IPad 2 not accepting my apple id after update to iOS5

So I updated my ipad 2 to iOS5. After it's all done, there's sort of a step by step process before it takes you to the regular interface. After a couple of questions, it asks me for my apple id and password. I give input the info and hit next. On the following screen it says "For your security, your Apple ID login must be an email address" and I have a box to input an email. I give it the one that goes with my apple id and I get a popup notfication saying "This Apple ID is already being used, if this is your account, reset a forgotten password at iforgot.apple.com".
I'm not sure how to proceed here. I checked my ID/pass/email through iTunes. Everything is in order. I have no idea why it's not accepting my ID. Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried what you said. No help! I also have the imdb app, but it still shows my old ID and wants a password to match that, even tho I am signed in on the new password for the app store. Same thing on my ipad on my PC. One difference. On the PC it shows a number for the apps that need to be updated. But when I try to select apps for update at the bottom, it says I need to sign in with the other ID. The first time, it did show the apps themselves. But when I tried to update I got a message saying I did not own the majority share of those apps. Since then it won't even tell me which apps on the PC need update. On ipad2 they still show.
Unlike you, none of my apps show up in the purchased section on my PC itunes. The apps themselves do show and still work, so far. I just can't update.
Did you do anything else to cause your change? Sounds like you are making some progress. You might have stumbled across the answer. If only you could tell me what it is.

i have a problem with my apple tv. after i bought and instaled mountain lion on my mac book pro i have trouble with apple tv and my laptop. when my laptop conects with apple tv most of the time my wifi doesnt work on my macbook but on my apple tv it stil does work. when it does work and i play a movie of my own by using itunes the first second the video and audio is synchrone but after that audio is at normal speed but the video gets behind. and i am getting sick of it. does sumbody reconize the problem and can help me with this problem?????

Same issue here- I can airplay my amazon prime library just fine from my iphone 5 but on my macbook- (mavericks, 15 inch 2013 retina with quad core i7, nvidia 650 M and SSD) it just sputters and lags.
I have noticed web video is considerably worse than local content, giving me pauses of up to 2 or 3 seconds in which video stops but audio continues in the amazon player. Youku video, however, seems relatively stable. Our subscription speed is 25 mbps, so that should be plenty to stream SD video from Amazon and doesn't account for why it would be nice and stable from the iphone, but not the mbp.
Playing light, locally hosted steam sidescrollers like Limbo is better but gives periodic drops in framerate on the Tv. when mirroring the framerate remains steady on the MBP screen.
Games airplayed from my iphone seem relatively stable, though with a noticably lower framerate on the TV than on the phone.
It seems these issues have abated considerably since yesterday's Apple TV update, but are still curious nonetheless and I'm not sure that the update yesterday was specifically meant to address those issues or if I'm just getting a time with less network interference now.
Comcast recently installed a new router/modem/phone combo, replacing our old separate modem and router setup. I'm going to test if putting the network on a different channel helps.

App store will not accept my Apple ID for updates after installing Mavericks?

I have recently installed Mavericks on my Macbook Pro. After installing it the two new updates for iPhoto and iMovie popped up. I click on the 'update' icon and I am prompted for my Apple ID as usual. After entering the correct ID the prompt disappears as if correct, but then re-appears asking for the password again. The prompt does not actually say that the wrong Apple ID or password has been entered. The updates do not install and the prompt remains. I know I have the right ID because I can install other apps using the same ID. I definitley have the right Apple ID. Now I cannot open iPhoto because it says that the application is not compatible with the OS! Has anyone got any tips on how to install these new updates and get around this error? Any help would be appreciated.

Following the info from support I enrolled into something called Mac Up to Date program, then you give them your serial number, invoice, etc... and then they seem to review the information and decide whether you qualify or not. I am still waiting for the answer, but I seem to be eligible (bought my new iMac on the 2nd of October and a few days after it was announced that all new Macs would receive iWork for free, so I guess my computer qualifies as 'new' - it is a late 2013 model after all).
But right now all iWork apps still appear to me as paid apps on the Mac App Store. It would be much easier if they appeared as free apps right away, but it seems the Mac App Store is a bit temperamental. And then there is the problem with the iMovie and iPhoto updates, which some of us are unable to get and that it is not even generally acknowledged by the support staff.
All these issues with the App Store are surprising for a company that takes pride in making things 'easy'

Wi-Fi not working on Apple TV after update

Has anyone else had the specific problem of in and out wi-fi after this Apple TV update?
It recognizes it occasionally, but never long enough to take hold.
This was definitely caused by the update, everything worked fine before that.

My wife had the same problem with iPad 2 after upgrade to 6.0. Don't know if it was important but she had NOT upgraded to iTunes 10.7. I ended up doing a DFU restore and then restored software (still IOS 6.0) and then a iCloud restore and everything was fine with the WiFi . Restoring all music and photos now.

Airprint not working with HP printer after updating to IOS5

Hi,
I have an HP airprint printer (photosmart B210) that worked fine with my ipad2 and iphone 4 all running ios 4.
Now I have a iphone 4s as well as the iphone 4 and ipad. After upgrading to ios 5, I can no longer airprint from any of my ios devices.
I have tried turing everything off anf back on (including time capsule router, printer, ios devices).
I can see the printer from ios but the job just sits waiting to print. I have managed to print one document after trying multiple times.
Anyone having this issue?

Welcome to the HP Forum.
The fact that the SimplePass program is asking your for your Master Windows Password means the program survived the upgrade process to Windows 8.1 -- sort of.
You may want to start with the following:
Create a Restore Point >> Create a Restore Point – Win7 OR Create a restore point Win8
Close all your programs and Shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook
Boot the computer and log in
Check to see is SimplePass has sorted itself.

You may want to try to Update your SimplePass program to the latest version in the version 6.x series.
Before you do that, read and follow the instructions to Export your Webcards to your .tsd file. Regardless of whether the website logins are working right now; you do need this backup in case you lose your HP SimplePass program (through complete removal / reinstallation or though corruption).
Next, consider updating the HP SimplePass program to the latest of the version 6 series. If you are already running the latest version, consider the other options in the guide, including the "Repair SimplePass" procedure.
Open the file > Click on Download > Click “Open in Adobe Reader”

App Store on Macbook Pro is not accepting my Apple ID, Ipad an Iphone are, Please Help?

I have recently updated my computer to the new OS X Mavericks.
Since doing this the App Store on my Macbook Pro is no longer accepting my Apple ID & Password.
I have tried changing my password but there is no change.
My Iphone & Ipad both are working fine with the Apple ID I have.
I am unable to download any update for my Macbook due to my Apple ID not being accepted.
Please help.

It sounds like you are putting a password for your Apple ID that works without issue on your iPad into your iPhone but get a message saying that the password is incorrect. I recommend the steps from the article named:
iCloud: "Incorrect Apple ID or Password" alert when setting up iCloud after upgrading to iOS 7

After completing iOS 7 setup, go to Settings > iCloud.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then enter your previous Apple ID and password.
If your Apple ID or password are not accepted, follow the steps in iOS 7: If you're asked for your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud.

I'm guessing it needs a password to update your system - that is, the administrator password. Most software needs this when you install it.
This is the password you (or someone) chose when you first switched on your computer.

You can try to drag your iPhoto Application to the trash (do not empty the trash yet) and see if it will install from the App store - if it does not contact App store support from the link on the right of the app store window

Intel iMac Core Duo will not accept OS 10.4.8 update

In a rash moment I once more decided to respond to Software Update's continual reminder that I have not updated to OS 10.4.8. I tried twice before and each time resulted in disaster with what I have been told is a kernel panic. During boot-up the screens wipes to grey with a black square saying 'RESTART'.
Then follows days of scouring backups to get everything back again. Well it just did it again. Why will it not accept the (Combo or Delta) update. Some have pointed fingers at RAM but why should the RAM work fine for more than a year and suddenly not for OS 10.4.8 and then work fine again once it has all been retreated to OS 10.4.7 ?

This is all just too weird !
The Apple Hardware Test CD would not run. I tried twice. It got as far as the 'probe' and didn't get any further.
Swapped out the 2 x 1Gb RAM cards for the original (piddling) 2 x 256Mb and tried the AHT again. It ran and found no problems.
AHA ! So it was the memory all along.
Put the 2 x 1Gb cards back in and ran AHT. It ran and found no problems
Okay, let's try the new 10.4.9 update via Software Update.
SAME THING AS BEFORE. Grey screen with the little black one saying restart.
Okay I'll put the 2 x 256Mb cards in and see if it manages to start. Before doing so I gave it one more try and after a self-induced restart halfway through boot-up it started - with the 2 x 1Gb memory.
Went back to Software Update and found a Java update and Airport. Ran them and when it restarted we were back to the Grey 'panic screen'. Tried once more - same thing. Swapped memory for the 2 x 256 and the iMac started. Tried a restart just to make sure. Back to the panic screen.!
removed and replaced the 2 x 256Mb and it started up. Restarted - Panic Screen.
Put in 2 x 1Gb - it started. Restarted - Panic Screen again. Replaced 2 x 256 - started. Restarted - Panic. Restarted - It fired up. Now I'm writing this whilst it is on because I cannot guarantee it will restart without swapping memory or reseating it or maybe just ******* into the wind.
Poxy **** thing can't make up its mind. There is no pattern.
