Ipad 1 crashes

My ipad1 has been crashing for years. And it is only getting worse. I dont want to buy a new ipad if they couldnt fix it on the ipad1.
I took it to the Apple store twice. First time they said to close all of the apps running in the background. That did not help at all.
Then the last time I took it in, they said to rebuild it. Okay, I took that scary step and did the master reset and only added a handful of useful apps. The problem still exists.
Tired of the problem, and Apple abandoning the ipad1. Now any app I want to download is not compatible with the last revision of ios for the ipad1.
Just tired of getting the run around at the Genius bar.
I even try to close all of the apps and do a power shutdown,and then do a power up. It does not help.

I fully understand the iOS last revision and new apps.
My experience of late is, that the new apps wont load if the iOS is not compatible.
So, let me try to make this even more clear.
I bought my iPad about 6 months after they came out. So, it was a Christmas present, so it would be December.
Within the first few weeks, I started getting crashes. A lot of the times it is in the browser. But it also happens in the apps that I downloaded. So after about six months of this crashing problem. I went to Apple Genius. And they are the ones that gave me the solutions that I mentioned above that did not work.
What is weird, I bought two iPads, one for my spouse and the other for myself. Only mine crashes. I only have about 20 apps on the thing after I rebuilt it. There is nothing on it but the apps. No music, or pictures, or movies. Trying to keep the memory usage at a minimum. Even thought that with deleting apps, that there was some memory usage that was not given up during the deleting action.
I have not even tried to add new apps. And I only update the apps that I use regularly.
I have noticed that other folks have been having this same problem with the original iPads. Since at least 2011 or 2012.
Thought by now, either Apple would recognise this as being a known problem and replace them, or have a fix. Apple is usually pretty good about customer service.

I have always found spell check to be "buggy" in every version of all of the iOS's that I have run on my original model iPad and my new iPad - especially when replying and typing posts in these forums. It works perfectly in every other application on my iPad but it has never worked perfectly in any web browser that I have used on my iPad - no matter what I have done to try to correct it. That is what MY experience has been with spell check on my iPads.
As for the crashes on your iPad try these basic troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

IPad crashed w/ iTunes logo, Apple store restore it, now I can't get my app

I'm pretty new in Apple world, iPad is pretty much my very first Apple product. I love it but this problem been driving me nuts in the last couple days.
My ipad crashed last week, the one w/ the plugged into itunes logo. I had to bring to Apple store to figure out whats wrong and they offered me to restore it, alright fine...it's restored within 10 minutes. before I left the store, I asked them again will I get all my apps back from iTunes ?? and they said +"yes, as long as you download from itunes, you can re-download it again from itunes+".
So here I am, been trying to re-download all my Apps back since couple days ago, I plugged into iTunes and can't figure out at all !! I read this support : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1391 but I didn't see any "purchased" in my iTunes 10.2.0.34.
Please apple-itunes-ipad-guru....help this poor guy !! my 2 year old daughter been saying "+ipad ipad ipad+" but I can't give this ipad to her yet without all her beloved games, otherwise she might get frustrated

There's no easier way just using iTunes, which is annoying; you can make it easier by regularly syncing the iPad to your desktop and taking backups of the desktop.

You may be able to re download iTunes purchases for free directly on the new iPad.

Why does iPad crash so often?

In the middle of playing games or checking Facebook, my iPad crashes and goes back to home page. It does the same thing when I try to share pictures on Facebook. I went to the Apple store today and they helped me backup everything and then completely reset my iPad. The crashes are still happening. Does this mean I need a new iPad?? I don't know what else to do.

Do you have an iPad 1? If you have a newer iPad you need to update to iOS 7.1.

My Smart Cover is causing the aluminum to wear off/ipad crashing

About two months ago, I noticed my Smart Cover started to wear the aluminum off. The spot is getting bigger and there are others areas now where it is wearing off. On an unrelated not, my iPad crashes apps ALL the time! Even after resetting it. My one year warranty expired in June 2013.

No one addressed those Apps crashing....
I had a problem with Pages and another Apps crashing all the time. The advice was to delete the App (data is not effected) and then re-download via wifi from the store in purchases (no charge of course).
It fixed my problem apps.
If this doesn't fix the Apps then the iPad itself may need to be restored.
PLEASE! do a good backup to a computer first! Save stuff to dropbox, reduntant backups are okay!
Then restore to factory and then setup as new with backup.

HT1725 iPad crashed during download so I didn't get my purchase

I purchased a Smurf Village special for Smurfberries but the iPad crashed during the download so my iTunes account has been debited but I don't have the Smurfberries . I've read the Apple page and tried to follow the instructions for retrieval but can't find 'Download' button on my iTunes page.
Please advise.

I Had it on my iPod, but I reset to factory settings and it got deleted :( If I find a way to get it back, I'll post it here so you can too.

How to recover apps games data after iPad crashed?

Our iPad crashed and it was replaced at Apple store. We are now downloading, via icloud, the apps we used to have. But it seems that the games are not showing last scores/ levels. Is there a way to recover this data as well? thanks a million!

That data would be in your backup. If you have a very recent backup - and I mean very recent - you can restore from that backup in order to recover all of your app data.

Ipad Crashed ..... Opens in recovery mode

Ipad Crashed ..... Does not switch ON..... And the time I try to restore it shows
Serial No- n/a and no other specification like capacity etc.......
Always opens on recovery mode and when i try to restore it ,it shows error 3194......
I have already tried to fix the 3194 error through hosts but... it didn't fix my problem...

Why does iPad crash when I open Mail app?

My iPad crashes (returns to home screen) each time I open the Mail app. Mail opens for just two seconds, then crashes.
All updates are current on Mac and iPad. I have synced the iPad with my Mac and power-cycled the iPad but nothing helps.
Can I delete and reload just the Mail app? If so, how is that done?
Or do I need connect the iPad to my Mac and do a full Restore of my iPad?
Any suggestions?

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

Try a reset. Hold down the Sleep and Home button for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

IPad crashes when backing up to iTunes

I just got a new iPad Air, and I need to back up my old iPad 3 to my Macbook so I can restore the new iPad Air from the backup. BUT....every time I try to back my old iPad up to my computer, my iPad crashes. I get about 75% of the way through the backup loading bar, and then my iPad goes black and takes five to ten minutes to reboot itself, and then the whole process happens again. I've seen multiple posts about iTunes crashing when syncing, but not the iPad itself. I have tried hitting both the back up button or just the sync button (it backs up during the process) but neither works. This same process also occurs when I try to update to iOS 8.3 (from my iPad, no Macbook or iTunes involved). How do I get my iPad to last through the backup process?

Have you tried backing your iPad up to iCloud?
Are you using the latest version of iTunes?
How much unused space is left on the iPad?
Try to delete any unnecessary emails/messages & apps. Clear Safari cache: Settings->Safari->Clear History & Website Data.
Make sure the iPad is charged before backing up to iTunes
Try a general reset:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings. You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi network
