IPad 2 / My screen sometimes doesn't go to sleep.

I have an iPad 2. Ever since I updated to iOS 7 my screen sometimes doesn't sleep. I am using iOS 7.0.4. The auto lock setting is set at 2 minutes.

Hi,
I have my little NB200 since 10 months and everything work properly til the other day.
I never turn off the computer, I use to close it and suspend it. The other day the battery was empy and the computer were suspended so I connect the AC to the computer and everything looks right except for the screen is not turned on,
I reboot the computer and the screen didnt turn on even at the beginning with the bios test. I connected and external monitor and everything is OK, I can see everything but the screen in the laptop continues black.
After one hour or so of using the external monitor, the laptop screen turns on and everything goes right again.
I was thinking that the problem could be some kind of issue with the driver so I recovery to the default state my computer.
5 days ago, the problem appears again. The computer had the battery empty and it was suspended. I connect the AC and I wait for an hour o so and in comes again, but this time, even with the AC connected, after 15 minutos of no using, the screen goes black (as I have configured) but never turn on again. I have to wait again.
Please I need some help because i was thinking that the problem could be the screen. The connection to the screen looks well because if I move the screen does not go on and off.
What could I do?

To be honest its hard to say something but I think it must be a hardware malfunction if you have already recovered Windows to factory settings
Either its a FL inverter malfunction or internal display itself Theoretically it could be also caused from mainboard
In my opinion you should contact an authorized service provider. The guys can check your notebook and make an exact diagnostic If your notebook is under warranty, repair is for free. :)

IPad doesn't go into sleep mode

I have an iPad 2 3G, and it doesn't go into sleep mode when I'm pressing Power button, also it doesn't work through the AssistiveTouch.

It might be worth attempting a restart of the iPad, and then a reset, should restarting fail to resolve the issue.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why after update the latest iOS 4.3, my ipad screen sometimes continues moving and hard to chose or touch the keyboard or icon?

I have the exact same issue. The screen moves up and down just a little so the bars in the top left hand corner are almost hidden. And pressing icons does not work at times. Pressing buttons inside open apps does not work at times or takes forever to execute the command. Also, some apps freeze or open and then suddenly close. I updated all my apps to determine if the cause was an app that is not compatible with the new operating system. This did not work. Is there a way to update again? Could the problem be that the update was corrupted in some way? Any suggestions would be appreciated. It did not happen with my iPhone when I installed the update.

Headphone jack sometimes doesn't work for my ipad air, when watching a video or listening to music the audio in the ear or head phones cuts off. It's definitely not the ear phones it's the ipad because I've tried too many different headphones. It's been 7 months that I've bought it from the apple store so would you be able to fix it. Iphone 5 auto screen-off doesn't work sometimes

it holds on until you don't touch the screen again. My device has already setted 1 minute time for automatic block but sometimes it doesn't work.
Anyone with the same problem?

Same here, 1 time at least that i have notice.
Btw and i had experience the oposite, example: when i press the home button or on/off button to unblock the screen sometimes i have to press more then 3 to 4 times to appear image and unlock....

The Side Switch is to mute your ringers, and most of the application's sound. To totally mute the sound, you must use the rocker to mute it.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset.

New Ipad 2 32gb Screen has a mind of its own!!!!

Hi, i got a ipad 2 32gb today and sometimes the screen seems to have a mind of its own. It switches randomly between different pages without me touching it, I have tried a rstore but it is still doing it. Just wondered if anyone else is having or has had this problem?????

Well that certainly isn't good. One thing I would suggest if you haven't tried already is calibrating the screen. Menu>Settings & Tools>Touch Settings>Calibration. This helps mostly if you are having issues with the screen thinking you are pressing a different part of the screen, but doesn't hurt to try. Also, make sure you have the current software version VX11VKV11. You can check by going to Settings & Tools> Phone Info>SW Version. If you have an older version choose software update. If you are still having issues, then this is a hardware issue and the phone will need to be replaced.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

My ipad mini's screen keeps glitching!!!! HELP!!

i am having a problem with my ipad mini's screen, when i tap in one place, it starts tapping in random places.
for example, when im on the home screen and i slide to the next page it keeps sliding rappidly between pages.
not only that, on camera on video it keeps zooming in and out and stopping and starting videos over and over again.
and also it won't let me tap in certain places!!!

6.1.2 update bricked my iPad Mini - White Screen of Death

I updated to 6.1.2 over wireless. Shortly after, I noticed the battery was draining extremely fast. I followed a suggestion I found here to let the battery drain to 0 and to reset my settings under Settings>General. When the battery was about 50%, I shut it down completely as I wasn't using it and so that it would charge faster (not using battery on standby, etc).
I let it charge for about 4 or 5 hours. When I turned it back on, I got a bright, solid white screen and then it shut off... or so I thought. The device remains warm, as though it was in regular use, but the display is OFF - NOT blank, OFF.
It will not go into Restore or DFU mode, it will not turn back on, it will not do anything.
Waiting on an Apple call in the morning, but once it is replaced, I doubt I will purchase another Apple product, considering the sickening irony that my iPad was functioning fine prior to the update and the VERY UPDATE MEANT TO IMPROVE BATTERY LIFE ACTUALLY KILLED MINE to begin with.
I have very weak faith in Apple at the moment.

Guys, my ipad mini just had the exact same issue yesterday.
It was recently updated (about 1 week ago) to 6.1.2 and since yesterday it just turned into a brick (black screen, no reaction whatsoever,...) .
I tried different chargers & different USB-ligthning cables without any result. Somehow it seems the battery does not have any juice anymore and won't charge either.
My bad luck was that 4 months ago my daughter had the ipad mini dropped on the floor and the screenglass has a small crack. It did not affect any functionality and still worked fine untill yesterday. I went to an official apple store and they told me that the warranty doesn't count on the complete ipad since the screen is cracked/damaged.
Explaining that the crack had nothing to do with the current issue we have did not help.
Now I'm standing here with a 6-month old product which has no warranty and is as death as a brick.
