Ipad 2 fault. Is it worth to get a replacement?
Hi all, I am currently haven't some issues with my iPad ever since I brought brand new at the start of November 2013. The first thing I noticed was that my apps kept crashing regularly, my friends iPad new does this so I thought it was my iPad. Like 5-10 times a day my apps would crash. Then my iPads on and off button had to be continually pushed until it would turn on . Then it started to shut down and start itself up again all on its own. Another one is when I go to push the upper case key on the keyboard it would cause a flash of lines to go across the screen. Next one is that there would be random/different faults that would only show once or twice. Any feedback on this would be super helpful

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and, if the problem goes away, then synching your apps. You'll lose the app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, that should cure it.
If none of that helps, your device may have developed a hardware fault and will need to be take or sent to Apple. I'd be a bit reluctant to put money toward another iPad 2 and would put the money toward a newer-generation iPad instead, but it's your call. The iPad 2 is still a very worthwhile device, so the replacement price might still be worth it to you rather than having to come up with more for a newer model.

After ios5 upgrade can no longer increase font size on iPad or iPhone, any suggestions apart from getting a new pair of glasses! Also, the backlight on the iPad isn't as bright as before the upgrade, any ideas?

The filename is whatever is set to be the background fill of the site (I presume the desktop background fill, if mobile versions are set to be different). I've tried a number of different files, sizes and types/formats and the result is still the same, so as far as I can tell it's not the file itself causing the issue...
It uploads all pages (desktop, tablet and phone versions), .css files and .html files, and even the favicon .ico file but then hangs on the first image file, which incidentally is the background fill image.
The total number of files is said to be 154. It gets stuck on file number 24.
Yes the "Resume" dialog appears and upon clicking it just attempts to continue from the hang at the first image file (apparently 66% of the way through).
Re: the "BC site has changed" part - I thought as much but figured worth reporting.
... Incidentally, as I've written this reply, I left the "Resume" dialog open (ie neither clicking "resume" or "cancel" and just as I've finished typing it appears to have published the site successfully?!! (I must've left it for roughly 5 minutes)
Bizarre behaviour... I'm not sure if this will repeat itself with other sites but I'm sure there's a bug here that needs looking at regardless...?!

I have inherited my partner's old iPhone and iPad. I have successfully created a new iTunes account and got my user name and passwords accepted on both devices. However, I don't know how to change the user details for iCloud on the iPhone. I have done it (I think!!) on the iPad but would appreciate any help for getting my details for iCloud onto the iPhone so I can start sharing photos between the two devices.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID) -
I am synching my ipad and iphone with icloud. Events put in calendar on ipad go to the iphone calendar,, but if i enter an event on the iphone calendar, it does not go to the ipad. What do i do to get this to work both ways?

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

Hi mike,
Seems like a frustrating problem! Try restarting your device, and trying again. If that doesn't work, in settings, under store, tap your apple id at the bottom of the page, and then sign out. Sign back in again, and try again.
Also, check you have enough remaining space on your iPad for the app you want to download, you can do this in settings, then general, then usage.
I also reccomend buying the app in iTunes on your computer, and then syncing it to your device.

I have the original ipad (OS 5.1.1) using pages 1.7.2 and backing up to icloud. If I open up one of the docs from icloud, I can no longer open it on my ipad. Looks like the pages version gets updated to a version that is incompatible with my ipad. Is there anyway stopping icloud from changing the version and is there a way to recover the old version of the document on my ipad?

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard. -

I have an Ipad 2. I am trying to sync my ipad to the itunes library, but I get an error message - saying the itunes library is full. How can that be? I've deleted lots from the library to see if that would help - but it still states I am about 25gb short. Can anyone help what to do?
Could any of the music have been sourced on an external USB drive or a network drive? In iTunes, go to one of the songs that won't sync. Bring up the info page, and look at the location of that song on the disk. Does that file and path exist? That could be your problem, especially if they were on a USB drive you forgot about.

I'm also sorry that you purchased a phone that you are having trouble with. If the vendor cannot help you (HTC), and the eBay seller cannot help you, then you really do need to either follow up with the forums Ken suggests, or the HTC forum, or with eBay.

Hi, I own a I phone 4, a ipad 1 and just purchased a ipad 3, I have 15g worth of icould data but my photostream doesn't stream all of my photos to my new ipad when connected to wifi???? It appears to be streaming photos from the last 10 or so days but no more? I have enough storage on my new ipad??
Photo Stream does not count towards your iCloud storage plan.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 Photos in the Photo Stream album. Only photos taken within the last thirty days and since Photo Stream was activated will be synced. -
I recently bought a MacBook Air. I migrated the info from my old MacBook to the new Air. None of my contacts migrated. I still have them on my old Macbook, Ipad and iPhone. How do I get them to the new Air?
You can copy the iWeb application from the desktop machine to your new MBA. But if it's iWeb 2 it won't work with Mavericks or Mt. Lion. Also copy the Domain.sites file from the desktop to your MBA as that's the file with your webstite files in it.
