Ipad 2 can facetime with iphone 4S, but opposite not working.
Hi, I just got an iphone 4S and an ipad 2. My ipad 2 can call my iphone through face talk without a problem. However, when I tried to call my ipad from iphone, my ipad will ring once, then a message "ipad is busy at this time", dispalys on my iphone. obviously that is not true, because my ipad is right beside me and doing nothing. I feel it is setting problem on my iphone, but just could not figure it out, anybody knows how?

My iPad2 is frozen by the screen 'iPad Not Backed Up', I had followed the instruction by plugging in, locked, and connection with wi-fi but it did not work.
Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo. -
My cannon printer worked with snow leopard but does not work with Lion

IPhone 5unlocked but does not work in India
Hi All,
I had purchased iPhone 5 from Vodafone in sydney and got it unlocked via Vodafone. I have been using this in Australia with many operators without any issues.
Recently I moved to India and I was not able to use any of the SIM Card. It displays "No Service". I have updated to ios 6.0.2.
Could anyone help me on what needs to be done?

Start with the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 and if that doesn't help, some have found it works if you:
Settings > Airplane Mode ON and Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > Airplane Mode OFF and Do Not Disturb OFF
Now try WiFi again.
If none of this helps, visit the Apple store genius bar and have the techs test it. -
i can facetime with a friend in korea but i can't facetime a friend in florida what is going on ? how do you delete an app that is still downloading ? i downloaded an app and it is taking forever to download , i've downloaded the app before and it didn't take this long what is going on? if anyone can help me that would be great thanks a bunch!!!
Short Answer: Yes
When they set up facetime, they either used an apple ID, or (for iphone only) their phone number. You call using one of them. An apple id linked email address in my opinion is simpler, as you don't need to worry about country codes and the like. (I have never tried to facetime anyone out of the country, so I will admit I am not sure what you do about country codes.)

i use a macbook pro which came with facetime i have an iphone 4S as well. whenever i use the wireless on my iphone i can facetime with ease however when i use the same wireless for my mac to facetime the call always gets disconnected.
To use factime on your Mac, I believe you will need to use your email address to do so instead of your wireless number. Since you can't make calls on the Mac.

I was looking into the issue you are desribing, and found a great article for troubleshooting wifi connections with iOS devices. It's called iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections and can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398.
Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.

First, be sure that the contacts on the devices are in the "icloud" section and not the "On my iPhone" (or iPad) section of the contact listings/groups.
Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If most of them are gone, then they are gone.
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.

Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone. -

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

It took your service 1 month to finally understand why this happened to me, and it took me tens of emails to you and 3 hours of telephone conversation to find out the reason for my problem. Vitas DijokasWell, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
