You can't drag video into the filesharing pane of iTunes, you can only transfer projects.
Videos need to come in via the photos tab of iTunes.
The easiest way to get videos from the iPhone to the iPad is via the project export import.
Projects can be exported from the iPhone, then imported to the iPad like this:
iPhone Send a project or trailer to iTunes
If the marquee screen isn’t showing, tap the My Projects button .
Scroll to center the project or trailer you want to share.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, and then tap iTunes; tap OK when iMovie indicates that export is complete.
Connect your device to your computer, and then open iTunes on your computer.After a moment, your device appears in iTunes, below Devices on the left.
Select the device, and then click Apps at the top of the iTunes window.
Select iMovie in the Apps list below File Sharing. (You may need to scroll to see it.)

That has nothing to do with iTunes match. The Remote app on iPad can control the computer's iTunes but not play content from iTunes on your iPad.
To play for example iTunes imusic on iPad
You need to have Home Sharing On.
Check Settings > Music > Home Sharing (key in your Apple ID & password here, must be the same on computer's iTunes)
Start iPad's Music app, tap the ... More (bottom right), tap Shared.
Choose your iTunes' library and have fun.

No. Safari does not have the option to attach files for uploading other than photos.
Look at iCab Mobile in the App Store. There are other browsers that may do this, but I'm pretty sure that iCab will fill the need.

Firefox always says using old version even after running the upgrade programme. Even after uninstalling & reinstalling? Why?

Every time I open Firefox the message "using old version" appears I have tried uninstalling the program and then reinstalling but no change, When I use Firefox as my browser a message appears to say you are using an old version of Firefox. This is just fustrating what can I do to correct?

I am signed into the iCloud and contacts are turned on in the iCloud settings on my iPad. the iCloud account is checked in the groups area of the contacts settings. the calendar is turned on the same way and that syncs to iCloud...just not contacts.

Ipad opening old versions even though deleted - can't view new versions!

I am designing and creating iBooks and need to show them to my editor to before they are finished - I export them, upload to drop box and she downloads them onto her iPad 3 Version 6.0.
When I make the necessary changes, i duplicate the file, rename it, and re upload to dropbox. ie 'Joe Blogs 2', that way I have many versions to refer back to if necessary, and i label each one on the cover to save confusion.
Since the new update for iBooks Author we have had some pretty big problems, I have edited, exported and uploaded the books as usual, my Editor has downloaded them onto her ipad, but every time we tap on the new title to open the book 'Joe Blogs 2' it opens an old version 'Joe Blogs 1', even if the old one is deleted from the ipad, also, even if we upload a completely different book it still opens 'Joe Blogs 1' I have changed the titles, and file names and it has made no difference. we are both using iBook latest update.
NOTE: All books were created from an original template created in iBooks Author version 1, from the 'Basic' template. I have been using this template because I don't know how to recreate it - the are no chapters it starts with 1 page then has sections so that it ends up with a table of contents which looks like this, which means that the 'chapter' (section) title can be tapped and go straight to the section, which is something I would lose if I started the books from scratch (which I obviously don't want to do)

Thank you for replying, and for the tips on templates, that makes a lot of sense - i have now created a template from the original book, and saved it as a template (I cannot make the template from scratch as I do not know how, as I explained, to make a contens page that functions like the one in the picture)
Unfortunately, this has not solved the other problem
Just to check we are on the same page (no pun intended) what I have been doing is this;
• To start a new book: opening 'contents page', a template i have created (and saved as a template, so I get it from the welcome screen on IBA 2, as opposed to opening an existing file and duplicating it.) use that template to create a new IBA file, ie 'Maslen and Mehra 1' which I save, export as 'version 1' when prompted on IBA v2. then I add this to drop box.
after my editor has downloaded and seen it, I make changes, then duplicate and save as ''Maslen and Mehra 2' to show to her again. then I make make changes, duplicate, save, make changes, duplicate, save... up until 'Maslen and Mehra Final Proof (9)'
since the new IBA update every time she tries to open a new file, the last one I sent her before the update opens (which is really old now as we have made a lot of changes, on our current book we are on version11 but version 3 opens!. Thinking that my template might be the problem I did the following:
• started from scratch: chose an bulit-in IBA template, put a 'A' on the cover, saved it as 'A', exported it, added it to drop box. my editor downloaded and opened it fine.
• changed the 'A' to a 'B' on the front cover (did not duplicate the file) exported it, I changed it to 'version 2' when prompted, saved the .Ibooks file as 'B' and uploaded it to drop box. My editor dowloaded it fine, and it appears in the library but When my editor opens it 'A' opens instead.
• Started again (with a completely different built in IBA template) repeated the process, new book 'A' again worked fine, but this did not change to 'version 2'. same problem. new book 'B' opened as new book 'A' again.
• Started again (again with a completely different built in IBA template) this time duplicated 'A', named it 'C', saved, exported 'C' and 'A' still opened even though 'A' is a different file!
• tried changing the meta-data file title, repeated the process, made no difference.
• tried different drop box account, didn't make a difference
• she tried restoring her ipad, still made no difference
• my editor cannot view IBA files (only .ibooks) so we cannot get around it that way...
so my current issues:
• My editor and I need to find a way we I can create a book, send her a copy and make changes, and send her a new copy, whether by duplicating it or even by re-exporting the original document (and saving a copy as a spare) - but neither currently work - why is this so difficult? this was not a problem before the update, she could have multiple books with similar filenames, all orginating from the same file. (which I now know is not the correct way, but even using templates has not made a difference)
• regarding templates: have I missed somewhere that you can make a template from scratch? I thought the closest you could get was to choose an existing template, delete everything then 'add section/chapter' if I go to 'New' in ibooks author then it still just takes me to the template page so I have no choice but to choose one of the IBA templates or one of the ones I have created myself, given the choice I would always rather start from scratch and a blank page anyway! :-)

Privacy is an Option in the Settings App, its not in Safari as that applies only to Safaris browsing. Its called Privacy in IOS 6 In previous versions the same thing can be found under Location Services.

Changes made using "old" version of iTunes not showing up

A colleague uploaded new thumbnails and created new courses in an old version of iTunes. When I go on our page – using the current version of iTunes - none of the changes are reflected. When I log in as the administrator, I now see it in the “old” version (I used to see the current version/configuration) and all the changes are there. We made these edits a few weeks ago. Any ideas how to fix this?

If you are logged in to the same account on the phone, you can go through the music and app store to download purchased content directly.

Using old version iMovie and import from new camcorder

I got a new camcorder which won't let me import to the old version 4.0.1 Does anyone have any idea how to move the clips to the old version from the 7.1.4 version which is sooo infuriating. The old one was soooo simple to use as I don't need 90% of the NEWER features. I also miss being able to turn one frame into a photo.

As an iLife '08 owner you are also entitled to a free download of iMovie HD v6.0.4 if you want it.

You can open the named_Event folder containing the iMovie '08 imported clips and "drag 'n drop" them to an open previous version of iMovie or you can open the previous version of iMovie, select the "Import" option, navigate to the named_Event folder, select the file(s) you want, and import it/them to the older application.
I also miss being able to turn one frame into a photo.
JPEG images are automatically created in the named_Project folder any time a single frame is selected/added to an iMovie '08 project. They can also be created by QT Pro ($30) or MPEG Streamclip (free) directly from a source video clip.

I was just wondering what are some reasons why organizations continue to use older versions of Oracle like 7 and 8i when we are now at version 11g?

There is absolutely nothing you can do with this software if your Mac OS version is newer than 10.6; Macs less than about 5 years old cannot run older versions of Mac OS . It is no more use to you than a brick. It is an extraordinary thing to sell. Acrobat is now at version 11. Version 7 is more than 10 years old. I had a look but I don't see this on the RAFT store.

Using old version of InDesign for upgrade

Hi. I have an old, never-opened retail copy of InDesign 2.0 that I bought with a new Mac some years ago. The white tape seal on the top of the jewel case is still unbroken. I'm semi-retired and don't do any layout or graphics work, but I have one project that was created for me years ago using Indesign that I would like to be able to update myself. I would like to be able to upgrade to a later version of InDesign, but not to the current one--probably to version 3 or 4. One reason is I think the file I will be using is in 3; the other reason is I am still running OS 10.6.8 on my Mac. Can I install this software now on my Mac? Will its serial number work to authorize an upgrade version on installation? What can I do? Many thanks

Thank you, Bob. Just finished a verrryyy lengthy chat with a nice Adobe rep, who gave me some slightly different info, and, sadly, about the same conclusion.
I was told I can't install the ID 2.0 on anything past a G5.
I might qualify for an upgrade to CS4 (ID 6.0) but I'd need help from Adobe for the authorization. However, that supposedly runs on OS 10.4.11–10.5.4 only.
He said I can't use CS 6 because it requires OS 10.7 and up. So I could take a chance on CS 4 and if that didn't work, give up and swear off Adobe. (I was raised on Quark) Or look for a later full version of Indesign -- if that was ever even offered.
As far as finding old software, I'm sitting with an unopened retail copy that's 7 years old. If it were still usefiul, I believe it would be legal to re-sell.
I've had success buying authentic old stock software more than once. I ask for pictures of holograms, etc. (I'm still using Appleworks and until I couldn't run system 9, i wouldn't give up Claris Emailer).
