IPad 2, iCal month of march 2013 quits App!
When selecting month of march 2013 in iCal of my iPad 2 (out of year, month or week..) the App quits. The month is empty, no data have been transfered in this month to iPad out of iCloud or MacPro. All other months are OK, also my iPhone 3GS doesn't show any difficulties in the month of march... please help!
there is a number of threads about March 2013 on iPad. Seems to be a bug.
Some say that removing whole day event on 1st April 2013 (Easter Monday) removes the problem.

My ical on ipad 3 works fine except when I open the month of March 2013 it crashes/closes down immediately. All other months work, even into the future. Even Feb and April etc. in 2013. How can I fix?
I understand it's a glitch. If you have any events on april 1 2012 i believe,t hat's an all day app, delete it or make it for just a period of time, not all day.
I think it has something to do with daylight savings time (but don't quote me on that) with the conflict betwen 'all day' and the ipad trying to figure out how long 'all day' is with that whole spring forward and lose an hour. removing any 'all day' appointments seem to remove that conflict. -
Since 6 download on my iPad, in Calendar the month of March 2013 missing
Since the 6 download on my iPad, in Calendar the month of March 2013 will not come up. Preceding months and following months are OK. Can anyone throw any light upon this?
This bug seems to be fixed in iOS 6.1.

I have a new iPad3 and have found I cannot open the month of March 2013 when I tap on it. All other months open OK ! I can see March 2013 in the yearly view and I can open the individual days, and weeks, of March 2013 but I cannot see the whole month in the monthly view. When I try to open the monthly view for March 2013 it returns me to the start screen which shows all the apps etc and closes the Calendar app. Any guidance of what is going wrong and how it can be corrected. Thanks !
Don't worry we have to start somewhere. Feel free to post your questions here, we learn from each other.

Hmm.....
New iPad, not been fiddled with in any way. When I use calendar, everything is fine except when I try to view march 2013 in month view, whether by switching to "month" from a march day view, or by moving from another month already in month view.
The application just closes down. No issues with data loss. No issues with same calendar data on my mac or iPhone.
I've reset to factory setting and restored but it persists.
Any thoughts? Thanks, Andrew. The workaround for this is to remove any all day events from April 1 or change from all day to something other than all day event.
The update to iOS 6.1 is supposed to have fixed the bug according to some of those that have posted today. -
HT2693 Apple Calendar - when selecting March 2013 the app shuts down.
Using Apples calendar app on my ipad 2, selecting March 2013 by any means available causes the app to shut down, can anyone help resolve this problem. I have tried all fix suggestions from Apple to no avail.
Do not use All Day event. It is due to Daylight saving around that time.
It's a known issue.

Need help
Select Settings>General>About and look at Version. This will show what version of iOS is installed. Post back with the version & then we can provide some suggestions.

In order to cure the problem on my iPad of the month of March 2013 only causing the Calendar to close, I amended all "All Day" events on April 1 to timed events. Now my Calendar will not open, although my Calendar on an iPad 2 and on iPhones 5 & 4 work perfectly. I have tried turning iPad off/on, but no effect. Any ideas please?
I'm having the same issue with my 3rd gen iPad too. I always viewed my calendar in month view. It won't even open since it's stuck on month view.
I've quit the app (properly closing via taskbar) and re-opened - crashes immediatly.
Quit the app and rebooted (via holding home/power buttons until restart) and opened - still crashes immediatly.
Anyone know how I'm able to get access to the app so I can change all day events to timed events in April. Is it just April 1st or all of April? I haven't even opened my iPhones iCal yet to see if it's having the same issue.
Also, not sure if this will work but iCal on my mac wireless syncs my calendar events. I'm wondering if I change April 1st all day events to timed events whether it'll sync and fix the issue of crashing? -
iCal not displaying March 2013 only in the UK. Any ideas as to why?
It's the Tory cuts. March has been cancelled!

TS1702 iPad calendar won't show March in month view.
I'm flicking through the months on my calendar app and when I get to March 2013 the app closes, doesn't matter if I'm going from Feb forward or April back. Day or week view works ok. I have an iPad 2 wi-fi only running iOS 6.1, it,s all up to date. I've tried a friend's iPad 2 with wi-fi and 3G and that has the same problem.
Has anybody else come across this? Is there a simple solution or do we need Apple to come up with an update?I'm replying to my own question! Found the answer in "similar questions". It's down to having all day events on April 1st which in some parts of the world is the beginning of daylight saving time. I made the Easter Monday start at 01:00 and finish at 23:55. Did the trick!
Apparently the system can't handle the fact that April 1st is only 23 hours in some places! Needs sorting really. -
Why does opening March 2013 make my iPad crash?
I can open all months even in 2014. But when opening the month of March 2013, calendar application stops and the iPad shows the main page.
Is there a solution? It's caused by a bug because of daylight saving time adjustment on 31st March in to 1st April.
As a fix, delete any all day events you have for 1st April 2013. You can add then to a time i.e. mid-day to replace them.
Once there are no all day events on 01/04/2013 March will open in all views.
Let me know how you get on. -
ICal stops when clicking on March 2013.
When working in iCal it suddenly stops when I open the month of March 2013. All the other months are not a problem. It only happens with March 2013. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it?

ICal crashes on iPad each time I go to March 2013
Hello all,
I have a slightly odd issue in that my iCal just switches itself off every time I reach March 2013 as I'm scrolling through the months. It's not such an issue at the moment but as a self employed person it's quite important that I am able to access March from my iPad (when the time comes).
The app works fine on all my other devices (macbook pro and iPhone) but doesn't like my iPad.
I thought I could just uninstall the app and then reinstall it but it's one of the "staple" apps that I can't delete and then reinstall (as far as I'm aware)
I'm not massively technically able but any help would be really useful. Thanks!
SuzzieI have exactly same problem. Spoke to Apple support who finally advised to do a backup of iPad then wipe everything and restore. Not yet done this but am wondering if it is a problem common to all iPads or just the iPad 1 as mine is? Apple support seemed a little perplexed.
