.IPA Files not working when I try to install them on my iPod Touch
Hi all
So recently I tried installing a .IPA file from the internet. It installed on my computer fine, I clicked it, it opened in iTunes, and then I tried installing it onto my iPod 4. the blue progress bar on the PC and the iPod were going fine until it reached the end, and I was greeted with a error message saying the app failed to install.
I'm kind of a noob with this sort of stuff, so if someone could please help it would be much appreciated.
As you found out, you can only install apps purchased/obtained from the App Store. Alls are licked to the account the "purchased" them

I recently switched to Mac and currently have two machines, one at home and one at work. I noticed a few days ago while working on my mac at home that when opening files in photoshop or dreamweaver, files and folders were not showing, and i was only able to open them through the finder... i thought it might have been a problem with the portable USB hard drive, but the drive works perfect in my computer at work. Now, two days later im having the same problem with the mac at work, but this time accessing files in a network drive that we all share.
The number one problem I have is that while working in dreamweaver when placing an image in my HTML, i cannot see the file when looking for it.
Seems like the files in the finder are cached and only certain ones are displayed....
Any ideas? HELP!
thanks a lotSorry, yes this is Microsoft Excel. The Microsoft XP has Excel files denoted as xl, the later versions of Microsoft Excel are denoted as xls files. The later verions of Microsoft Excel open the xl files OK, does Excel for Mac not able to do this?

How you do it though depends on the version of OS X you are running.
On Lion or Mountain Lion, you use the following technique to reset the Administrators password:
Boot to your Recovery Partition, by holding down the Option key while starting, and then selecting the Recovery HD as the boot choice.
Once booted, at the top of the screen is a menu ..., select Utilities / Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A “Reset Password” window will open. Select your boot volume (your SSD drive) if it is not already selected. Select your administrators username from the menu labeled “Select the user account” if it is not already selected. Follow the prompts to reset the password. Restart the computer from the apple menu.
If you are using the Keychain, you will lose your existing one, and have to start a new one, unless you remember the old password. -
I downloaded podcast from a polish radio site. They are fine and working on my macpro but when I try to copy them to my ipod I get a massage that " this podcast can not be played on this ipod" . what can I do?
Or because the episodes are video but are in a format which plays on iTunes but not on an iPod Touch. Only the originator of the podcast can do anything about that.

You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite. It is not listed on their system requirement website:

That's probably because they're not registered.
Messages only works if your friend has an iphone.
There is a workaround that can work, though.
set up an AIM account online.
in System preferences > mail, contacts, and calendars, enter your new AIM account.
in Contacts, on your friend's contact card, look for AIM. Enter their phone number right before that, with a +1 before it, and the area code: i.e., +11234567899.
This doesn't always work. Their cellular carrier has to cooperate with AIM. Some do, some don't. If it doesn't work, tell your friend to get an iPhone. -
all of sudden comcast and facebook pages do not load when i try to access them on my mac. all other websites are fine. any one out there having the same issue?
That's just not right - I mean, it really wrong to have to use a Windows machine to access your Facebook account. Can you pull up Comcast on IE as well?
Something's going on and I'm surprised that deleting your cache and cookies for those sites didn't work.

Have you authorized your iTunes library yet to play and sync your iTunes purchases? To do this, head to the Store drop down menu and choose Authorize This Computer. Then enter in your iTunes store account credentials and then try resyncing your iPod.

First of all, thanks for the detailed notes of the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what is going on in your specific case, but I do have a few more ideas for you to try.
Starting with just one of your iPads, when you get stuck on the "waiting for items to copy" step, just disconnect your iPhone. There are probably some orphaned or corrupt files that need to be addressed. I would suggest closing all of your open apps and then backing your iPad up to iCloud. Then review the articles below to move or delete any big files on your device. These can include Voice Memos (iPhone), music, photos on your camera roll, photos or videos that are attached to your Messages, email attachments, etc.

When I try to transfer songs to my ipod touch or my friends ipod nano, I get error 13019 "Ipod cannot be synced". Everything was working fine and transferring successfully and then this problem started to occur all of a sudden. My music is managed manually and always has. I looked online for a solution and they all involve resyncing the library and unchecking voice memos. Is there a way to resolve this issue without having to resync my music or reinstall itunes?
Have you powered off and then back on the router?
Have you done anything to the router recently like changed a setting?
Have you tried:
- Resetting the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Resetting network settings: Settings>GeneralReset>Reset Network SettingsTo me the error sounds like a network/router problem vice aan iPod problem.
