IPAD 2 compatible with Epson PowerLite 710c Projector?

Hi!
I am thinking of buying aI Epson PowerLite 710c Projector to use with my IPAD 2 during my classtime.
Is this possible or a waste of money to buy?  If it does, do I need additional adapters that any of you know of?
Appreciate any input you have.  I am trying to somehow simplify my life with this type of presentation in my special education class.
Rita

You will need to check with Epson and see what type of connections they have and then buy the proper adaptor in the Apple Store, like this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC953ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE
This is the only one that will mirror the output on your iPad 2.

  • Using MBP with Epson Powerlite 1835 projector

I tried connecting my MBP to an Epson Powerlite 1835 projector (using VGA adapter), but it wouldn't play my movie through iDVD. It would, however, access my iPhoto program (it was a menu option) and sometimes I would see my screen -- but never the video.
The projector is property of a party hall being rented for my neice's rehearsal dinner, at which time we want to show the video I've produced.
I've since seen this model project for sale on Apple website. It says you connect via standard USB cable (which I did NOT attempt). Again, I used the VGA adapter.
Anybody know how to make this work?
    Thanks,
    Terry D

  • HDMI and Epson PowerLite X12 Projector

I use a an Epson PowerLite X12 Projector with my computer and Smart Board. (I want the projector to project my computer screen on the board).
My new HP Envy doesn't have serial ports so I was told that I could use HDMI.
Unfortunately I can't get one or the other to recognize.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I use this everyday in my science classes.
    Thanks

    Marria,
Here are the specs for your HP ENVY 23se-d394 TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop Computer. According to the specs, this model doesn't have any kind (VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) of video OUTPUT port. The specs do indicate that this model may have an HDMI video INPUT port for use with video players and game consoles.
If you computer has an HDMI port, it is strictly for video INPUT and will not drive an external display. To use an external display with this model will require the use of a USB-to-video adapter, such as the eVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or one of many other adapters on the market. I recommend the eVGA UV Plus+ UV39, as I have this adapter and know that it works with my HP TouchSmart 320-1120m CTO Desktop Computer.

Yes it is. However, it is at the bottom-end of the compatibility scale and you -may- have performance issues.

  • Does Apple plan to make iTunes / iPad, iPhone compatible with 24 bit FLAC files?

Does Apple plan to make iTunes / iPad, iPhone compatible with 24 bit FLAC files?

I wouldn't count on FLAC being supported. 24 bit Apple Lossless (ALAC) is our best bet. I have been patiently waiting for 24/96 or greater support on ipods and especially AppleTV... Desktop iTunes is compatible with hi res files, but not FLAC, you have to convert them to Apple Lossless with Max (or some other converter)... I have several FLAC files from HDTracks, and converted them fairly quickly and easily with Max, so I could add them into iTunes. They play fine on my computer (with an external DAC), and stream fine to AppleTV, but ATV downsamples to 16/44 according to my Receiver. I wish it wouldn't do that....

  • How can I find an erlier version of the Netflix iPad app compatible with 1st generation iPads?

I have 2 first generation iPads.  One has an early version of the Netflix app that is compatible with the ios, the other does not have the app.  When I try to download the app to the second iPad, I get nowhere becuse the only thing offered requires an ios that is beyond that supported by my iPad.  I can't find a work around and I am not offered the option to download early versions of the app.

I believe the prompt will only appear if you already have the old version installed and an update is presented, though I could be mistaken. Have you looked in the Purchases area of the App Store app when signed in using the account under which you downloaded the old version to see if the old version still appears there?
If not, do you have the old version in iTunes on your computer, or if not is it still on that other iPad. If so, you should be able to get it into iTunes and from there sync it to the second iPad.
    Regards.

  • IPad not compatible with my Mac OS 10.4.11

Got my 3G iPad yesterday only to find out that it is not compatible with my current MacPro (OS 10.4.11). So no syncing for me.
My husband's Macbook is on OS 10.5.6, which I think will work BUT once I upgrade my computer will the iPad be like an iPod and only recognize his computer? I don't want to sync it to his laptop if I don't have the option to re-sync it to mine later.
    HELP!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
It won't work on his machine either. He needs to upgrade to 10.5.8. See the specs page here:
    http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
    Even the store page here:
    http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad
Both say a minimum of 10.5.8 and iTunes 9.1.
Don't know where you got your iPad, but you should always read the entire page of where you buy it from to make sure your system meets the requirements.
Before upgrading to 10.5.8 or later, consider the following*:

  • Is ipad 2 compatible with iOS 8.x.x?

    Hi All:
Before i begin updating, i would like to know if anyone can tell me if iPad 2 is compatible with iOS 8?  I also am not sure All i know is that it isn't iOS 8. Thanks in advance to everyone who responds..
    Thanks very much
    Ciaochaio

An iPad 2 only got a few of the new things for iOS7 and even less for iOS8.
While iOS8 is compatible with an iPad2, it does seem to push the limits of that device's hardware specs.
Some have said here that their iPad2 is working better now, others still complain that they have a brick.
My iPad2 us is on iOS7 and that's where it's going to stay. It works fine now, I don't need new apps so I won't run into the 'must have 8 to run' issue
I'm sticking with my 'sure bet' of a device that functions the way I want it to not gambling on the unknown of performance issues with iOS8

  • IPad not compatible with MAC OS X 10.4.11

I just bought an iPad and just realised that it's not compatible with MAC OS X 10.4.11 when I tried to hook it into iTunes. Therefore I will need to upgrade. C
an someone advise on what OS I should upgrade to and how? I assume Snow Leopard would be my best option, but I'm not sure if I can upgrade to this from MAC OS X 10.4.11.
Also I've never upgraded before, so will everything on my current Note Book be preserved such as iTunes library, documents, iPhoto's library etc.
    Thanks in advance

I was faced with the same dilemma, and wound up upgrading to Leopard on my G5. My approach, which worked well, was to get a retail box through eBay, then upgrade online to 10.5.8.
You're always well advised to do a backup before an OS upgrade. Find many discussions about upgrading in the OS forums.

  • Printer driver in Safari not compatible with Epson Artisan 730 printer

After being on the phone with Epson for 3 days, it seems as though Safari/Firefox/iMac is missing a driver for my Epson Artisan 730 printer.  Does anyone know how to rectify this? The printer is brand new, operating with Lion and prints out gibberish, 30 pages at a time. Help!

First some people have had problems getting the printer drivers to update via software update, make sure you have the correct drivers as shown in this table.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3669
To see what driver you have go to System Preferences > Print and Scan > into the printer utility and under the general tab you'll see the driver version.
To force an update delete the old driver
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/15947486#15947486
I just resolved a problem with our Epson Artisan 730 and print quality, turns out the USB drivers and WIFI drivers are VERY different and the USB drivers offer much better quality, more options in the print dialog for quality and color management.
If you already have the correct version of the drivers maybe a mac connected to the printer via USB can share the printer and then you can print with the USB driver. I know that's a pain since that's what we did before we got the 730 with WIFI.

  • Is CS5 extended compatible with Epson products? I cannot select printer settings.

I've had this problem for a very long time with multiple Epson printers. This problem only applies to Adobe products as other image editing software work fine. The printer settings button does not work in Photoshop so I cannot select paper type or any of the other settings. Adobe blame the problem on Epson and Epson blame the problem on Adobe but the bottom line is, I'm left holding the bag as I paid a lot of money for these products and they don't work together. At least Epson will answer the phone and try to help. Adobe do "NOTHING" for you! I've been on here before with this problem with my last Epson Printer. It was a Stylus Photo 1270 and I was told by some wise guy that "it was a 13 year old printer, what do I expect." Well I have a brand new Epson R 3000 and I have the same problem. I'm using CS5 Extended and have all the latest drivers. Here is a link talking about this problem but it doesn't give any solution that works for me: Print settings option unavailable in Print dialog box | Photoshop CS5. I've already done everything it says here! Typical of Adobe ducking their head in the sand! I can get the print settings on other applications like Preview (no problem) which Epson claim, proves the problem lies with Adobe. An Adobe tech. told me on here (last year) that the problem was with Epson as they have to write the driver software to the application (Photoshop), yet Epson claim that the problem is not in the driver but in the application itsalf. Adobe will just bury their head in the sand and act like nobody is home!
Really sick of this crap, neil.

Thanks for getting back to me Gene. I will give that a try if I continue to have problems, but I have found a workaround solution, or at least discovered a glitch. Like I said, when I click the "Print Settings..." button, it fails to open up a Print Settings window, so I have no way of choosing the paper etc.. However, If I switch it from "Photoshop Manages Colors" to "Printer Manages Colors" and then back again, I can then click the "Print Settings..." button and it will open up a Print Settings window (go figure?). If I were to guess I would put the blame on Adobe's printer interface, not the print drivers from Epson. Like I said, this problem has been haunting me for a while on numerous printers. It's intermittent so sometimes it works alright and I forget about it, then it comes back, but now I may have discovered a workaround.
    Cheers, neil.
