Ipad 2 hanged while updating

while updating IOS today 04 july 14 with latest updates over WiFi it got hang, wats the solution

What do you men 'it got hang', what are you seeing on your iPad's screen ?
If it's frozen on the Apple icon with a progress bar then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot.
If that doesn't fix it then try recovery mode and then restore/resync your content to it : If you can't update or restore your iOS device

Are you following these instructions?
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

• Sir, i have apple macbook the old not it is neither  pro nor air it is a simple one . it is running on mac 10.5.6 and i am not able to update it to 10.5.8 it hangs while updating so please help

sir i cant update my macbook to mac os x 10.5.8 . it hangs wile updating and i am looking for a better update . knidly reply thanks

Some general advice on updating Leopard:
It is worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, as they have all been extensively beta-tested, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first to an external hard disk. Ideally you should always have a bootable clone of your system that enables you to revert to the previous pre-update state.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
Disconnect all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site.
The Combo updater of Leopard 10.5.8 can be found here:
http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update
If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.
Full details about the 10.5.8 update here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3606
More information on using Software Updater here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24901?viewlocale=en_US
Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.5.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
Now proceed as follows:
4. Close all applications and turn off energy saving and screensaver.
5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious! In fact a second restart can be recommended.
9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them compliant with the latest version of your operating system. Give them a week or two while you regularly check their websites for updates.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.
Lastly, Apple's own article on the subject of Software Update may also be useful reading:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106695
If you are updating Safari (or just have):
Input Managers from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up.  If you have installed an OS update and Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level /Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party add-on.
Additional tips on software installation here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106692
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for  problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
/Library/InputManagers
~/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates (they can always be added back one-by-one later).

• Itunes 11.3 on win 8.1 hangs while updating podcasts

While updating my podcasts, itunes is not accepting any input for up to several minutes in a row. Actual start of the update is delayed for this time.I am using itunes 11.3 on win 8.1. The win task manager indicates, itunes is consuming CPU time, however it is also in "inactive" status.
Looks to me, it is "active waiting" for something.
My internet connection is 50MBit/s, other programs accessing the internet are working just fine (so I do not assume any DNS resolver issue or somthing like that). Downloads are in the expected speed range.
Any advice?

That seems to help only partially - I eliminated (that is actually removed all dead Feeds from my library. However there still is a significant period, where iTunes is not responding to any Input.
My guts Feeling is - the period has shrunken, however I have no measurements on that.
All in all - Situation is not satisfying, is it?
Peter

• Installed lates version of iTunes. Now it hangs 'while updating library' Any ideas?

Running iTunes for Windows, on 64-bit Vista PC. I tried uninstalling iTunes and re-installing, but it still stops running while 'updating itunes library'.

I searched this forum for simlar problems. I found:
Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interfence with plug-ins or scrpits not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down the Shift and Control keys while opening iTunes. If performed correctly, you should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
After clicking Continue, determine whether the issue you were experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you see the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the Create a New User Account section below. If you do not experience the same issue, consult iTunes: Troubleshooting issues with third-party iTunes plug-ins for steps on how to remove thrid-party plug-ins.
The library fully updated after a few seconds. I then closed iTunes and started it normally. It runs fine now. I'm not sure what caused the problem, but it was fixed. I hope it works for you. For the full article click:

• My ipad froze while updating cant turn off, any suggestions

my ipad froze during update. cant turn off. any suggestions?

If you're sure that the update isn't still happening then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

• TS3694 ipad stuck while updating software

Tried to upate software and the ipad is frozen with the connect to itunes message.  No online solutions work !

Your iPad is in recovery mode and must be restore using iTunes. You were not able to do this successfully?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad.

• ITunes deleted my iPad drivers while updating software

If anyone can offer any insight into my problem, I would be so appreciative! I apologize for my lack of computer-savvy in advance.
I plugged my iPad2 into my computer (Windows Vista OS) to sync it, since I hadn't done that in about a month. iTunes informed me that a new iOS update was available, so I installed it. After iTunes prepared the iPad for the install, I received Error Message 1602 and the iPad screen displayed the "plug the USB into iTunes" icon. I followed the online troubleshooting instructions, but the iPad is undetectable by iTunes. Windows does recognize the iPad, and it asks for the recovery disc. If I had a recovery disc, I left it at home before I set off to China with the Peace Corps. I believe the closest Apple Store is in Shanghai, which will be impossible for me to get to.
The only thing my iPad will do now is show that "plug in the USB to iTunes" icon. If I try to put it in recovery mode, I only get that icon, and never the sliding bar. I don't know what to do! It would just kill me to have a worthless iPad sitting around my apartment until I can go back to America in two years. Does anyone know of anything I can do to get my iPad back?
Thanks,
Grace

If you didn't backup the iPad BEFORE you upgraded to IOS5, the photos have been lost to the cosmos.
The upgrade erases your disk/flash.    Sorry.

• IPad froze while updating to 5.1

I connected my iPad to my Mac and was notified there was an update to iOS 5. I clicked on update. It took forever to download and now I cannot close iTunes and my iPad shows a picture of the initial screen telling me to connect it to iTunes. Its been a couple of hours and nothing has changed. Any suggestions? I tried turning it off, but it won't turn off.

You could try a hard reset - - hold the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider . That may let you restart the device, but I get the feeling that the "connect to iTunes" image will be on the screen when the iPad does boot up.
You might be best served going right into recovery mode. More than likely, you will need to do this anyway. Read this article and follow the steps to get back on track.

• MacBook hangs while "Updating Boot Caches"

Hi there,
sometimes when I'm turning my MacBook off, the following message appears:
Updating Boot Caches
Caches needed for booting are being updated
And another line saying something like "as soon as the caches are updated system will be turned off"
The problem is that, even after some minutes, nothing happens, the message is still there and I'm forced to turn the MacBook off by holding the power button...
Any idea about the meaning of the message and the reason of the hanging?
Thanks in advance and Ciao!
