Ipad 2 error 3014 - I did EVERYTHING

Well another error 3014 when I attempt to restore my ipad 2. Its correctly at the latest iOS version.
I switched off all security software and even used a different internet connection.
On both connections I attempted to ping the IP address of the apple update server (shown on apple`s own error 3014 page) and each time go a timeout request (100% loss of packets and nothing returned from the server).

Have you done this? Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"

  • Today I tried to update to IOS 8 on my ipad 4. I thought I was doing everything right. I did it through itunes. I backed up before starting. It now is frozen. itunes says it's in recovery mode.get error 3014. HELP!

Today I tried to update to IOS 8 on my ipad 4. I thought I was doing everything right. I did it through itunes.  I updated iTunes to 11.4.  I backed up before starting. It now is frozen. itunes says it's in recovery mode. The only options it gives me is to Restore so I say ok... after a few seconds  I get get error 3014.  It says this ipad can not be restored.  It has a button to click for more info which leads me to this page:  Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"
Please help, I have a back up I just can't get to it.  Why did this happen!!!
    HELP!

I have since tried a few more things... suggestions found online...
I tried using another computer, same house same internet link though... it downloaded the update again, took about an hour & a half but as soon as it finished it said it could not restore because "device could not be found".  I unplugged my ipad then plugged it back in so it would "see"  it but it just went right back to the "ipad in recovery mode needs to be restored"... then the same error 3014.
I don't know if the computer can sense the ipad or what's going on.  On the screen when it wants to do the restore it has an icon of an ipad & it says "Serial Number: n/a
The next thing I tried...  was right clicking iTunes & choosing "Run as Administrator".  It started another hour & a half download of the update... but then when it was done it went right back to the error 3014.
Is there nothing that can help?!?

I even tryed to check my host file, everything seems fine, I even tryied to update with Antivirus and Firewall disabled... nothing seems to work, and the question I keep asking is, can my Ipad 2 even update to ver 5.0.1?

  • Error 3014 when updating iPhone and iPad OS

I keep getting the 3014 error when trying to update the OS on my iPhone 4 and iPad.  Tried disabling Windows 7 Firewall and Anti-Virus softwarebut still get the error.

Tried pretty much everything on the list, and still get the error.  is it possible that my Wireless ISP is blocking something?  I noticed last night that I can no longer upload photos to my Fototime account, or to Facebook

  • After trying to upgrade, I got the error 3014 and now I can't get the iPad to do anything. It continually shows the "plug in to iTunes" icon.  How do I get past this problem?

Can't restore, can't power off, and pc can't detect iPad.  Error code 3014 when trying to upgrade.  Can't even restore to original settings. Opened Hosts files and I did not see 127....gs.apple.com, or other suggested files.  Pls help.

Did you see the very end of this about not having enough space left on your computer specific to therror code 3014?
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.
Error 3002: If you experience this error while updating an iPod touch (2nd generation) or iPhone 3G, please use the standard update or restore process in iTunes (click Update or Restore).
Error 3014 may indicate that you need to free up more disk space on the computer before trying to restore again.

  • My MB Pro is no longer syncing my iPad in iTunes. It did in the beginning, however I had to change my MB Pro password. Now I get a permissions error message trying to sync: "error storing your authorization information on this computer." Can you help?

First I would just try deleting the SCInfo folder, restart your computer, open itunes and see if you are still getting the error, at that point if you are it is a permissions error with the computer specificaly and not in itunes.

that is for deleting the scinfo folder. scroll to the bottom of the article and the steps are there

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
    Apple - iPod Repair price
A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.
iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens
    Replace the jack yourself

  • My itunes can't see my new ipad ..did everything what day said on the apple web and still nothing ..help

my itunes can't see my new ipad ..did everything what day said on the apple web and still nothing ..help.....

    What is "everything"?
First, be sure you are using the most recent version of iTunes.
Use a different cable and USB port.
You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • TS1538 Itunes will not recognize my ipad 1 anymore. Did everything it told me to check and still will not recognize it.

my itunes will not recognize my ipad anymore. Did everything it told me too. What can I do now.

Have you tried here >  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
    If so...
Try a Restart of your Computer and this Reset for the iPad...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons..

    Not knowing what everything is:
Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build" - Apple Support
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You will not be able to see what version you are running until the iPad is activated. It will be in Settings>General>About >Version when you can get to the settings app.
The slider bar that you are describing sounds like the screen lock side switch and that has no bearing on setting up the iPad or connecting to WiFi.
Why don't you try rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again and see if the iPad will recognize and join the network.

  • HT201210 I did everything to deal with "error 21" and still doesn't work.

My iphone still with the image in front "connect to itunes". I dont know why, because I did everything about the resolution of "error 21". Please somebody help me to deal with it.

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694  since you have tried everything.  The link states that it could be a hardware problem and may require service.  So you will need to make an appointment with Apple and take your phone in and have the Genius Bar take a look at it.
