Ipad 2 apps crashing

I have just installed the latest 4.3.3 on both my ipads 1 and 2 , all fine so far on the original but my ipad 2 is going crazy.
only have to look at a few photos and the app crashes and disappears, other apps do not start , eg tom tom , and i can not get to the mail settings at all.
i have done a total restore and reinstalled the previous backup but no success. Do i really have to start from scratch? The whole system seems unable to function. Maybe wait a day or so for a update ?

One other thing you can try is pick one 3rd party app that is crashing consistantly and delete it.
Then re-download it from the APPs store. Then try running it to see if the re-install helps.

Vanity Fair UK ipad app crashes when offline

So I'm having the issue with iOS 6.1.2 that my Vanity Fair app crashes upon opening if my iPad is offline. Since i mostly read VF on a plane, this is a real problem for me. VF/Apple/Conde Nast were aware of it and apparently issued a fix however I have the Conde Nast Digital UK version of the app (Version 2.9.0.17.63646) and the last update for that was November last year, way before iOS 6.1 came out. That's the only version of VF I can download in Australia. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, that doesn't work.
Have emailed Vanity Fair customer service, they assure me they've released a fix and it's all sorted. NO IT'S NOT!!!! I can't be the only one having an issue? The other thread was full of people having that issue but they've been the recipients of a recent update which they say has fixed the issue for them. Once again, my version of the app, the only version I can get, has not been updated since November 2012.

(Yes, I know there's another thread on this but this is different. Also, I posted in that thread and since people think the issue is resolved, no one is reading it.)

I tried dealing with Conde Nast/Vanity Fair in the US, they are completely useless and ignored what I was saying and told me to upgrade to the latest OS and app version. Finally they told me they were passing me on to the UK office. I never heard anything so I ended up calling Conde Nast in London and this is when things started to happen. I was put in contact with a fabulous girl in the circulation department who immediately took ownership of the issue. I explained to her what the issue was and she investigated for me and came back and told me that she'd spoken to the tablet team who were aware of the issue and were working on a fix which they anticipate will be ready next week in time for the release of the April issue of Vanity Fair. She really was fantastic and I'm quite grateful to her. I hope the fix is available next week but it was nice to get a definitive answer on what is happening.

IPad app crashes when switching to extra keyboard

Something I also experienced on my iPhone 4 (but don't now how I fixed that) now also happens on my iPad 3: I just added an additional (2nd) keyboard English to the original keyboard Dutch. And when I try to switch to it (via the 'globe' on the keyboard) the app crashes: for example when using the 'native' Apple app iMessage. How come and what can I do to solve this?

Try restarting or restoring the iPad.

IPad apps crash after installing iOS 4.2

After i installed iOS 4.2 almost any app crashes after a few minutes to the home screen and changes arent saved yet. Some apps handle it a bit longer, some crash right after a minute or so.
Any idea why or what to do?

IPad app crashes in ad-hoc mode; debug interpreter works fine

Hi there,
I've been fighting with this issue for days now. I have an app which uses Away3D and Starling together. Works beautifully on the web, and also when compiled with debug-interpreter mode. However, when I compile for ad-hoc ipa and run it, it loads up just as slowly as debug-interpreter mode, and then crashes. I find a LowMemory report in my CrashReporter directory when I sync with iTunes.
Another strange thing is that the app's viewport is screwed up, it truncates part of the screen.
I am using the combined Flex 4.6/Air 3.3 sdk found here: - and compiling against air 3.3.
This is using Windows XP.
Can anyone help please - this is so frustrating..

With the exception of my preloader, which has no actionscript code in it whatsoever, I do not have any external swfs being loaded into my app. It's all images, zip and text files.
How are they _very_ different? Is this documented somewhere? I ended up working around the problem - it seemed like it doesn't support pass-by-reference of typed vectors, although I have other code that does things like so:
var foo:Vector.<cFoo> = GetFooVector();
and it works just fine. Sounds like a bug to me. Anyway, my workaround didn't solve the problem - because I ran into this next:

Thankfully it's the exact same issue that several people have encountered, and it causes no 3d meshes to be renderable on an iOS device. Pretty serious stuff.

All non-native iPad apps crashing

Hi,
Yesterday out of the blue all of my non-native apps starting crashing as soon as they were opened. The only apps that were spared were Numbers and Keynote. Pages is having the problem too and I'm reluctant to delete it and reinstall because I have some useful files stored in it.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Ipad keeps crashing on every app, even on settings and other Apple made apps. A memory application shows that the free memory is shrinking.

EVERY app on the ipad is crashing back to the menu after a few seconds. I have tried powering down, syncing. There does not seem to be an app that can monitor what is causing the problem. Every app that I have was downloaded from the app store, nothing is bootlegged.

Delete the last downloaded app from your iPad by holding down the app then tapping the circle with a x then tap Delete.
If you aren't certain which app it was open iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account / Purchase History.
You can always re download the app again without re buying.

Ipad: photo app crashes while "make new stream" for icloud

HI,
I have a problem using the photo app on my ipad (with the most actual ios software IOS7.1). I would like to generate a new shared photostream. When I touch "make new stream" the app crashes and needs to be closed with "doubleklick" on the home button and close it. Otherwise it does not work again.
I already made a soft-reset, a complete reset of the ipad. I also de- and reactivated the Icloud setting.
With the same software version on my iphone it works without any problem.
Can somebody help me?

Try closing all apps in Multitask Window
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.
3. The app will fly off the screen

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. IPad photo app crashes when zooming into pictures

I have about 15 GB of photos on this iPad- and the photo app crashes any time I try to pinch to zoom into a picture. anyone else having this problem? what's the deal? works sometimes but crashes 2 out of three times.

Did you get any fruitful answers from an Apple Genius? Sure wouldn't mind saving myself a trip. Thanks.
Nutshell:
I've had two iPads thus far where I cannot use the Photos app because anytime I scroll it crashes.
I had my first iPad replaced since it couldn't play any video without the entire machine locking up and requiring a forced restart. (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11320267&#11320267 ) The Photos app on my first iPad would also crash anytime I attempted to scroll through my photos.
Now, the Photos app on my second, replacement iPad is behaving the same way, it always crashes when I scroll.
Observations:
• I didn't put any of the same photos back on my replacement iPad, I started with an empty Photos app which ever since only contains images that I've saved to the Photos app from other apps on the iPad, e.g. screenshots, saving images from Safari, Mail, etc.
• I did test drive the Photos app after having saved only a handful of images ( ≈ 30 imgs) and was happy to see that it DID NOT crash. Unfortunately it wasn't long after, having had saved a handful or so more images to the photo library that the app again began to crash anytime I would begin scrolling down through images.

When I connect to the iTunes store from my ipad 1 and go to either films or tv the app crashes. If i try to search for a tv programme the app crashes. I am using latest iOS

When I use the iTunes app to connect to the store, the app crashes when I try to search for a tv programme or film. I can buy stuff that is advertised but searching causes a crash. The same has happened with today's 12 days of Christmas. When i try to download House, the app crashes. Same with day 1, Coldplay, app crashed, missed the offer.

Thanks for your help. A simple power off/on worked and cured the problem. I'm so used to the iPad being on all the time I forgot the basics.

Is anyone else having problems with every app crashing on iPad 2 on iOS 7. If I even have one app open with one open in the background, my apps close out. Sometimes the device will shut off and restart. I've done factory resets, wiped the device, and reinstalled the OS and nothing helps it. I am honestly about to switch to a Samsung Device because this iPad is so awful and I can't get anything done. It has crashed 4 times while I have typed this post which took less than 5 minutes to create!!

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

IPad NOTES app crashing since 7.0.1 update

I updated my iPad to iOS 7.0.1 yesterday, and am finding that the Notes app crashes every time I try to update certain notes that I created today on my iPad 3.
I use Notes more than a few times a day, and have over 700 notes in one notepad which convieniently backs up to my Gmail and is searchable there. So, I hope that Notes crashing gets fixed soon. I've tried other Notes apps such as Notebook+ and Noteability and Evernote, but I keep returning to the Apple Notes app for its convenience and simplicity.

Same issue here, with iPad 3. Notes worked at first after update. Then, it crashed while I was searching for a Note. I have also quit app, and restarted iPad, but as soon as i open Notes it briefly flashes that last screen I was on (I had been searching for a note, so it briefly shows the keyboard, the list of notes on the left, and the search box) and then immediately shuts down again.
I looked for notes in Spotlight Search, as someone suggested, but got the same result when i tried to open it from there.
Nothing seems to resolve it. really hoping I don't need to reboot the whole thing and start all over again setting up all of the other apps that required passwords, verification codes, etc etc....
