IPAD 2 IOS5.1 to IOS7.0 hangs ! help

HI folks
I just decided to upgrade my ipad that was running ios5.1 to 7.0 . I used the update option in ipad 2 that has a update option i.e a latest sW. the ipad2 started to do an update then the ipad rebooted . Then it had a apple logo and then a progress bar and can see it moving along . It completed then only a apple logo present. I have waited for more then an hour fo somethng to happen but no joy. I pressed the home button , nothing happened and then the on button , no luck. I then pressed bitgh home and power button and the ipad did turned off and powered on again but can only see the apple logo. Havi I destroyed the running OS.
I have a backup on my itune window 7 PC? Can it be restored to its OS5.1 ? NOt sure what to do next ?
any pointers would be appreciated

Did some more testing. Tried switching the wireless mode of the AP and I have some success. Leaving the iPad in one location I went through all of the available modes for the 2.4 GHz SSID on my AP:

The AP was set to b/g/n mixed mode. It therefore appears that iOS 7 has a problem with anything that isn't 'n' except for b/g/n - likely due to its backwards compatibility with 'b'.
I tired this with several other AP's I had and saw consistant results.
This seems to be a major flaw in iOS 7.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I had to reset it again and use the desktop software reinstalling the entire basic software. On your desktop blackberry software go to the software up date thoght tools and if there are no newer veresions available, chose the botton for las version and intall it.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Downgrading is not an option for an iOS device.

Have you tried this:
(A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings

Since I upgraded my ipad mini to ios7 my battery life has diminished significantly

I've noticed that ever since I upgraded my ipad mini to ios7, the battery runs down much more quickly. I close out of apps when I'm not using them, turned off location services, and took a number of other recommended steps, but it still seems a lot worse than it was on the old OS. Any suggestions? Is there any way to get back to the old OS?

Rolling back is not supported by Apple.
Have you look into background app refresh, background app update and notifications? Turning those off may help.

Just updated my iPad 2 to ios7 and now my screen resolution is terrible...

I tried rebooting several times, but it didn't help. Everything else seems to be working fine. Any suggestions?

Backup before you do it.
Just tried this...did not work. Resolution is still horrible. This is not an issue of it just not looking smooth or sharp. It's so much worse than that. It was actually fine right after the update. The next morning when I turned it on it was messed up.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.

I need to Restore my IPad 2 (with iOS7)

I need to Restore my IPad 2 (with iOS7) but cannot do so as there is no password for my old AppleID to which this IPad has previously been registered. I am prompted for the password when trying to turn off 'Find my IPad' which is necessary in order to restore it.
I have tried to get the password for my old account down all the usual routes, however my old account is not recognised by Apple at all! This was the reason i set a new account up in the first place.
This is mostly affecting my use of ICloud hence the reason I wish to restore my IPad and start over from scratch. Is there anyway of restoring the IPad and overriding the need for a password to turn off 'Find My IPad'??
Please help, this is driving me insane!

If you have iOS6: Double click your home button. The app icons will line up on the bottom of the screen. Scroll sideways if needed to see the mail app. Hold your finger down on it until they all start to wiggle. Tap on the red circle to close the app. Single tap the home button to exit the mode.
If you have iOS7, double click your home button. You'll see the app icons and a preview window for the app. Scroll sideways if needed to access the mail app. Flick the preview window up and off the screen. Single tap the home button or tap on the home page preview to exit the mode
See if Safari will open after that.
