IPad 2 can't connect to WiFi/unable to join network
The iPad 2 (WiFi only) initially had no problems whatsoever in the first several months after I bought it. Then I didn't use Internet on the iPad for 2-3 months, as there was no WiFi for that time. Now when I try to connect it to my WiFi, it either temporarily connects with a slow, patchy connection (spinning processing symbol on the top left corner) or the "Unable to join network" message pops up. All my other iDevices connect perfectly at a high speed. I have tried the following to no avail:
Reset network settings
Reset all settings
Turned router off/on
Same room as router
Forget network
Turned WiFi settings off/on
Restored to factory settings 3X
Changed WiFi password
Changed WiFi security
Changed WiFi name
Can't turn off router at the hotel, it hasn't worked at any wifi hotspot. I just never really monkey with it.

Can't connect to wifi, "unable to join network" even though I'm connected on my Macbook Air
I am connected on the same network on my Macbook and cannot connect on my iphone 4s. Yes, I too updated to ios6 about 18 hours ago. I have Reset my Phone, done the "Wifi>Network>Auto" option, turned on/off wifi, turned off iphone, Restored my phone and no luck. I also overseas (Germany) and have my service suspended. Please Help!
I think Adobe has problems with its server since the last 2 days. Everyone is experiencing these problems world wide. Not all the time but several hours a day.

My Ipad can't connect to WiFi. I tried to reset and connect to the wifi network, it will divert me to the IOS page...could you please help? Thanks.
Try a soft reset or turn the device completely off then turn it back on again. Also you can toggle Airplane mode on for about 10 seconds and then turn it off. Sometimes that resets the radio signal inside the device.
A soft reset is basically holding onto the power button and the home button simultaneously together for about 10 seconds or until you see the screen flash and it should go completely black. Afterwards, tun the device back on like normally and see if that fixes the problem. -

I am an engineer and I have tried every tweek to my airport router and unles you are standing 10ft from the ruter you get the unable to join network messsage.
naturally it work fine at the Apple Store who preformed a full reset on the phone. Other people are having this issue same a me and apple chooses not to acknowledge it, Maybe they will when I contact the consumer journalists at CNN ABC CBS & NBC news they love to here about Apple problems remember the Iphone 4 antenna issues!
APPLE ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION!!!
AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM AND SAY YOU ARE WORKING ON IT.
THINKOF IT THIS WAY
PEOPLE ARE GETTING PHONES EXCHANGED OUT AT APPLE STORES AND THE CARRIERS ONLY TO FIND THAT CHANGING THE PHONE DOES NOTHING REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THIS IS COSTING YOU MONEY AND WASTING YOUR STORE PERSONNELS TIME TROUBLESHOOTING A PROBLEM THAT ONLY THE HOME OFFICE CAN FIX!Dear Engineer...Apple does not read these posts. Ipad 3 wifi " unable to join network "
Dear ios developers / community
my ipad 3 32 gb wifi , running latest ios 8.1 is unable to join network . i have tried every single method mentioning below :
1 . reset network setting
2. reset all setting
3. hard reboot
4. itune ios recovery
5. dfu recovery
6. updated from ios7 to latest ios 8.1
7. fail in joining network , even with correct password entered , showing "incorrect password "
8. fail to connect to open network , showing " unable to join network "
9. it cant connect to any wifi router however it can only be conected to internet via bluetooth tethering from my phone .
please guide me with your professional opinion . is this some sort of software glitch or hardware problem ? thanksI don't know if this will work for you but I bought a new iPad Mini 3 this past week and I have Verizon Mifi. My new iPad mini3 would try to connect but couldn't. I went back to Verizon and the tech selected the option "Forget this network." When she did that, my Mifi came up again by itself. My iPad was searching for a connection and my Mifi showed up. After the connection showed up on it's own again, the tech was able to select the network and then selected the option to put in the password and that fixed the problem. I would have never thought selecting "Forget this network" would have worked but it did. I don't know if that will work for you.

Why won't my ipad2 connect with wifi. MacBook Pro and PC work, original iPad works and iphone3G recognizes it, although not very strong.
I tried Powering Off and Reset Network Settings but still not connecting. The iPad2 recognizes the wifi with fill strength, when I go into settings
and choose it there are no codes or numbers in IP,Router, DNS, etc., where as on the original iPad those fields are all full, I can not manually enter any.
It worked in the past OK but the signal was really poor in some areas of the house, we tried another router which did not work for other reasons and hooked this one back up, and now I have nothing. What do I try next.I don't know how it answer or get some details, maybe some guidance will help.
This is what I can tell you :
We have DLink DIR625, not sure how to find out what version or firmware level
We do not have a password on the system (we are in the country with no neighbours to interfere)
Can I find the answers for these questions asked somewhere on my computer?
My iPad2 does work on other networks
In System Preferences under Networks on my MacBook Pro, I have the following info:
Configure IPv4 : Using DHCP
IP Address : 192.168.0.127
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router : 192.168.0.1
DNS Server: 192.168.0.1
Search Domain: sympatico.ca
On iPad - original older version
IP Address : 192.168.0.167
all the rest of the details are the same
On iPhone 3GS
IP Address : 192.168.0.117
all the rest of the details are the same
These 3 items all are currently working fine
I can not access my husbands PC, so do not know what those codes are on his.
On my iPad2 all these feilds are blank and I can only manually enter in the
DNS Server and Search Domain sections
Any other guidance would be greatly appreciated -

Can not connect to WiFI with IPAD. Any tips?
Any tips on how to connect to WiFi. The IPAD does not find WiFI. I know that is working as I currently have 3 other devices using currently.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at
http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

My new Ipad 3 cannot connect to WIFI even it has a full bar of reception. In the same location, my Windows 7 PC and Andorid Smart phone can connect to the same WIFI without any issues. How can I fix it? Without WIFI, the WIFI only IPAD is nearly useless. If it cannot be fixed, can I get a replacement for IPad 2?
Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. If defective, you'll get a replacement.

When I try to connect to the wi-fi net work at my work place on my new iPad 3 I get a message, "unable to join the network". I have verified the password, so I know it is correct. I know the wi-fi works, because I can connect at home. I have already tried the following:
turn wi-fi off and on again
did a hard restart of my iPad
reset network connections back to factory settings
verified wi-fi is working as my computer accesses internet without issue.
verified that my software is up to date.
Does anyone have more suggestions?Couple of suggestions.
First, many companies have a gateway on their networks that block non approved devices. I work in such a place. You might check with an IT guy , and see if they have a block in place.
Second, the message you are getting means that you have not negotiated the security settings. So either the password is wrong ( case sensitive), or, in some cases, they want a network key as opposed to your normal password.
Again, if you can find one, talk to an IT guy and see if he has some suggestions.
