Ipad 2 recently update to 8.1.2, now won't connect to server. All other computers in house connect fine. Any ideas?
Our Ipad 2 suddenly won't connect to our wifi. Two pc's and an adroid are connecting fine. Recently updated to ios 8.1.2. Have turned it off and on, have turned off network in "settings," and back on. What will "reset network settings" do? It says it will return to factory defaults, so does that mean only that the current wifi router network information will be deleted, but nothing else?
Any other ideas?
Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds
On your iPad use Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings - This causes the iPad to forget all WiFi networks. No other settings are affected.

ATV Updated to 6.2.1, now won't connect to library
Just updated my ATV (3rd gen) to 6.2.1. Everything works EXCEPT connecting to my library. I can play from the computer over ATV through AirPlay, I can connect to Netflix, the ATV even shows up in the side bar on iTunes. It won't connect to the library though. I get the error telling me to make sure it's on the same network (it is) and that iTunes is on (it is).
I've unplugged the unit twice, the second time I let it set for a while before re-plugging it in. Still nothing.
Thoughts?
Side note: Why whenever Apple updates anything does it stop working? Just a thought.If on wifi try connecting via ethernet

You may have installed an extension that made changes to the connection settings.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Iphone crash during software update.....now won't connect
Hey everyone,
I was trying to update the software on my 3gs, but during the update itunes stopped recognizing my iphone and now the phone is giving me the connect to itunes screen because it needs to be restored. Now, the problem is that when I try to connect the phone to my pc it tells me that it's in recovery mode and it needs to be restored, however, when I click retore it gets stuck on the "preparing iphone for restore sceen" and sometimes it stops and gives me the 0xE0000065 error message. So I tried to open ports 88 and 443 and try again, but the same thing keeps happening. If anybody has any suggestions, PLEASE let me know, thanks.I ran Disk Utility and repaired permissions with the following results:

My Ipad 2 recently updated to 6.1.2 Cycles to sleep mode repeatedly. I had restored to 6.0.1 because of the same problem, which then cleared up with the restore process. It seems to have started after letting the battery run down, which after charging it would not report 100%.
After a successful restore, Itunes reported my IOS was out of date and I updated to 6.1.2, which was a mistake. Now it goes to standby mode after about 30 seconds and when I surf, the unit will lock up.
Any ideas on how I can correct this? I've tried most suggestions I've found on the internet. This unit has not had that much use. Not too impressed with this from a quality standpoint. I guess I could use another paper weight. Had I intended to use it alot, I would have purchased the insurance.The problem has resurfaced. There appears to be an issue with the power management subsystem. Since my last post, the power capacity display was not being updated, reporting the same 75% during use regardless of whether it was plugged in or not.
I used the tablet over the weekend and as a result the power went down to 9%, which was finally reported after logging in. This was the first time that the power capacity display had been updated, though the unit was working. After charging it, the power capacity looks right, though it keeps shutting down. It almost looks like some sort of auto shutdown invokes due to the subsystem not being updated with the correct power data. I think the tablet is charging because after restoring/resyncing from two weeks ago, it ran fine on the battery.
Today I was informed that the power should not go below 30% -has anyone heard if this? If so,the moral of the story is not to let the power get low. Well, is there any insight on this or how to correct this or why the power capacity is not being updated. As the last restore sort of correcting the problem of its constantly shutting down, subsequent to the power capacity display was not being updated -
PSE 10 installed on windows 7 desktop and recently updated on windows laptop. now PSE doesn't work on either machine. How can this be fixed?

So my iPhone 4S started draining battery after recent update, battery got changed and it worked perfect for 3 days, all of a sudden the phone shut down and now won't stay on unless connected to mains... Claims its at 100% battery but thats impossible as it was at 30% before it shut down randomly.

Start with the simple things. Reboot your router by removing all power for 15-30 seconds. Then, as Knells suggests, reset the phone by holding the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Plan C is Settings/General/Reset - Reset Network Settings. None of these will cause data loss, but the last one will erase your WiFi passwords.

recent update of software crashed. Now hwen i try to open i tunes, i get message "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem" - It has not!
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I recently updated my iphone 4S with IOS 7 and suddenly last weekend all my contacts was just suddenly wiped out! I have been using this phone for almost 2 years and never had this problem! I reset my phone and restore the back up and it worked for a week and last night the same thing happen again! Are these glitches and a problem with IOS 7? What should I do?

My iPhone 4 has the same problem. Other people I know have similar issues. Other threads in the forum have commented that there could be a problem with the screen proximity sensor that is triggered by your ear being near or touching the on-screen mute or speaker button. They claim that an external case or a screen protector could cause the proximity sensor to malfunction, or possibly the screen needs to be cleaned. I tried putting a non-conductive thin cover over the phone, and it did not help. In my opinion, the phone works as designed. Other than switching to another brand phone or Apple fixing it with a functional iOS update versus a pretty iOS update, I've only found one solution, which is to use a headphone/microphone or a hands-free device. Of course, using a headphone/microphone is often inconvenient.

Can't move files around primary hard drive or to trash without authenticating
Just installed Lion and now whenever I drag a file to a folder on my primary hard drive, I have to authenticate. Same with sending stuff to trash. When I do get it to trash, the items disappear without me telling it to empty trash.
