Pages won't sync between iPad and Macbook
I cannot get my pages to sync between iPad and Macbook.
I regularly go back and forth between the two because it's easier to read/edit on iPad and easier to type/copy-paste web info on Macbook.
I'm finding right now that I have done a multitude of edits on my iPad that are not showing up at all when I open the same document on my Macbook.
I have closed the document on my iPad so I expected there to be no problems when I opened it on my Macbook.
Not sure why or what to do....?I had this issue too - I have been playing around with it for a few days - turns out you need to save the documents on your mac not under "documents" but rather under "Pages - iCloud" (or "Keynote - iCloud" etc.). After doing this, the document appears on my phone, iPad, iCloud.com etc. with the changes.
One way to do this is by clicking the dropdown arrow (it shows up when you mouse over the title) to the right of the title of your document on the grey title bar (the thing at the top of the page - above insert, table, chart etc.) and then editing the "where" column.

Can I connect my iPad and MacBook Pro both via an iPhone hotspot?
First, a little background. I have an aging MacBook Pro (~5 years old), and my netbook was smashed on the way to work last night. My cell phone (not an iPhone) crapped out a few weeks ago.
So my first priority is to replace my netbook with an iPad. When I can afford it, I also want to upgrade to a new MacBook Pro. I've also been thinking of getting an iPhone.
One thing that always confuses me is Internet connections. I currently connect my MacBook Pro to the Internet via Verizon and use T-Mobile for my cell phone.
I was surprised when an Apple salesman told me the iPhone has a "hotspot" that I can use to connect both an iPad and MacBook Pro to the Internet. But an Apple salesman at another store told me the hotspot will connect the iPad.
Can anyone offer some details? I've been browsing some of the other threads, but I still don't really understand what a hotspot is. Am I correct in understanding that as long as I have an iPhone with me, I can use it to connect my iPad to the Internet? Can I similarly use it to connect a MacBook Pro (either my 4-year-old+ model or a new model)?
What kind of connection speed does a hotspot offer? I do a lot of websurfing and web design. Would a hotspot connection be about as fast as my current connection via Verizon?
Also, is the hotspot feature available with either AT&T or Verizon?
Thanks.Your hotspot will be billed by AT&T or Verizon based on your iPhone's model. Only the iPhone 4 from Verizon would allow a Verizon hotspot. Others have posted information revealing that the Verizon 3G connection is somewhat slower than the AT&T service. Also, the Verizon service suspends the use of hotspot when you take a phone call. The AT&T service continues during calling.
Selecting the hotspot feature under General> Settings> Personal Hotspot will change your data plan from your previous 250MB, 2GB, or unlimited amount to a new 4GB plan that includes tethering. AT&T charges me $45 instead of my Unlimited, but No Tethering Allowed, $30.
You can connect three devices that have WiFi. Verizon hotspots can connect five. Your speed should be about the same as the iPhone 4 browsing speed on 3G. If your phone is on WiFi, the devices need to connect separately to that WiFi, not to your hotspot. I would love to see a software update that allows my WiFi connection to be shared, so I don't have to manually connect the iPods that my boys use one at a time. -
iPad IOS 7.0.2 and Mountain Lion 10.8.5 Calendar colors do not match between computer and device. Problem did not exist until updated IOS arrived. Colours change of their own free will despite being corrected on both iPAD and MacBook Pro. Any answers?

Go to your hard drive, enter library, go into users, and go into launch agents and delete the thing above. Empty the trash and restart. -
My iphone 4s cannot join a public unsecured network, but my ipad and macbook can with no problems. I have reset the network settings on the iphone twice. Both times that fixed the problem but only for a few minutes, then I get the "cannot join network" message again. Please help! What can I do?

When syncing the iPhone and iPad with iTunes on your computer that is logged in with the Apple ID you plan on using on all three, the Apple ID should be transferred to the iPhone and iPad for the iTunes & App Stores on each device. If not, you'll need to sign out of the existing Apple ID on the iPhone and iPad followed by signing in with the Apple ID you want to use on both.
Keep in mind that all 3rd party apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download the apps. With an app installed on your iPad and iPhone that was downloaded with a different Apple ID from the one you will be using now, you will need to use that Apple ID and password to install app updates for those apps. Not possible to transfer apps purchased with one Apple ID to another or to merge Apple IDs. -
How do I delete items stored in the cloud and clear it so I can get it working? It will not store any more photos. I cannot use it. It is almost full. I don't want to buy any more storage at this time. I delegated some photos on my iPad and MacBook and nothing changes.

I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? I recommend you consider Omnifocus. It is a task management program which runs on the Mac, Iphone & Ipad. I use it for task management and project management. It let's you store additional information as well. I sync all three devices through a Mobile Me account and I can enter data on any device and it is available on all devices. I believe you can also sync through Dropbox. I'm not sure that you can sync through iCloud yet. The link to their website is: www.omnigroup.com. There may be less expensive alternatives, but this one meets my needs and syncs very well across all devices.

Iphone 5C no longer syncs calendar to iPad and MacBook Air
I am having syncing problems with my iPhone 5C to my iPad and MacBook Air. I installed the latest updates on all three devices yesterday. Now my iPhone will only sync to my other devices when I add or delete an event on my iPhone. It does not sync when events are added or deleted on iPad or MacBook Air. When I add or delete an event on the iPhone then all previous events syncs on my other devices to my iPhone. How do I fix this?

How to get calendar back onto ipad and macbook after icloud install
I have just migrated from mobileme to icloud. I now have no calendar on my ipad and only one child's calender (out of three childrens +2 other calendars) shows up on my macbook and entries are changed to wrong days. I have everything on my iphone but do not want to plug it in for fear of losing all data (I do have a back up on an external HD) How do I get all the correct data from my iphone calendar to the ipad and macbook? I have checked discussions and there are many similiar issues but no replies with resolution. thank you
Problem resolved. I went onto my laptop>System Pref>Mail,Contact,Calendars. A dialog window repeatedly opened asking me to Deny or Allow access. I went thru iCloud, mobileme (mail, contacts and calendars), several AIM accounts and all my mail accounts and populated the accounts window. I then went to my iPhone>Settings >iCloud and turned off calendars (saving calendars on my iphone), turned calendars back on and voila:Full functionality of my calendars on my laptop.

Hi there. Can anyone help? I have an iphone, ipad and macbook pro. Whenever I add anything to my calender it always puts itself in twice and always reminds me of everything twice on each of my appliances. I'm sure it just a matter of ticking or unticking boxes but I can't seem to get the right ones.
- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

Since upgrading to iOS7 some text messages are not being sent on my iPhone 5, iMessage on my Ipads and MacBook doesn't have my phone number registered and my reminder colour on my Iphone keeps changing ... among other things. Any suggestions to fix these faults?
Make sure People Sending you via iMessage are sending their messages on your PHONE number not on your EMAIL addresses . My sister had the same problem, thats how i managed to solve it!

You have to set up the email account using IMAP instead of POP.

The phone has been locked by EE/T-Mobile and I have checked with Find my iPhone and the phone is not connected/not even on.
