Ipad 2 connection

Question

did you know you can connect your ipad 2 to the internet even if its in airplane mode, NO neither did apple talked to 2 different people on apple support and then took a 2 1/2hr round trip to an apple store because i was told by support that i had to get my ipad fixed,
this was becuse i was having connection problems with my ipad, having gone to the apple store they told me it was my router and to reset it, this caused a world of pain in itself but i hope to have sorted that,
so apple support if your reading this dont let a coustomer drive for over 2 hrs to be told nothing and give you guys support

With few exceptions, Apple does not read these forums.  It is mostly people here like me with too much time on our hands!
If your iPad was able to connect to the WiFi system at the Apple store, it verifies that the iPad is working correctly.  It is possible that the Apple Store was right, although resetting may not be all your Wifi router needs. Some models, especially older ones, are not up-to-date.  If you contact the router manufacturer, there might be a change to its setup or a firmware update that will correct the problem.
Net time you have a problem, you can save the long trip to the Apple Store if you can find an Apple Authorized Repair Center nearby.  There may be one in your city.  <Apple Authorized Repair Centers>
