of the OCR file before making any changes:
    ocrconfig –showbackup
To fix an incorrect USR_ORA_IF attribute of the VIP resource do as follows:
    (1) Log in as root.
    (2) set the ORA_CRS_HOME in your environment to the crs home
    (2) Recreate a 'cap', file for the vips:
    crs_stat -p ora.dbserver1.vip > $ORA_CRS_HOME/crs/profile/ora.dbserver1.vip.cap
    crs_stat -p ora.dbserver2.vip > $ORA_CRS_HOME/crs/profile/ora.dbserver2.vip.cap
    (3) Stop the vips, this will also require you to stop resources that depending on
    them.(database,instance,asm ,service)
    crs_stop -f ora.dbserver1.vip
    crs_stop -f ora.dbserver2.vip
    (4) Edit the profiles(.cap files) manually .. modify the
    USR_ORA_IF=ipge0|ipge2
    to
    USR_ORA_IF=ipge0
(5)Update the OCR records by re-registering the resource with the update
    option:
    crs_register -u ora.dbserver1.vip
    crs_register -u ora.dbserver2.vip
    (6) Print the resources to make sure it took ok:
    crs_stat -p ora.dbserver1.vip ora.dbserver2.vip
    (7) Then start them:
    crs_start ora.dbserver1.vip ora.dbserver2.vip
As per as you have said i have cheked the error in crsd log which show ==>

  • Do BT cap IP Profile as a "fix" for unstable line

I have a long rural line which seems to disconnect whenever there are heavy showers. In such conditions the router, BT2700HGV, will loose signal 2 or 3 times in the space of 5 minutes and usually re-connect at a lower speed, 3500 to below 2000 resulting in a lower IP Profile. The IP Profile used to recover within 24 hrs as the line stabilised.
Because of these recent disconnections my target SNR has moved from 9 to 12. I used to connect around 4000 max with an IP of 3 to 3.5 mbs.
I contacted BT and they tested the line. The agent said there was a problem, they would fix it without coming to my property. I received a call next day asking me if it was better. I said I would like them to call in a weeks time as it was too early to say. I checked BT Speedtester and my IP Profile was 2000k with a connection speed of 3168 (Home Hub 2). After 6 days, with no heavy showers, my IP was still 2000k with same 3168 and no disconnections. Then I had another disconnection so I replaced the HHub 2 with BT2700.
The BT2700 connects higher at 3500 and still the IP was 2000k. Then yesterday during some heavy showers there were 3 re-synchs in 5 minutes so I called BT. They went through the usual stuff, no faults on the line , must be my home network, but I have everything by the book, test socket etc etc so they called today to say they have done things to stabilise the line. Now I find my IP is 1500k but my synch speed is 3552 and I suspect they may have just capped my IP at 1500 from 2000k, cause I'm guessing that is what they did after my initial call, with a 2000k cap. The next few days will tell.

I have what sounds to be the same issue, also rural (New Deer) in my case. Heavy showers, snow and hail really muck up my line.
The change in default margin may appear to stabilse your line but I suspect you will find that the line will still drop in heavier rain (I get a total loss of signal in the worst of it) and sooner or later if the line fault is not found and resolved you may find that the line fails totally, this could be soon, could be next winter or could be years away (I am at the 6+ year point with this issue and each year it seems to be getting worse which is not a suprise).
I woudl suggest that you keep an eye on the connection when it is nasty weather and try a quiet line test when you loose sync.

  • A Correct IP Profile, or Capped?

    Hello all,
This is a little bit different to some messages that I have read on this subject, in that following a network upgrade on my local exchange last week my download/upload speeds have greatly improved. Having said that, and having been a BTInternet customer for some years, I am wondering whether my service is capped in any way, and how I can tell whether I have the correct IP Profiles.
My local exchange is the Ambergate exchange in Derbyshire, and as the Crow flies I am about 2+ miles away, although I am unaware which part of Ambergate the exchange is in.
Today is 5 days since the upgrade took place, and in fairness I noticed an improvement almost immediately. since then I have run several speedtests, which, by and large have maintained the improved settings. I have also tried to keep a record of the ASDL Settings from my Home Hub 2.0. Hoping it helps, I have shown these below.

As you will see they show the settings at certain times on the 21st, 22nd, 24th & 25th of October. Can someone who knows how to interprate these tell me whether it seems likely that my service, as improved as it is, is capped?
If I need to give you any further information please let me know.
I am particularly interested as my use includes uploading recorded videos (church sermons), each about 35 minutes in length. I understand that the times will be affected by the settings I use to encode the videos, so the answer to my question is obviously important to me.
Since the upgrade I have not phoned support at all, as I just wanted to garner the views/opinions of such experienced users (or the mods) that regularly use this forum.
I will truly appreciate any feedback,
    Regards,
    Alan

Back again - I was able to do the tests a little quicker than anticipated, so here they are, tonight's ADSL test (plus yesterday's for comparison), plus tonight's BT Speedtester results. They seem to confirm that there is a problem somewhere:

  • Re: BT Infinity 2 IP Profile - Download Speed "Cap...

My BT Infinity 2 IP Profile has been consistently the same for nearly 2 years since I first signed-up for it and became available in my area, i.e. Upload Speed (US) = Up to 20 Mbps  / Download Speed (DS) = Up to 77.47 Mbps.  I was regularly getting US = 14-17 Mbps / DS = 73-75 Mbps.  Upon doing regular speed checks on my line using the BT Wholesale site, about 4 weeks ago, I noticed my IP Profile DS was reduced to/capped at (Up to) 65.74 Mbps.  Since, I have been receiving the same US as before but DS = 62-64 Mbps.
FYI, I have attached two screenshots but I am reluctant to give my phone number openly on here so can you provide a means for me to send it privately please.
I initially contacted BT Broadband Faults a few times, they did the usual bull**bleep** basic checks to make sure it wasn't my equipment and to give it 10 days to see if it was DLM.  I even hooked up a BT HH5 router to ensure any further line testing was done by the BT book.  After several days, it was evident it wasn't DLM despite BT Broadband Faults insistence to give it several more days until around 11.04.15, to which I did.  By this time, it was crystal clear it was not DLM and Broadband Faults were obtuse upon my persistence that I wanted the specific reason as to why my DS had been reduced/capped by 11 Mbps, and tried to palm me off with excuses such as "copper wire degredation". They refused to contact OpenReach or report it to them.
Note, I had a phone line fault in early Feb 2015 which the OpenReach Telephone Engineer changed lines to fix the fault at my local cabinet.  I was their when he did this and showed me that there weren't many Infinity customers locally.  My line speeds remained the same after and all stable.  I can rule out cross-talk.
I have made 3 complaints via the BT portal regarding this issue and all resulting call-backs have originated from India. Not one can categorically tell me the specific reason why I have, in essence, had my DS capped.  Just the usual bull**bleep** guesses by people not technically qualified to make such diagnoses.  All have been obtuse and said that my current DS remains within the terms of my contract, blah, and refuse to give me a reduction in price of my BT bill.  I accept this is correct, but they will NOT tell me the exact reason why my DS has been reduced/capped!!!!
I do not think it is unreasonable to demand to know the specific reason why the product I pay for has been reduced without an honest explanation why.
Please can you look into my case and any feedback would be much appreciated as this frustrating me a lot.

Sounds like you are being affected by the G.INP rollout to Huawei cabs but the modem being incompatible with it.

  • Customized User Profiles not loading for Network Users

I manage Macs in public computer labs and classrooms at a university. My general set up is as follows:
Clients are running 10.8.5, OD Masters are running 10.7.5. Open Directory Master to manage client preferences for Login window and screen saver. Clients bind to Active Directory for authentication purposes only. Networked users home directories are stored locally then deleted at log out. Using Deploy Studio to image and restore clients.
My customized user profiles are stored in /User Templates/Non_Localized.lproj.(I also update English.lproj for any local users that may need to be created for various reasons).
Recently I have come across a situation where, randomly, my customized user profile does not load at Login, and I am given the out-of-the-box default Apple profile. This is happening in 11 of my 14 labs. I have three labs that seem to not be affected by this.
On some labs I manage the DHCP, some labs I do not, and rely on our Networking group to supply DHCP and DNS. Because of this setup I have six different DNS server that may be in the mix. Two are Unix boxes, the other four are the Active Directory Domain Control servers. I did create a spreadsheet of all the AD/OD settings for each lab to see if I could find some kind of pattern, but don't see a way to upload it.
The one thing I do notice is that when I do a mass login using a shell script via Apple Remote Desktop, when the profile fails to build correctly, the user login is quick, much quicker than when the correct profile loads. Almost as if a packet is sent the the OD server, it's rejected, and bam, Apple's default profile loads.
I have flushed the DNS cache of the local clients using killall --HUP mDNSResponder
I've got one week to figure this out before classes start, so if you have a clue as to what's going on, I sure would be grateful.
Here are logs from both the admin's account and the user's account when the default profile fails to build:

  • 500k profile after disruption and new line install...

    Hello,
    Status:
    I have an open fault logged with BT;
Phone line ok but broadband speed low, profile appears stuck at 500k.
History: sporadic BBand connection and noisy phone line followed by outright failure of both.
Engineers visited and confirmed line between street and master socket probably corroded - they put it on leg+leg to get it working while we waited for a new physical line to be installed.
Pavement was dug up, new armoured cable run from street to house, and a proper master socket fitted (NT5 ? but no inbuilt ADSL filter).
In effort to ensure low noise, ALL other sockets in the property disconnected.
Digital phone (3 handsets off a single powered base) are run off the master socket using a filter.
    Router is business hub - 2700hgv; f/w 6.1.1.48.1-enh.tm ,  h/w 2701-100589-005 .
Hub is connected to same master socket as phone (as it's the only socket now connected to the new line).
New line was installed approx 18 days ago.
Speed tests (speedtest.net) repeatedly show download of 480kbps, upload around 620kbps.
No change since new line was installed and all but the master socket decomissioned.
I use wireless to the router but also repeated tests with a Cat6 copper RJ45 cable and got same results.
Have taken all wireless devices offline and removed electrical items near phone line power supply and cable path to reduce potential noise and repeated tests.
I left the router on for two weeks and no increase in broadband speed.
I rebooted it twice this weekend to see whether it picked up a different profile - but no change.
BT speedtester repeatedly indicates a profile of 500k (full results further down).
Last year I had speeds about 512k on a DrayTek router before switching to the 2700HGV. The change to the BT hub upped the download speed to around 1Mbps, which made a huge difference.
I know I am "a long way from the exchange" but I've had 1Mbps last year and now have a new line into my property, so not much left that I can do to improve the situation.
I'd like to know what can be done to get me at least 1Mb download again.
I have an engineer visit due tomorrow but I believe that will be purely to finish putting paving slabs back over the armoured cable that's been installed (i.e. OpenReach dig team rather than line engineers).
After those slabs are done, I expect the fault will be closed but I'll still have a 500k profile and will need to raise a new fault all over again - that fault was opened 5 weeks ago.
Results of speedtester.bt.com run just now (1pm Sun 13th March 2011):
Download speed achieved during the test was - 363 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 100-500 Kbps.
     Additional Information:
     Your DSL Connection Rate :576 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 777 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 500 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 2.46:14.86:82.95 (SBE:NBEBE)
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 638 Kbps
     Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 777 Kbps
    Router web interface shows:
    Rate:
    576 kbs
    778 kbs
    Max Rate:
    2621 kbs

  • I think my sync speed is stuck or been capped

Hi everyone, last week i had a full line reset because i started dropping in speed, from 16meg al the way down to 9meg, at the time time of the reset my sync speed went to 12.5meg, 24 hours later i was down to 9.494meg down and 1.12 up, im supposed to be on another 10day training but nothing has happened, meaning the hhb3 hasnt switched off or resynced since i dropped to 9.4meg, now after 5 days of constant connection there was still no change so i did a something to try and make my speed drop but nothing happened, it still synced at the exact same speed 9.4meg, im certainly not rate adaptive and i cant have any line issues or my speed would of dropped after constantly plugging in and out the socket and making it resync, so the only things i can come up with is that ive either been capped or the exchange has got stuck for some reason, ive even gone through my entire extension wiring and changed it to cat6, it made my line attenuation lower but no change in sync rate heres my speed test and hub stats.

Thanks for your replys, believe it or not my line as been more stable, meaning alot less disconnects, infact very rare since i last had the snr reset, it auto changed to fast when mods manually reset the snr a month ago, i think it sounds like a joint or something, def not my internal wiring, its all brand new as of today and theres no change in sync so, the prob lies else where, i tried to tell bt before that theres some kind of fault between the pole and the exchange last time my speed dropped when i was on adsl max, it dropped to 300k i think, i rang up for a mac code because they wouldnt acknoweldge the fact and gottalked into adsl2+, everything went well untill 3 weeksago(around that time) i was up to 16meg sync, i posted it on here, after opening my big mouth my speed started to drop so i had a manuall snr reset, that solved it for a while, then i had that bad weather and it all screwed up, like i said previous, about 10-20mins before the reset my sync dropped to 1meg and line attenuation shot up to 65db, after the reset i had 12.5meg, 24 hours later i was down to 9meg, person on the other end of the phone at bt said my minimum sync should be around 12meg
