IPad 2 future

I'm still contemplating 2 vs. 3. I don't see that much difference in quality for my needs. But if 2 will start to become obsolete within the near future for updates then that's something to consider. Would somene offer me some advice on that.

It's likely that at some point Apple will stop releasing updates for the iPad 2, but when that will be, none of us here can say. If you want to be protected from such stopping for longer (it will probably happen with the new iPad eventually), then buy the new iPad.
Regards.

  • How can I save my cv to my iPad  for future job applications

Hello everybody ! I want to know how can I save my cv to my iPad I want to apply a job but can't attach my cv to the job application. Can anybody help me pls....

Absolutely. Once you've moved a PDF to Reader, you don't need an Internet connection.
    Here's how to do that:

  • Material Availability Check for material launched in the future

    This is the requirement;
We are launching a product in the future. Lets use August 19th as our launch date This means that on August 19th our material can be goods issued. It cannot be shipped before then. There is no loading time etc. so our GI date usually = our material availability date
Our production & procurement activities are executed allowing us to build our stocks so we have on hand stock of the material. We are receiving customer orders. Availability check is run and it is being confirmed for dates before the GI date (As we have stock in the system). For example, a sales order is created with a requested delivery date = 19th August; Would be acceptable if there was no transit time. But what if there is a route determined with a transit time for 2 days. This brings us to a material availability date of 17th August (And therefore a GI date of 17th August) which is before our product launch date. This needs to be avoided; the earliest material availability date must be 19th August as this will then be the earliest GI date.
Therefore, the requirement is that availability is not confirmed for a date before our launch date. But is confirmed for the launch date.
For example, how do Apple launch their products (like iPads)in future dates but entertain customer orders well before the date & then confirm the future dates to end customers? At the time when they receive the orders from end customers, I am sure that they would be holding stock of sufficient iPads for future deliveries.

There may be more than one way you can fulfill the requirement. First is use of user exit. In enhancement ATP00001 (User exits in the availabity check), you can try using EXIT_SAPLATPC_002 (processing results of actual check). Here you can add logic that if the system date is less than Aug 19th 2011, then propse confirm date (material available date) as 19th of August 2011.
The second option would be use of Replishment time (RLT) in the material master MRP3 view. You can maintain certains days to match August 19th (of course you need to reduct one day when the days go-by). At the same time in t.code OVZ9, you need to uncheck the box check without RLT for the combination of availability check rule and availabity check group. After August 19th, you can check the box again after removing the RLT time in material master. My preference is to go with first option.

  • How do I save something downloaded in safari to the ipad

I downloaded a operators manual to my ipad using safari. I do not know how to save the manual to my ipad from safari. What I am trying to do is to keep the manual on the ipad for future use without having to download it in safari each time. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am technology challenged.

An owners manual was most likely in PDF format. If so, once it has downloaded and you are viewing it within Safari, you should be able to tap "Open in iBooks" in the top right corner. This will open the iBooks App where the manual will be permanently saved. I have dozens of manuals on my iPad using this method.

  • IPad quality issue

I just bought a new iPad at Future Shop yesterday. Today I found that the front camera is not working. I'm wondering whether they will replace a new one to me. Cause I heard sometimes they replace you a refurbished one.
I don't want to spend the same amount money as new iPad to get a refurbished iPad.

Take it back and find out.

  • HT4539 How to update iso 6 on iPad 2

Can an IPad 2 be updated to iOS 6? If so, how do you do it?

It can, and as your tagline says that you are on iOS 4.3.1 then you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes - when you've updated you will get a Settings > General > Software Update option appear on the iPad allowing future updates to be done directly on the iPad.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button
    Updating to iOS 5+ : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
iOS 6 will remove the built-in YouTube app and the Maps app will change.

  • IPad has frozen 4x in a week, have to run battery down to reboot

Four times in a week on vacation screen has frozen, can't turn off, reboot, etc.  Have to wait. For sometimes 90% to wear off into the night.  Frustrating?  Anyone else with this??

Reset iPad in future; no need to run battery down.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • IPad won't rotate. Lock is off both on switch and settings. Reset with no joy.

Need help with rotate on iPad II

For future reference, you might wish to keep in mind that the rotation lock control and system sound control are really confusing.  Originally, the side switch was used for rotation lock control (and a soft switch for system sounds) but IOS-3 changed the switch so that it controlled system sounds in order to keep consistency among IOS devices (a soft switch controlled rotation lock).  Then, for IOS-4, Apple made a serious mistake in attempting to pacify some whiners that actually claimed that they turned auto-rotate on and off fifty times/day and consequently the side switch is mandatory.  The result is real disaster.
The following is a C&P from a post made by Demo.  It's a better explanation that I can come up with.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • HT1390 I have downloaded a movie on my MacBook, how do I get onto my iPad automatically? Can I do this?

    Hi,
I regularly buy movies and rent through my Apple Tv or iPad, but tomorrow I want show them through a projector for a family party. For ease of connection to the Projector I have bought two movies through my MacBook on iTunes. How can I get these onto my iPad for future use as we use this in the car for the kids on long journeys?
Is there a way of having it set up that they will automatically download to my iPad? I do subscribe to the iCloud for music also.
Or do I just go on my iPad and download them again, or will this mean I get charged twice? Confused...
    Thanks for any help,

  • HT4946 how can I save videos from my iPad/iPhone camera roll to my computer or hard drive

As per above, I am searching for a way to save camera roll videos and pictures to my PC computer or external hard drive as my iPad is full.  If I need to I would also need to import them back on my iPad in future.

kewl man has given you one option to move the photos and videos to your computer. You can also use Photo WiFi Transfer apps to move the photos and videos to your computer.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wireless-transfer-app-share/id543119010?mt=8
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-manager-pro/id393858562?mt=8
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-transfer-wifi-quickly/id674978018?mt=8
Once the photos are on your computer, you can place them into folders that you can sync back to the iPad or just use the WiFi apps to transfer the photos back to the iPad.

  • HT4060 how long should a full charge last on the Ipad

I received my Ipad from future shop yesterday and at 6pm the battery was 89% full.   At 10am this morning it was dead.    I have charged it from 1pm today and at 6pm it was 78% is this normal?

No. That's not normal. If you have Push notifications turned on for email and if you have multiple email accounts on the iPad that will drain the battery a little faster. Any notifications will drain the battery a little faster. Other than that, when the iPad is in sleep mode, the battery shouldn't drain at all overnight.
I get about 9-10 hours a day out of a full charge. I charge my iPad every night because I use it all day long and it needs a charge by the end of the day.

  • Help with ios 4.2 iPad direct download

Can not upgrade to ios 4.2 (or greater) thru my PC iTunes. Step by step help for direct download to my iPad? I need it updated to support several apps and the sites I've recently seen! When I click on "iPad" link for download, nothing happens?  Thanks so much!

You need iTunes 10.5 on your computer in order to update to the current iOS 5 version - and you need to download the update via your computer and then update via your computer's iTunes, you can't download and update directly on the iPad (though future updates should be possible that way after you've got iOS 5 installed).
If you are on iTunes 10.5, then with your iPad connected to it and selected on its left-hand side, what happens when you click on Check For Updates button on the Summary tab on the right-hand side of iTunes ?
This post has the direct download links for iOS 5 - if you want a lower version then they are on this page. When you've downloaded the update then on Windows press and hold the shift key when clicking the Check For Updates button which should let you navigate to the downloaded file. Make sure that you copy your purchases off the iPad first (File > Transfer Purchases when connected to your computer's iTunes), backup the device (right-click the 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, file, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab in iTunes, wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe

  • Dust under my New iPad

I bought an new iPad from future shop but it has been14 days already and i accidentlly found out that there is a dust under the screen(not screen protector) it is really annoying!! is it possible to exchange a brand new iPad if I bring my iPad back to the apple store? And do I have to go back to where I bought it? Or any apple store it's fine? And if it is possible to exchange a new one do I have to bring all my chager, USB line back? (i heard that if there is really an issue and they allow you to exchang the new one the apple store will exchang a new iPad in a brown box without the charger) dose any one have same experiences before? Thanks

    Hello:
The warranty should be good anywhere.  I would take the device back where you purchased it.  That vendor should address your issue(s).

  • HT5192 I am trying to update ios5 and it says to go to settings, general then software updates but software updates is not there.

    Can anyone help?

What version of iOS are you currently on (Settings > General > About > Version) ? If you are on iOS 4 or below then you can only update via your computer's iTunes, it is only after you have iOS 5+ on the iPad that future updates can be done directly on the iPad via Settings > General

  • My iCloud is not yet verified, can I change the Apple ID used for the iCloud?

    Hello all,
Recently I setup a new iPad, using 2 AppleIDs.  But accidentally I could not access to the ID used for iCloud, it was said wrong password.  I tried all ways to reset it but unsuccessful. No email is sent to rescue email which is the other email address for #2 Apple ID.
Checking at the iCloud, it is said "Account not verified, check your email at <my email address> for instructions to verify this account" and all options on this iCloud window is unable to be accessed.  I accessed the email to verify the address but it still alerts the same (account not verified).
To avoid problems in locking my iPad in future (if pass code typed wrongly many times), I now want to change iCloud ID.  Please help advise how I could do it.
    Thanks alot for your help.
    @nhihoang

Did it work for you? I tried it, and the Restore to factory settings will allow you to chose a new iCloud ID, but if you then restore from a backup to get your data & settings back, it will revert back to the old iCloud ID.
