IPad 2 HDMI output no longer works since iOS 6 was installed

Hi everyone,
I need some help here,
I have a pretty old HD TV equipped with HDMI input ports, I was able to use my iPad 2 to do Video mirroring or anything else for that matter while the iPad 2 was operation with iOS 5.1.1, since I upgraded to the iOS 6 I'm no longer able to see the ipad home screen or videos like, Netflix, YouTube, basically anything my ipad was displaying, not my TV doesn't even detects a signal.
Are there any useful information that yous can share, I'm going crazy here as my two young kids want to watch their favorite show on Netflix through the big TV.
This has caused some discomfort and I wish I can find some help to fix it.
I appreciate your help.

Don't remember if I tried while running 5.1. Now that I have 6.0.1, I can still mirror, but the whole screen is pink on this Dell TV. When I make the connection from ipad to the tv, mirroring starts immediately and the notification bar on the ipad home screen pulsates from blue to black and the cable is detected. I have sound and video working fine except for the colors. The ipad detects the AV Composite cable under settings>about but there is no TV out setting under General Settings where I'm supposed to see TV OUT listed under iTunes Wi-Fi sync. I have changed the hdmi to a new one, but it didn't help. I also have a new Panasonic Viera tv and everything (with the same cables) works perfectly on that TV. Leads me to believe it's an issue with the TV OUT function of the ipad. I don't know if any of this is helfpul information, but I thought it might help you narrow down what is going on with your setup.

You mention that your iPod nano is no longer recognized by iTunes after an update. Reinstalling iTunes is a good troubleshooting step, and if the device still doesn't appear in iTunes, try the following steps next:
Turn off your computer and your iOS device or iPod, then turn them on again.
Check to make sure that you've installed all required updates for your computer.
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might work only to charge those products and might not transmit data. Also, if you're using a third-party case or extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.

IPad 2 hdmi connector no longer works with iOS 7.3

Hi any one else had this issue? I have always connected my iPad 2 to my tv via a apple made hdmi connector, used mainly for fils on netflix eat. Since firmware updated to 7.3 this no longer works. Is this anther apple issue? My wife has an iPad 3, pre lightening and the "official" adapter has never works just get a message that states the attached accessory is not supported.... Any ideas anyone???

The app store no longer works since iOS 5.1 update?

Ever since I did the most recent iOS Update for my iPod Touch 4G (purchased Dec 2010), the app store no longer works. I know for a fact it is NOT a billing problem with missmatched security code on my credit card. I had that before and resolved it.
This time, it seems that when I download an update to an app or a new app, it starts to download and then says "Waiting..." but in eternity. The download doesn't commence. I already tried resetting the network, powering off and on, deleting the apps and readding them as new and using different WiFi networks (FOUR) to make sure that wasn't the issue. Nothing seems to fix this.
Any suggestions?

Yoga 13 HDMI output no longer works after Windows 8.1 update

I recently updated to Windows 8.1 (big mistake!), and I am suddenly no loger able to connect my Yoga 13 to my Samsung TV through the HDMI output. When I connect the cable, the laptop screen is deactivated; the TV registers a signal, but displays a black screen with no audio. I was able to duplicate displays (even though the TV remained black), and the Screen Resolution dialogue said that no external display was detected.
I've already upgraded to all of the latest drivers, to no avail. I can't seem to find a solution on the forum or anywhere else. Anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

HT4882 This no longer seems to work since Lion was installed and still not with Mountain Lion.

It seems this feature has stopped working only since Lion (now Mountain Lion)was installed. I wil try an old copy of an earlier OS as an external boot to check but this appears to be anOS upgrade problem.

The Swedish site you've linked is discussing .xmodmap, which is a hidden (hidden because of that leading dot) configuration file in your login home directory that's used to customize settings for the keyboard mapping within X11.
I'd expect the XQuartz tool to read ~/.xmodmap in your login directory as part of its initialization sequence.
The xmodmap tool (no leading dot, and not a hidden file) is an application that's used to process the configuration file.
When you invoke xmodmap (the tool), you either need to specify the full path /usr/X11/bin/xmodmap for it to be found and invoked, or you need to have the /usr/X11/bin/ directory added to your PATH. Your PATH is the list of directories where OS X looks for the tools you're invoking.
If the xmodmap tool is not working, are there any diagnostics? Or is XQuartz not honoring the request? (If so, see if it will honor the setting made via the .xmodmap configuration file.)

HDMI Output no longer working

My dad just recently bought a brand new Mac Mini running Yosemite 10.10.1. He's had it plugged into our Sony Bravia TV in order to watch movies, and it worked fine for a couple of days. Then today it suddenly stopped working. We've rebooted the computer several times, tried different HDMI ports on the TV, nothing. When I plugged the HDMI cable into my laptop (Windows), it worked fine, so there's nothing wrong with the cable or the TV. There must be a setting on the Mac Mini that we can fix.
While the TV is on another input, when we insert the HDMI cable into one of the ports, the screen on the Mac Mini flashes, and a settings window comes up regarding the two displays (the monitor and the TV). However, once the TV input is switched to the HDMI port that the cable is plugged into, we lose the signal from the Mac Mini.
Dad did say that earlier today, when he was in the display settings, he selected to optimize the display for the TV instead of the monitor, and that's when he first lost signal via HDMI, and we haven't been able to get it back since.
Looking for someone who is either familiar with the problem and has the solution, or someone who is willing to work with me to figure it out.

PowerPC Applications are no longer supported since Lion was installed

Would someone please tell me what this is all about? My applications are not runnning since I downloaded Lion. Why would Apple do this? Why are they forcing me to purchase new software? Isn't a Mac Pro supposed to handle these applications? Why would they make an OS like this?
Please tell me that I am doing something wrong here and Apple is not costing me a fortune in new software.

iPad audio output does not work, except for on Siri. The mute button is not on, and the volume buttons have no effect/ don't work (unless Siri is open). I have reset the iPad, tried iOS7 and iOS8 resets, which didn't help. The audio output mostly works when headphones are out in, but has a tendency to cut out from time to time. Without headphones, Audio might start working again briefly from time to time, but most the time it doesn't. Any ideas on what is wrong with it and how to fix it?
my iPad is a 3rd gen, 16GB wifi only model, if that helps

iOS 8 isn't even out yet. If you are running iOS 8, I assume you are a developer and if you are, you are in the wrong forum to try to get help. If you are not a developer and you're running iOS 8, maybe that's why you are having problems on the iPad.

The type that I made bold doesn't make sense. Is this a typo and you mean that " headphones are not in"?

And you know they are incorrect because you get sound here and there from time to time? That fact doesn't prove that something isn't working correctly inside. You could very well have a bad connection inside the device causing this, but somehow you seem to know that's not the case.

I noticed that Find My iPhone on iCloud hasn't worked since iOS 8 came out. My device uses iOS 7. My question is: do I need to upgrade my device? If not, what should I do? I do not wish to upgrade my device.

I noticed that Find My iPhone on iCloud hasn't worked since iOS 8 came out. Whenever I try to use it, it always says "All Devices Offline." This is regardless of whether I am in a good Wi-Fi zone or not. I like to use Find My iPhone to remotely track my battery charging status whenever my phone is charging in a different room. That's been really handy, which is why I really need to get this fixed. No matter what computer I use, the problem is always the same.
My device uses iOS 7. My question is: do I need to upgrade my device? If not, what should I do? I do not wish to upgrade my device, especially considering the bad things I've heard about iOS 8.

You don't need to update to iOS 8 to use Find My iPhone. If you haven't already tried, go to Settings>iCloud>Find My iPhone and turn it off, then reset your phone (hold the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release). After it restarts, turn Find My iPhone back on and see if it works properly now.

Well, I for one really hate when they change this stuff. They get us used to doing it one way for years and then they change it. Why? Really, seriously, truly......WHY?
In fact, I originally noticed it had changed and then when I'd hit it, I thought it required me to touch both so I ended up with an apostrophe but then also a letter "l". I just left commas everywhere I went for a while cuz it ticked me off so bad I just rebelled.
In ios5 it was actually faster because it's the same move and time involved, but without the extra "slide". So, in essence, Apple went backwards.
