IPad 1 reverts back to first screen from any program.
my ipad1 closes my safari or any regular app i'm working on and reverts back to iPads first screen.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Cheers, Tom

My iPad keeps reverting to the home screen from Safari and Mail. ???
Have you tried closing the two apps completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Safari or Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari and Mail apps to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

To revert back a transport request from prd to dev server
hi experts
how to revert back a transport request from prd server to
dev server?
a transport request has been wrongly transported
and it has make major changes in production server,
now we want to revert back that request , we know the request no.
regards
pankajAll you have to do is create an order of transport type "Transport of copies" in PRO.
I give you the steps to follow:
1. Go to SE01 and create a new order (remember the type "Transport of copies").
2. Enter the data of the order of transport that is going to come back.
3. Enter the target, here is where you asign the target system to carry the request.
4. Now just add the number of request to the new request you just created.
5. Finally released the request from this transaction.
6. Check on the queue of transport in DES, the request must appear there.
I hope you serve =) -
After I edit a raw file in Lightroom 5 and with raw 8.5, the edited files revert back to being unedited. Any ideas?
bigjb3 wrote:
I edit them in Lightroom. Then the little symbol appears in the bottom of the thumbnail in the film strip at the bottom of the LR screen. Then, a few minutes later, the symbol is gone. I then click on one or more of the thumbnails and the image opens in the main screen. However, all of the sliders on the right are at their defaults, and the image is back in its unedited state. Last night, for a while, the edits reappeared, but tonight they were gone again. I just recently downloaded Camera Raw 8.5. I wonder if that is the problem.
What little symbol? Do you mean the up-arrow symbol that appears top-right of grid or film strip images? This indicates that the image has been edited by another program.
Or do you mean the "+/-" symbol that appears bottom right?. This appears after editing, but if it disappears subsequently without you doing anything, it sounds like something nasty is happening to the catalogue or image xmp file on disk.
Lightroom doesn't use ACR (8.5 or any other version) - it has the same functions built-in. ACR is used only by Photoshop. Are you opening the images in ACR in Photoshop? -

Can we buy warranty for ipad and macbook air after 3 years from any external agencies
Can we buy warranty for ipad and macbook pro after 3 years from any external agencies?
I'm sure you can, however I am not aware of any companies. Consider addining them to your homeowners/renters insurance if possible.

My Macbook Pro will not print anything from any program. I've reinstalled the drivers. I get an error message in Word that says, "Word could not communicate with printer." Any ideas?
Be sure to try restarting, if you have not done so since this problem occurred. You should also power off the printer while you do the restart...
If that does not help, you can try resetting the printing system. Open System Preferences Print & Scan (or Print & Fax) pane. In the sidebar with list of printers, right (control) click anywhere. Select Reset printing system. You will have to add back your printers after you do this. -
Printing directly to adobe from any program

You may want to go to the appropriate Acrobat forum for your OS (assuming you have Acrobat). -
How to revert back to Snow Leopard from Lion?
Foolishly I just jumped straight in, downloaded Lion and installed it, and well... I really don't like it. It's not a patch on SL.
So I'm trying to work out the best way of reverting back to Snow Leopard.
I have:
My Snow Leopard install disc.
A SuperDuper, bootable backup from 48 hours pre-upgrade.
A Time Machine backup from 48 hours pre-upgrade.
I'm fairly sure that just putting the SL install disc in, isn't going to work.
I think I have a couple of options.
1. Erase the hard drive completely, and then do a fresh SL install, then restore the last TM backup.
2. Boot from the SuperDuper backup, then restore the last TM backup.
I'd prefer option 1, as this gives me a clean install (I hope).
Before I go ahead, can anyone:
a) See any problems with carrying this out, or
b) Suggest a better, safer method?
I'm a bit concerned that SL was an upgrade to an existing OS, rather than a complete OS in itself, so I'm very wary of what might happen if I wipe the drive then put the disc in, hoping it'll give me a nice new version of SL. Might need to go and do a bit more reading up.
Thanks.For ref.
Dragged and dropped copies of important files (Docs, Pictures, Downloads, Movies etc) to a spare drive.
Printed off any docs that I absolutely could not afford to lose.
Shut down Mac.
Attached USB drive with SuperDuper backup, and powered up drive.
Powered up Mac, and immediately pressed the option key.
From the window that popped up, chose my USB drive as the boot disk and pressed return.
Mac powered up running Snow Leopard from USB drive.
Started Disk Utility, and erased the disk labelled 250.06 GB Fujitsu.... etc In the 'name' field, entered 'Macintosh HD'
Started up SuperDuper! and copied my backup over Macintosh HD.
Incidentally, the first step it took was to erase Macintosh HD anyway, so I could probably have skipped the first erase.
Let SuperDuper! do it's thing for 90 mins.
Once it had completed, closed the machine down (it wouldn't let me eject the USB drive, as presumably it was still using that as the boot disc).
Detached and powered off USB drive.
Pressed Mac power button and crossed fingers...
And goodbye annoying Lion, hello again, good old Snow Leopard!
Didn't even need to restore the last Time Machine backup.
I may take another look at Lion again, further down the road, when hopefully Apple will have realised that OS X and iOS are two completely different animals, and that we don't all want our Macs behaving like our iPads.
For now though, I'm sticking with SL. -
Going back to selection screen from Change mode in ALV.

Everything is working ok. But when I click on Back button, the screen goes first to the ALV display mode from edit mode, then user has to click one time more the back button to go to selection screen because the FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' is called once again when user clicks
on change button because I am making the EDIT flag = 'X' and then calling FM again.
Is there a way that when user clicks on Back button, he will directly go to Change Screen -> Selection screen instead of going to Change screen -> Display screen -> Selection screen
Regards,
Rajesh. You must not call the FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' again to make it editable. Instead you can call the FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_GET and REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_SET to make your grid editable / non-editable.
Like this:

Going back to selection screen from ALV
Hi there,
I have scenario: program -> selection screen -> ALV
In the 'BACK' button I have put: LEAVE TO SCREEN 0. It should go back to selection screen. But it does not and exits the program. I also tried to call the selection screen like CALL SELECTION-SCREEN 1000. But in this case if I hit BACK on selection screen, it goes back to previous screen, the ALV not the program. Can you please assist any other way to use the back button from
ALV -> Selection screen. Thanks.
Regards,Hi Johnny
Previously i got the same requirement according to that i had developed a report just go through this hope it may helpfull very much

How do I revert back to Snow Leopard from OS Lion without losing files etc
I need to revert back as my work VPN cannot operate with the java cocoa version that is part of safari due to the OS Lion upgrade I performed. I have done a ton of work on my system in the last week and don't want to lose any of it - and no I didn't use time machine. HOw much am I going to lose when I uninstall Lion and then reinstall Leopard?
Thank so much for your help,
cmwFirst, do a full backup of your current system.
Reformat your hard drive's main partition that you want to revert to Snow Leopard from Lion. This will delete EVERYTHING on the partition, which is why you need to do the backup first.
Reinstall Snow Leopard from the installer media you own.
Download then install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Combo Updater.
Run Software Update repeatedly until there are no updates left to install.
Reinstall all your third-party applications.
Connect the backup you made of the Lion system and copy over your data. You should only have to copy over the files you know about within your own user account folder.
If you do this right, you'll have everything back in Snow Leopard with no loss. If you do it wrong, well, that's another reason we made a backup all the way back in the beginning of this process - you can always start over. -
After selected chapter is over, player will not revert back to menu screen
Hello, Can someone please point me in the right direction, I have exported a movie with transitions, titles and chapter markers to idvd using the export to idvd function, I have everything looking good on the flowchart, idvd has recognized my chapter markers and split them accordingly, no problems, however when I go to test play the movie and choose scene selection>then a chapter> the desired chapter plays but then when it is over the player does not revert back to the menu, like it should, what happens is that it keeps on playing the movie chapter after chapter, is anyone else having issues with this.
Actually John is right on the money. The way the scene selection menu functions is identical to that of a commercial dvd (plays from the selected scene forward to the end of the dvd).
Normally it returns to the main menu thereafter .... Unless one chooses to make an autoplay dvd and selects the loop function as well (in which case it would not return to the main menu but rather keeps playing in Kiosk mode).
If one wishes to play chapters as independent movies, then one must break said QT movie into separate sections either in iMovie or with QT Pro or any other apple (or 3rd party mac compatible) video editing app. -
