Ip route cache-flow Vs ip flow ingress Vs ip flow egress

Hi,
Can anyone explain the diference and when i should use these?

Hi,
There's a nice exlanation on the following link:

  • Netflow and IP route-cache flow on a serial Int?

Hi, i was wondring if turning the ip route-cache on a serial Int connecting to a T1 line to the ISP is having adverse affect on the router or not assuming more processing power.
is there a collector by Cisco thatcan be downloaded for free and use to collect the flow?
Can CiscoWorks LMS be used "or VMS" to collect the netflow information?
Thanks very much for your help/feedback.
    Thx,
    Masood

    Masood,
Cisco have produced an excellent white paper on netflow performance - try searching for "NetFlow Performance Analysis".
Also, in the netflow section on Cisco's web site there is an extensive list of both commercial and freeware netflow applications. (You can't use CiscoWorks though.)

  • No document flow updated in Service Order regarding MM flow i.e. PR, PO, GR

    Hello,
On creating a service order in CRM, the purchase requisition is created automatically in R/3 for the spare parts entered.
But this PR information is not getting updated in the service order's document flow in CRM.
I analysed the flow and found that PR gets successfully created and sends back the document flow data to CRM inbound queue.
The BDoc type involved is CRM_SRV_XTN.
In it's Extended part, there is a field called ORDERADM_H_GUID which is correctly filled in the BAPIMTCS structure in R/3 which is converted to probably XML format through macro MOVE_CASTING and sent to CRM inbound queue (function module BAPI_CRM_SAVE).
However, on debugging the respective inbound queue in CRM, I noticed that the field ORDERADM_H_GUID value is not the same as filled in R/3 but some CONSTANT value like 00230023002300560023002300230023 in all the cases.
Also, FYI, the fieldu2019s value in R3 after conversion looks like as following u2013
    #########################0000000000 ########䣴Ώ삷#耀諣뢮########     48F4038FC0B70093E10080008AE3B8AE
While in CRM i.e. FM BAPI_CRM_SAVE it looks as follows u2013
    #########################0000000000 ########################     48F4038FC0B70093E10080008AE3B8AE
So there I feel that the value what is sent from R/3 is not the same as recieved in CRM, on XML conversion.
Please advise what could be the reason for this anomaly.
    Thanks and regards,
    Manish

unfortunately document flow in PS is not like in SD
only in ECP there is a limited possibility
you can see the line item report and activate the relationship browser which will give the details of the documents related to that posting
    other than that nothing

  • SAP RE-FX RERAPP - making Object Cash Flow posting while Partn.Rel. Cash flow gives Error (due to missing House Bank)

    Hello Experts,
We have an issue with the Object Cash Flow makes postings while the Partner.Rel. Cash Flow gives an error due to missing House Bank in the Posting Parameters on the contract.
Result is an double/tripple etc. booking on the Object Cash Flow which not is showing on the Flow Overview in the contract and no booking on the Partner.Rel. Cash Flow.
This goes on until the missing House Bank is corrected.
We want to know if we can block the Object Cash Flow making definitive postings until the original Partner.Rel. Cash Flow is posted.
Hope to hear from you, thanks in advance!
    Saskia Ismail

    Hi.Saskia Ismail
You can think the 2-Type of posting procedure.
    1. You just only manage 'Partner.Rel. Cash flow' of each condition & flow type.
In this cases, you do not configure "Distribution Formula" on the "Condition type" configuration.
(RECACUST>Conditions and Flows>Condition Types and Condition Groups)
    2. You want to manage both of 'Partner.Rel. Cash flow' and 'Object Cash Flow'. but when you posting this cash flow, if you want to block the Object
Cash Flow making, you can use 'Enhancements' of the 'RECACUST>Accounting>Automatically Generated Accounting
       Documents>Enhancements>Prevent Object Transfers' as below.
      Prevent Object Transfers :
      - You can use this BAdI if you want to suppress object transfers (transfer from the contract to assigned rental objects) during periodic posting.
      - Implement the method SUPPRESS_TRANSFER_POSTING and set the parameter cf_suppress_transfer there to 'X'.

  • Regarding no ip route-cache on Cisco 2960

The users have been complaining about the network is slowness , after checking each lay2 switches, I found under each vlan the no ip route-cache is configured, the module is 2960, I am not sure if the command is there by default or configured manually, it is configured under the vlan interface only, not under each interface, will this be the reason that causing the slow performance? by the way will there be downtime by removing this command?
    Thanks

Network Latency is hard to troubleshoot.
-Isolate which customers are complaining about slow services
-ID the services(is is just shared drive access or just web access or is it everything accross the board)
If its the entire network, you probably have issues at the core or backbone so start looking for something that changed or is not meshing with the original design baseline.
If its isolated to one leg of the network, you can look at interface counters for errors or protocol implementations(maybe STP reconverged to a new link that is slower or root bridge problems are occuring.
You can also look at the CPU on the switches supporting the laggy hosts.  If its through the roof, then you probably have a loop or broadcast storm.
Hope this helps, but latency is really hard to troubleshoot until you can isolate the problem down.
Also, ip route-cache is just a higher level of switching.  The 2960 is perfectly capable of switching traffic for all of its user ports with the default switching method.

  • 'no ip route-cache' on Tunnel interfaces

    Hi,
A quick and hopefully simple question. Is there any reason why 'no ip route-cache' and 'no ip mroute-cache' should be configured on Tunnel interfaces?
Generally, when should 'no ip route-cache' be configured on an interface?
    Many thanks,
    Andy

Andy, no easy question, and prety much send some of us back to basics.. one have to take a deeper look at this command to barely get a good picture. See first link thread , good discussion on your question.. generaly no ip- route-catch improves performance for router forwarding processing desitions.

You can find more details on three types of switching methods such as ( fast switching by ip route catch command ), I believe it helps understand better the commands.

Another instance where you would have IP route catch enable on an interface would be for the use of netflow, IP route-cacth command on an interface is requirement for implementing netflow .

  • Ip route cache

Is there any benifit of using this command, is it by default on ?

    HI Carl,
    It enabled fast switching.
There are differet switching methods which can be used,To control the use of switching methods for forwarding IP packets use the ip route-cache command in interface configuration mode.
Using the route cache is often called fast switching. The route cache allows outgoing packets to be load-balanced on a per-destination basis rather than on a per-packet basis. The ip route-cache command with no additional keywords enables fast switching.

  • Particles flow in to form text and then flow out again...

I was wondering if there was a way to do something like this in After Effects... i'd like to have particles of some sort blow in from screen left... form text for about 5 seconds and then disintegrate again and blow away through screen right
anyone know how I might achieve this?
would I need some sort of plugin?

You can do this in a variety of ways from using Particle Playground, Card Dance, Shatter to CC Particle World to third-party plug-ins such as Trapcode Form and Particular. There just won't be any instant solution with either of these. All of them require multiple instances, custom parameter maps and/or heavy parameter animation as well as time-reversal techniques since naturally most particle systems expand/ explode ratehr than to "suck in". realyl depends. i recommend you study the VideoCopilot site's tutorials section, Tuts+ and other resources. and look for something suitable to get started, then come back with more specific questions.

  • 802.1p on 3750 ingress COS tag vs Egress COS tag

    Greetings,
Hopefully someone will have some insight in to this.
I have a 3750 configured for switchports to trust the cos value recieved from the device it is connected to. When I run Ethereal, I am seeing the COS tags with a correct value that was assigned. What I am NOT seeing is egress traffic on the port retain or assign any value. What am I missing?? The switchport config is below.
    interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
    switchport voice vlan dot1p
    duplex full
    mls qos trust cos
    spanning-tree portfast
    ip igmp max-groups 130

    Thank you for the reply.
Currently I believe the source and destinations are within the same switch so no trunkports should be doing the COS rewrites. I have thought about the default DSCP-COS maps possibly rewriting the values but as you see in the QOS config (which is very basic) that should not be happening.
Here are the global QOS config.
    mls qos
no mls qos rewrite ip dscp
Tonight I will be verifying that the VLAN ID assignment form the server matches the voice VLAN ID. Also I am going to ask my co-worker (server guy) to let the vlan assignments and COS tags come from the switch as opposed to the server.
I look forward to more input!
    Thanks!

  • Manual changes in Sales Order's ROUTE field doesn't flow to R3

    Hi,
While creating sales order if  ROUTE in shipping tab manually changed, it doesn't flow to R/3.
ROUTE re-determination takes place in R/3 and changed ROUTE not replicated back to CRM.
Can any one know better solution?
    Thanks,
    Nilesh Parsekar

    Hi Kapil,
I have already checked BDOC, it holds route data under shipping.
I per my knowledge route determination happens in ECC and no route data being send back to CRM.
I didn't find any Route determination config in CRM. I guess it is rather available only when it integrate with SCM.
CRM route data has no relevance in ECC.
    Thanks,

  • Laptop consuming battery fast and a constant flow of heat from CPU

    Hello to all.
I'm having similar problems like this one, here using a Dell Vostro 3460, maybe is just some non-windows OS unfriendly hardware. Battery last like 5 or 6 hours on Windows, and just like 2 or 2 and a half on Arch. Will remove battery until there is a solution, and use the laptop only on my workplace.
I have to admit that, I don't know how to disable the discrete video card, I just blacklisted nouveau.
LCD is not hot, there is just constant flow of heat by the ventilation gap (maybe the CPU dissipator?) brightness settings are ok. On windows that heat flow sometimes just stops.
    Any help is very appreciated.
    Thanks.

    @lahwaacz,
Could you point me to documentation regarding bugs/problems with laptop-mode tools? I'm using that right now and it has always worked pretty well but I'm currently seeing higher temperatures (~10C higher on average) and trying to figure out why.
My fan operates continually but not, I think, very aggressively. But it has always done that so I assume it is normal for this laptop. (Have no idea really but it doesn't seem out of the way - it is a laptop, after all...)
I don't know anything about fan control, my laptop controls fan speed automatically, I can't even get current fan speed.
The main problem with laptop-mode-tools is that it's very huge, and the bigger the program is, the slower is the execution. Another problem is that it's connected to both battery and AC adapter ACPI events (see /etc/acpi/events/lm_{ac_adapter,battery}). On my laptop, those events are sent at the same time, resulting in running laptop-mode-tools twice. Most people once configure laptop-mode-tools to their liking and their hardware, so I think there is no need for such an extensive software like laptop-mode-tools, if something simpler does the same (or better) job.
Also laptop-mode-tools can conflict with pm-utils (which are installed on many systems as dependency for some packages):

  • How to renormalize number of flows in Netflow Sampled data

    Hi,
I am working on extrapolation(renormalization) of bytes/packets/flows from randomly sampled (1 out of N packets) collected data. I believe bytes/packets can be renormalized by multiplying bytes/packets value in exported flow record by N.
Now, I am trying to extrapolate number of flows. So far i have not got any information on it. Do you people have any idea on how flows can be renormalized from sampled data ?
Well, at the same time i have some doubts regarding this concept altogether -
    1. In packet sampling, we do not know how many flows got dropped. Even router cache will not have entries for dropped flows
    2. In flow sampling, router cache will maintain entries of all the flows and there may be some way by which one can know how many actual flows were there. But again there is no way to know values of individual attributes in missed flows like srcip/dstip/srcport/dstport etc.(though they are there in flow cache)
    3. In case of sampling (1 out of N packets), we anyway multiply #packets and #bytes with N to arrive at estimate for total packets and bytes. When we multiply by N, it means we have taken into account all those packets as well which were NOT sampled. So, it means all the packets which flowed between source and destination have been accounted for. Then there are no missed flows, isn't it ? And if there do exist some missed flows then multiplication by N to extrapolate number of packets/bytes is not correct.
    4. What is the use of count of flows anyways. Number of flows may vary depending upon the configuration such as active timeout etc. So, it does not provide any information about the actual flow between source and destination unlike number of packets and bytes.
    Please share your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

The simplest way is to call GetTableCellRangeValues with VAL_ENTIRE_TABLE as the range, next summing array elements.
But I don't understand your comment on checksum, so this may not be the more correct method for your actual needs: can you explain what do you mean?

  • Show flow export statistics query

We have recently upgraded all our WAN router to Cisco 3945, they all have the same FLOW config as below
but when I do a sh flow export statistics
    on some routers I get:

    on others  I get:

Enqueued to process level: 165                   (223914 bytes)
as I said all the configurations are basically the same
Does anybody know what causes this difference?

    Hello,
have you checked the DBA_HIST* objects to see what / how was imported?
If the awr export dosn't get the contents of the rolling buffer, then you won't see any session statistics that are only there. If you want to get the contents of the rolling buffer you have to dump the contents of it with :
    oradebug setmypid
    oradebug dump ashdump 10
and load it into your "test" database.
But before doing this I suggest you read the related metalink documentation if any!!!
